Subclass of Alchemy that twists fragrant oils and herbal vapors into toxic clouds of manipulation, madness, and decay.

Delivers harmful or corrupting effects via scented vapors. These can vary depending on the intent of the user.

Functions like Aromatherapy but reverses the beneficial effect.

Applies debuffs (Fear, Poison, Confusion, Exhaustion).

Can bypass traditional magical resistances since it's often treated as a "natural" effect.

Sample Scents:

Despair Bloom: Spreads a subtle, sweet scent that lulls targets into a state of apathy, sapping morale and weakening their will to fight or resist.

Withering Incense: The air becomes thick with aromatic smoke that, instead of restoring vitality, leeches life energy from those who inhale it, causing fatigue, premature aging, or even necrosis.

Enthralling Perfume: A heady fragrance that enthralls weaker minds, charming enemies or turning allies against each other.

Rotwood Spores: Carried on a deceptively pleasant forest scent, these spores infect wounds and lungs, causing disease and slow internal decay.

Dark Homeopathy Subclass of Alchemy. The sinister practice of diluting malevolent forces into tinctures to affect mind instead of body. Strengthens ingredients and potions by diluting them while shaking them in a specific rhythm and ritual. Uses the targets own mind to increase or create a negative potion effect using the Nocebo (negative Placebo) effect.

Must usually be adapted or created for a specific kind of enemy or even individual person.

Dark Osteopathy A sinister martial art and close-combat discipline that focuses on manipulating the skeletal structures of opponents with terrifying precision.

This is the reverse of Osteopathy, which is a form of physiotherapy that uses stretching, massage and grip techniques to loosen blockages and tensions in the musculoskeletal system, the internal organs and the nervous system. The "dark" version is just the reverse. It blocks joints and disrupts internal organs.

Dark Acupuncture Darken hasn't used this technique much yet. Paralyzes or disables limbs by putting needles into acupuncture points.

Where traditional acupuncture balances the body's energies and promotes healing, Dark Acupuncture tears open the pathways of life, warps mana flows, nerves, and blood flow to turn them into conduits of agony, madness, and corruption.

Dark Ayurveda Corrupts the principles of life and balance, not by neglecting them, but by weaponizing them. Instead of restoring health, the practitioner induces imbalance, causing the victim's own body to become the source of their suffering or a tool to fuel dark rituals.

Where true Ayurveda seeks balance between the elemental forces of the body, you manipulate these forces to bring about curses, plagues, and unnatural transformations.
