I Can Assimilate Everything

Chapter 495: Terror! I

In The Void, where existence itself was more suggestion than certainty, Achilles wrapped himself in the Existential Authority of Fables like an artist preparing to paint with reality itself.

"The crystalline titans," he explained to Rose as platinum light began to weave around his form, "aren't merely silicon-based life. They're living harmonics, beings who achieved consciousness through resonance. Each one is essentially… a self-aware song given form."

…!

The transformation began with his core, stellar matter reorganizing into crystalline structures that caught light that didn't exist in The Void.

His body elongated, growing to nearly a hundred meters in height, each limb becoming a faceted prism that refracted possibility itself.

His surface wasn't smooth but composed of millions of smaller crystals, each one humming with its own frequency that contributed to a greater harmony.

"Your turn," he said, extending his newly crystalline hand toward Rose.

The Authority of Fables flowed from him, wrapping around her water form with narrative weight that rewrote her very nature.

Rose's transformation was more fluid, her water nature making the shift almost graceful.

She became living sapphire, her crystalline form maintaining the suggestion of flowing water frozen at the moment of perfect motion.

Where Achilles resonated with deep bass tones that made space itself vibrate, she sang in frequencies that could shatter stars if properly focused!

"How do I look?" she twirled, her voice now a harmony of chimes that somehow still conveyed her personality.

"Like a fiery gemstone…" Achilles replied with a calm smile. "Perfect for our purposes."

He took a step…not a normal step but one infused with the Regulation of Quantum, collapsing the probability of distance into certainty of arrival.

They passed through the barrier between Void and Star Sea with the ease of thought becoming action.

…!

And…

Star Sea Gamma-7 revealed itself in spectacular difference from their native space.

"Look," Rose observed, her crystalline eyes refracting the local radiation into spectrums of light. "The space is…vibrating with audible sound?"

"Everything here resonates," Achilles explained as they materialized fully into this foreign space.

"The stars don't just burn, they harmonize. The planets don't just orbit, they create symphonies through their gravitational interactions. Even the dust between worlds carries frequency."

Another quantum step took them deeper into this musical universe. Space here wasn't empty but filled with invisible currents of sound that only crystalline beings could properly perceive.

Colors existed that were actually condensed harmonics, visible music that painted reality in impossible shades.

"It's beautiful," Rose admitted, "in an alien, somewhat terrifying way."

"Mmm…" Achilles nodded, taking another step that covered impossible distance.

They arrived in the domain of the Resonance Hierarchy, which controlled the northern segments of Star Sea Gamma-7.

The space here was more ordered, harmonies arranging themselves into hierarchical patterns that created natural boundaries and defenses.

The Resonance Hierarchy itself manifested as massive crystalline structures that were part city, part instrument, stretching for light years.

Towers that were actually tuning forks stretched toward stars that pulsed in rhythm with their vibrations. Bridges made of solid sound connected floating platforms where crystalline titans moved with purpose that suggested urgent preparation.

They were already on guard. Hundreds of thousands of titans, ranging from small scouts barely ten meters tall to warriors that dwarfed Achilles and Rose's current forms, moved in patterns that created defensive harmonies.

Their bodies caught and reflected light in aggressive patterns, a visual warning to any who might threaten their domain.

"They know something's coming," Rose observed.

"But not what," Achilles replied. "Watch…over there."

In the center of the grandest platform, a figure emerged that made space itself sing in respect.

Titan-Primus Shal'garon stood three hundred meters tall, his crystalline form so pure it seemed to be carved from a single, impossible diamond.

Every facet of his being reflected not just light but possibility, showing glimpses of futures that might be.

When he moved, reality harmonized with him, accepting his presence as fundamental to its composition.

"Tier 9, Null Scale" Achilles confirmed quietly. "The real thing, not inflated by narrative authority but earned through millennia of perfecting resonance itself."

They floated in the periphery, their forms invisible to the gathering titans thanks to Achilles's Existence Veiling…they were there but not there, present but not part of the current story.

"Here's the plan," Achilles said, his voice carrying only to Rose through frequencies that didn't technically exist. "I'll fight as one of the crystalline titans, emerging at the dramatic moment when hope seems lost…classic narrative structure that Mor'dantius won't be able to resist. He'll be facing Shal'garon, swimming in his pride and arrogance as he demonstrates his superiority over a Tier 9 'primitive.'"

He paused, ensuring she understood the timing.

"That's when you strike with the poison. While he's distracted by his own performance, believing himself untouchable in his moment of triumph, I'll finish him myself. Pride before the fall…his favorite story, turned against him."

Rose smiled, an expression that looked strange on a crystalline face but somehow still conveyed her particular brand of fiery destruction!

"The poison I've crafted doesn't attack the physical form of the target…that would be too simple, too easy to defend against. Instead, it corrupts their narrative structure itself as I dont even need to be near him to attack. I csn just alloe it to flow onto his storm of Existential Authority of Fables!"

She held up a crystalline hand, and within it, something that wasn't quite there pulsed with malevolent purpose.

"When introduced into a Nar'Thyss's system, it begins rewriting their story from the inside. Every triumph becomes pyrrhic, every strength becomes weakness, every certainty becomes doubt. For a Tier 9 existence like Mor'dantius, who has spent millennia accumulating narrative authority, it will be like watching his entire existence develop plot holes. Hmm.."

Her eyes flashed with a dangerous light as if she was excited to see this!

The space around them suddenly filled with wrongness…the signature of reality being violated by things that shouldn't exist.

The forces of Mor'dantius the Harvest King began to appear, tearing through space like ink bleeding through paper.

Thousands of Nar'Thyss warriors, each one a story of conquest given wings, followed by the Scourge itself…narrative plague made manifest, designed to consume stories and leave only emptiness behind.

They looked like a terrifying dark silver cloud of space!

The crystalline titans responded immediately, their forms blazing with harmonic light as they gathered to defend their reality.

Warriors sang battle songs that became weapons, scouts created dissonance fields that disrupted the invaders' approach, and supporters harmonized to create shields of solid sound.

Then Titan-Primus Shal'garon made his presence known.

He roared gloriously!

The sound that emerged from his crystalline form made space itself vibrate in sympathy, a fundamental frequency that declared this space his and his alone!

The harmonic wave spread outward, causing lesser Nar'Thyss to falter in their flight, their narrative structures momentarily confused by sound that existed more fundamentally than story.

"OUTSIDERS!" his voice boomed across dimensions. "You dare bring your corruption to the Resonance Hierarchy? You dare threaten the Song of Existence itself?"

His challenge rang out, prideful, powerful, and perfect bait for someone like Mor'dantius who could never resist a dramatic confrontation with supposed equals!

The stage was set.

The actors were in position.

And in the periphery, invisible and patient, death waited in crystalline form for pride to create its opening!
