Taishang also joyfully recited his Treasure Decree, "With a devoted mind, I bow in worship. Adapting teachings to places, crossing calamities to save beings. Master of Emperors, Teacher of Sovereigns, Instructor of Kings, assuming names and titles… Great Compassionate Vows, Great Holy Mercy, Lord Lao Zi of the Great Monad Tao Virtue Heavenly Venerate."
