"At this point, sinking to the bottom of the sea, vanishing without a trace.
"And everyone on the ship was killed.
"Including the Hanhai Gang Leader, they all met with untimely deaths."
Ding Luo's brows furrowed, he very much wanted to say 'impossible'.
The Hanhai Gang Leader was someone capable of sparring with the Dragon King Hall Master and slightly gaining the upper hand.
With his mastery of Hanhai Heaven controlling Technique, how extraordinary it was?
How could he be so easily killed by someone?
However, from Zeng Chou's introduction, it was clear there were more twists to this, so after listening to this statement, he said nothing more, just quietly listened as Zeng Chou continued:
"It is said, back then the Hanhai Gang was rampant for a while, naturally claiming many lives.
"As a result, many people wished to get rid of them for good.
"That night, someone arrived by sea, wielding a blood-colored longsword.
"The Hanhai Gang roared in a crowd, seeing such a figure, they couldn't be completely indifferent, yet whether they particularly cared much was debatable.
"When asked for his name, unexpectedly, the person remained silent, merely glancing at the people on the ship.
"It's said his eyes were blood-red, as if filled with blood.
"Meeting his gaze would capture one's spirit, making them feel as though they were in a mountain of corpses and sea of blood.
"By the time they came to their senses, the man was already on the ship.
"Wherever the longsword turned, anyone it encountered was killed.
"In its wake, there wasn't a single enemy who lasted a round.
"He held the sword in one hand, using only one move in his Swordsmanship, yet that move seemed to have been honed through countless trials, no matter what angle or manner it was executed, it would ultimately pierce into the opponent's heart.
"With one stroke of the sword, the fresh blood seemed to almost drain away.
"He started the massacre from one ship, fighting his way to another.
"The Hanhai Gang was extraordinary, their numbers considerable, yet none could stop him.
"They could only allow him to commit slaughter at will.
"This person's Inner Strength seemed inexhaustible, his energy endless.
"He killed all the people on a total of seventy-three ships, only then did he reach the main ship, without showing any sign of exhaustion.
"The Hanhai Gang Leader immediately confronted him, yet never expected that his famed Hanhai Heaven controlling Technique couldn't withstand even a casual thrust from the other person.
"After one sword strike, the Hanhai Gang Leader died then and there.
"This cold-faced killer, after seeing him perish, burst into laughter towards the sky.
"On the main ship were all top experts of the Hanhai Gang, with the leader dead, how could they let this person run rampant?
"They immediately attempted to attack in a group, yet never thought that this person now seemed to have lost his technique, swinging the longsword wildly.
"The demonic Swordsmanship appeared before everyone's eyes.
"Where the sword edge passed, not even an intact corpse was left behind.
"That night, everyone who witnessed this set of Swordsmanship went almost insane.
"They got completely lost under what seemed like a demonic wild sword, and afterwards, these people even lost part of this memory.
"Those not driven mad, however, kept this affair in utmost secrecy.
"They dared not mention it, not even think about it, for at the mere thought, they felt the sword hanging over their hearts.
"With a mere thought, their lives could be taken.
"After the man had killed everyone on the main ship, he dashed wildly across the sea.
"Though the Hanhai Gang had many people, upon seeing that person depart, not a single one dared to block him.
"The man was like a sea ghost, vanishing after that night's departure.
"The Hanhai Gang decided to burn all seventy-four ships, including the main one, letting this matter submerge in the depths of the sea."
At this point in Zeng Chou's story, everyone fell into silence.
These words didn't sound like a story from Jianghu, but rather like a myth or legend.
Wang Chengying and others knew the Jianghu was deep and unfathomable, any kind of event could happen.
As such, they didn't display disbelief.
However, the young miss of the Wang Family was clearly not convinced by Zeng Chou's tale.
She couldn't help but mutter, "Lies, your teeth will fall out."
But unexpectedly, Zeng Chou heard these six words, shook his head and smiled:
"Given the situation, I have no reason to concoct a story to deceive everyone here.
"However, it's just hearsay, indeed no reason to take it seriously.
"If the young lady believes my words are false, then let them be false."
"My sister is young and doesn't know the perils of Jianghu, forgive her, Lord Zeng."
Wang Chengying lightly clasped his fists.
Zeng Chou shook his head, not minding, simply saying:
"After I heard of this, I decided to investigate a bit.
"After all, being a pirate, one must know some information and have some knowledge.
"Lest there's something precious on the ships we raid, we'd unknowingly discard them as cheap items.
"Especially treasure swords like this that could make even a colossus like the Hanhai Gang disappear.
"If I could obtain it, imagine the unimaginable price it would fetch.
"Through my investigation, I discovered something that even surprised me.
"Before the Hanhai Gang disappeared, there had been several blood cases at sea.
"From small merchant ships and pirates to larger islands and towns, the exact number of people who died is uncountable, but of those recorded and investigated.
"The number of dead was no less than several thousand!
