Surgery Godfather

Chapter 1190: Pop Culture

Careful is the way to eternal safety, Yang Ping understands this concept well. He's no longer just an ordinary doctor but a strategic-level technologist. Such talents indeed need to consider security issues, as some studies might affect others' interests.

"Don't worry, I'll be careful. Plus, I trust Manager Qiu and their team's strength. With so many people protecting me, and besides, I enjoy wandering around. My routine is basically between two points," Yang Ping reassures Xiao Su.

Xiao Su nods: "Uh-huh."

"Fujiwara Miyuki, I've asked the hospital to send her back, actually, Manager Qiu and their team are wary of her too. Not just her, they are cautious of anyone, especially newcomers," Yang Ping says.

"My intuition might not be right, but being cautious never hurts," Xiao Su speaks gently.

The two conversed for a long time, deep into the night, chat taking a turn, they successfully conducted a human genetics experiment in the study.

The next day, Manager Qiu reports the current situation to Yang Ping. By rights, these matters shouldn't be disclosed to Yang Ping, but since he has brought it up, Manager Qiu needs to update him.

"A mysterious anonymous individual sent us an email, revealing that you're in danger recently, someone intends to harm you. The information matches what we know completely, and some details are even clearer than we have. We don't know who this person is, but the intelligence provided is accurate, aiding us in precisely eliminating the threat."

"I also have a guess about who this person might be, but before confirming, it's best not to speak unwisely, fearing it might cause trouble for them, considering they're helping us."

"During this period, we just need to be extra cautious. Please rest assured, Professor Yang, we can handle these and ensure your safety."

Manager Qiu cannot reveal much, as it's crucial not to distract Professor Yang and provoke additional stress. Typically, these matters are dealt with quietly and discreetly.

Usually, Yang Ping doesn't pay much attention to his safety, and Manager Qiu and their team do their work unnoticed and inconspicuous, intentionally lowering their presence. Even in the hospital, they merely wear security uniforms, blending with no special distinctions. In reality, whether it's in the wards or the labs, the security personnel are all assigned by Manager Qiu, not ordinary hospital guards.

Who could this person be? Manager Qiu doesn't mention it for now; Yang Ping doesn't have time to mull over such matters, so he only briefly thinks about it and then sets it aside.

Leaving Manager Qiu's office, it wasn't time for shift change yet; doctors were busy preparing to handover duty, Yang Ping plans to visit the laboratory.

Zhang Lin walks around the doctor's office, holding a newspaper: "Check out this report, Science Aids the Crime-Solving, Blood Drops Reveal Culprit. The noisy case recently has been solved, Wen Ruzheng played a key role, receiving gratitude from the Provincial Public Security Bureau."

"Let me see." Little Five leans in to look, while many others gather around.

"The report mentions that our Sanbo Hospital helped in the case, Wen Ruzheng was highlighted, but our professor's name isn't there, making it quite a miss for Wen Ruzheng."

"How can the professor's name just casually show up in these news stories?"

For the sake of protecting Yang Ping's personal information, Yang Ping's name wouldn't appear in media reports now.

The newspaper was about that bizarre case. Initially, Dr. Yuan from the Provincial Hall came to Sanbo Hospital seeking help, intending to consult clinical knowledge, unexpectedly discussing the case until it was solved.

Yang Ping also glanced at the newspaper, noting minimal details about the case, focusing more on how medical technology aided the crime resolution.

Before heading to the laboratory, Yang Ping went alone to the ward to check on the conjoined twins and Professor Fang; the twins were about to be transferred to the rehabilitation department for therapy. Professor Fang had always wanted to be discharged, but his school called, hoping he would rest well until he could walk normally before returning to work. Likely, Professor Fang made ongoing requests to resume work, compelling the school to ask Yang Ping to speak with him, ensuring his peace during recovery.

Entering the ward early in the morning, Professor Fang was already busy, surrounded by blueprints and calculations. His students were staying at Sanbo Hotel, yet to arrive; he calculated alone.

"Professor Yang!" He immediately stopped his pen.

"Look at me, Professor Yang, I'm feeling great now, completely ready to return to school and work. The laboratory is busy, I mostly just speak anyway, so whether in a wheelchair or using crutches, it doesn't interfere with work. I'm entirely capable of resuming," Professor Fang quickly got off the bed, demonstrating walking with crutches in the ward, hoping Yang Ping would allow his discharge.

Yang Ping pretends to be stern: "In this situation, you mustn't leave the hospital. Regulated rehabilitation treatment is necessary; premature discharge will significantly affect recovery, especially the head, impacting memory and brain functions."

"Really…" Hearing it could affect brain functions, Professor Fang hesitates noticeably.

Yang Ping seizes the opportunity: "You shouldn't rush, respect objective laws, we mustn't grow hastily."

"Yes, yes, yes!" Professor Fang disappointingly sits back on the bed, showing a slight expression of disappointment.
