"Two of you kids come out and receive our blessing."
Flinching out of his reading session, he was slightly surprised when the library around him shook and crumbled before he was knocked out. The phenomena didn't seem to end there because the Shi ladies were frowning.
A frown of pain.
That was rare to see on a similar replica of his mother's face.
"Why so feisty?" They complained about the power spreading throughout the Temple.
Ebony burped from the aura they were submerged in. Looking at his wife, the two of them seem to be reacting very differently than the rest of the people also submerged.
Xin had a flushed face and couldn't stop hiccupping furiously. It was rather endearing.
Guessing that it was due to the Ning Saint's insistence both of them found themselves teleported onto a wide garden with a clear pond nearby. The architecture simply screamed Ning.
Ebony tried to sense what happened but it was faster than a blink. He chalked it up to something similar to the 3rd gen Ning's mana teleporting. He didn't know how else to describe the translocation.
He was sensing a rather serious mood from Shi Tao which was quite unlike whatever she'd shown him so far.
"Take this as a gift and apology from both of us." The Ning Saint muttered before stabbing a finger to his head.
He didn't feel the need to dodge but he wouldn't have succeeded anyway. His mindspace exploded the next moment as foreign Will flooded it.
Even then, he managed to take in his peripheral view where his wife was seemingly bloated, black veins rising across her milky skin.
He found a soft sensation within his grasp before he realized that she unknowingly held his hand when the Saints moved.
Unable to move his body but feeling the warm hand, he relaxed and dived into his mindspace.
Taking a moment to understand what was happening, he nodded to express his gratitude.
Through Mr Guru and his apprentice Elijah, Ebony understood that a normal human's mindspace was nothing like his. For a human less than a century old, it was too vast. Other than his baseline making it that way, it was also due to his Core Skill. The building of his Unique Skill where he spent almost three hundred thousand years of perceived time merely doing repetitive work on his Mana Chassis also made a big difference to this space.
Right now, the outer and inner layers of his mindspace were completely full. Bombarded with memories.
The Ning Saint was injecting memories into him. Combat memories. Not of her alone, but seemingly random fights and battles. He was injected with knowledge of esoteric magic to normal every day combat ramped up to eleven.
Ebony's mindspace was transparent, colourless and empty. Mr Guru can colour his mindspace and bring out memories that were located where it should be. And making no mistake, pretty much the entirety of the outer layers were combat memories.
But he felt like layers upon layers of his entire life experience, all his battle simulations were multiplicatively increasing by the minute. The mindspace wasn't a physical location, a single space could have multiple layers of memories, all connected in some way to other memories.
Ebony's mental simulations were furiously compartmentalizing the new memories, all of them being packed as simulations.
"Impressive you can still nod. You're his son alright. I can't be stingier than Ah Tao. Don't break."
Ebony didn't know his physical body moved to wipe the blood off his nose while brain mush was leaking out of his ears.
All he knew was the repetitive, robotic documentation he needed to do just multiplied a few folds as if time was compressed and space was bending. Things were weird in his head. Weirder than it always has been.
Races he'd never heard of.
Creatures he'd never seen.
Magic he'd never imagined.
Techniques he didn't know existed.
And then there was a glimpse.
The glimpse turned into a droplet. The droplet rolled into a stream. The stream, the river, the storm washed his mind clear.
His parents.
Their skills. Their magic.
Their Intent and Will.
It might be from a third person point of view, but the Ning Saint's method of transferring made it like he was standing in her shoes, watching through her eyes.
His father's Domain—didn't seem like a Domain at all. It seemed much more…absolute. Understandably so, the Ning Saint seemed to only know his Father at the time as an Emperor, not a Grandmaster.
There was no mix of elements, only ice, frost and arcane.
The Ning Saint herself didn't know what the effects of his Father's Domain of, only the fact that all creatures faced the possible fates of freezing and shattering to have their physical and mana chassis 'nutrient' absorbed, souls frozen to be slowly broken down so they couldn't escape to Hell, the Netherworld.
Or face the painful way out of being exposed to mana.
Mana so pure, so dense, so alien its 'radioactivity' killed Saints exposed to it through mana poisoning. Only stronger foes survived the mana radiation to have the honour of freezing to death and feeding his Domain.
It was simple and powerful. Simplicity seemed to match what he knew about his father. But powerful was not.
His father had a large frame but never fought or beat him, physically. He was always looking at nothing, or his mother.
Looking at his son, Ebony like he was looking past his eyes. Stating rather than questioning or asking was a habit taken from his father.
Instead of being powerful, he was steadfast. Ebony couldn't imagine anything happening that could phase this man. He thought the nature of developing defensive skills and techniques was genetics from his father but looking at this overly aggressive, overly…arrogant Domain was confounding, to say the least.
Because the Domain didn't have Ebony's Will setting of differentiating hostiles from friendlies, it activated against everything and everyone regardless of intent.
The memories he was being shown were dozens of the second generation Xengs travelling together, and they accidentally bumped into his father's Domain after following the source of potent mana wafting off.
When they truly entered the range of his Domain, all of the Xengs turned purple and half of them vomited on the spot due to mana poisoning. Though they just burped it out and flushed the mana out the moment after.
His mother and her sister, Shi Tao along with two unknown men with the Ning Saint herself seemed unbothered by the mana of course.
Once the freezing began only Shi Tao and his mother continued exploring the Domain physically. The Ning Saint was frozen too but she had some perception ability that allowed her to continue exploring the place with the pair of Shi who didn't even shiver.
'Dad's a Saint ranked creature here and he became an Emperor ranked after getting a human body from the First or rather, the Gods she got to make a human body.'

The pair of Shi sisters were indomitable when it came to their physical bodies, the Domain wasn't doing jack to them.
Ebony assumed the two men who were frozen with the Ning Saint were Shi Tao and the Ning Saint's husbands. They didn't wear emblems but he didn't recognise the mask even though he saw most of the 2nd gen at his wedding.
The Ning Saint was the first to be targeted by the source and owner of the Domain but she proved herself capable of fending off against the arcane spell. That's when his mother's spear pierced the Domain and crushed part of it into what seemed to be a black hole.
Hundreds of these holes tore into the Domain and removed the Will completely, but the Domain never stopped repairing itself at the same speed if not faster.
Not a sight of his father was around. Well, he didn't know what his father looked like before he had a human body.
The congregation of mana. The Domain itself seemed to be his father's body, for it was all made of mana chassis. Pure mana chassis, there was not a single drop of life force.
The battle was conducted by the Ning Saint, Shi Tao and his mother but the three of them didn't make much progress even though they weren't in terrible shape and both the Ning and Shi were still Emperors at this point.
Ebony was able to see the true deviousness behind his mother's delayed strikes here. She was practically always advancing and every movement of hers sets a trap for the future. She didn't even have to attack to make new wounds.
Quasar was like a string, a rope. The hardy spear looked as if it curved and was limp every time it was swung other than spear thrusts.
'What's the Intent in that black hole…it doesn't just absorb and crush.' Sadly this point of view didn't let him sense the Intent in her gravity magic.
The most fascinating thing to see was his mother's body or magic body reacting to spells. Similar to his layer of repulsion, she also had a gravity spell for defence. But she didn't repel, she attracted. When spells or projectiles touched her gravity spell, they were translocated.
Being stabbed by an shard of ice in her belly would have the same out shoot out from her mask or anywhere else really. Anywhere her spear had crossed before, from any time in the present or future she decided to have it sent to.
The application of gravity mana was very spatial and temporal compared to his use to generate kinetic force.
The other Xengs slowly broke free or found a method to deal with their predicament over weeks. Unsure how long this lasted, the 2nd gen Kong, a man used space magic to bring all of them away.
However, the Ning Saint was able to see that his mother popped the space spell and stayed behind to continue…training. She was clearly having some fun.
The rest of them couldn't or didn't fight back against the Kong's spell.
Then the Ning Saint cut off the memories there but, what Ebony wanted to see was where the Kong brought them since it had way denser mana all of a sudden. And the back of another woman was present.
Too bad the 'vision' was cut off there.
'That was who they called the First.' Ebony didn't have any clues but there wasn't a need for the clues. By the process of elimination, this was the period of time when 3rd gen Xengs didn't exist yet.
He also didn't know who the Wen Clan guy was, but if there was no 3rd gen then, he couldn't have absorbed his whole Clan to make his runic physique. So perhaps he wasn't too strong in the past and the Ning Saint didn't show him much about that man.

"Heheh, your mind is fun. It's healing so fast I almost imagined it to be unbreakable." So giggles the Saint.
'Ting' 'Core Skill Boundless Serenity Geyser reformed.'
"Is this really the time for that, did my core skill just disappear for a moment."
"In the mind, time moves however fast or slow I want it to. We're only limited by your mind's recovery or if your mind is stronger than most Demi-Gods or the same as your tribe's youths."
"So we have time."
"Doesn't matter, you're already fried."
"Is my puny Grandmaster brain at its limits already?"
"It wasn't easy recovering it so yes, it has already gone past the limit and I brought you back instead of leaving you as a fool."
Hyperlucid Atelier - Operate your mind at an accelerated pace, seamlessly weaving instinct, experience, and recorded data into near-perfect battle simulations. "Question." He wondered if she was reading his mind or if he was allowing her.
"You don't want to know how I brought you back." Her voice echoed.
"Okay." He knew mental suggestions were being used on him right now but he accepted it.
"You people have issues with the Rime Tribe, may I know why?"
"Your blessing is over." She curtly replied.
He found himself out of his mindspace with his body drenched. The immediate sensation he had was that his Will capacity skyrocketed but because it was near empty he didn't know how much it increased.
"While we wait for your wife, I'll explain the contents of our wedding gifts."
Unlike him, Xin was in great condition other than her veins bulging black. She was even widely smiling. Now that she had her mask off, he was able to confirm that she was extremely expressive as he imagined.
Instead of talking, a bundle of memories and knowledge was injected into his head.
The contents were rare materials and ingredients for their next evolution, it would help them cover the lacking baseline trait they had in some areas.
The stuff that Ebony and Xin got for each other on Cinderash and Teheil would match with these ingredients but these were far more extravagant and arguably more suitable.
For example, Veronica got barrels of blood from the Blood Saintess. The Blood Saintess was referred to with respect coming from the Ning Saint…ess. That was supposed to be the main ingredient for Xin but it had to be diluted with multiple oceans.
Altogether, the concoction they wanted the two of them to soak in while evolving was a dangerous balance act because the energy might be too potent for mere Grandmasters.
'How would this energy be converted to natural potential in an accelerated time frame?' Ebony considered that perhaps it wasn't accelerated much since his previous evolution took almost 2 months.
If it continued to increase, evolving was rather dangerous since even his sleep-fighting skill wouldn't work. He would be knocked out cold for real.
"I'm so full." His wife burped while her body steamed rapidly burning or compressing energy within her bloodstream.
Ebony's sore brain throbbed in pain when she looked at him. Her Intent was drastically sharpened. Instead of strengthening, it seemed like she was directing Intent with more ease.
"All that's left is to evolve."
"Hang on, that child of mine forgot one thing." The Ning Saintess muttered.
Suddenly, another memory entered his mind. Only this time it was from his point of view.
He looked at his wife and she looked at him, she giggled.
"Hahaha, we almost killed each other. Again." Ebony laughed. His dry laugh was not very happy about the mind magic affecting them to this degree.
"You were handsome there, making me fall all over again."
'I suppose it doesn't matter.' The mind messing was a gift in disguise. "Now, can you carry me home I can't move." Ebony couldn't control his mana. They scrambled like eggs whenever he moved them because his mind was like jelly.
Wobbling forward holding her belly, Xin took him home.
When the couple got out of sight, "He can still stand, how miraculous. And he didn't change."
"Who do you think made that boy? The Shi's bodies never fail them even if their minds do. But you went too far don't you think? His Will…"
"He's still the same person. Those scums' bloodline has some merits to say the least."
"We should get going, we're stopping their growth again." Shi Tao didn't even bother addressing the slight to her nephew's blood.
