Wizard: I Can Refine Everything

Chapter 142: Each Displays Their Divine Skills

The Predecessor Civilization Alliance, composed of the Shepherd Star Titan, Supreme, and Furnace Man, is the strongest civilization alliance the Civilization Devourer has encountered since it began devouring civilizations.

For them, the Civilization Devourer is a formidable enemy, but not an invincible catastrophe.

And regarding the technology against the Civilization Devourer, they naturally have it as well.

Among them, to prevent the World Fortress from being contaminated and consumed by the Civilization Devourer and becoming an obstacle to the Alliance, the Predecessor Civilization Alliance has modified every World Tree in the World Fortress.

These modifications are specifically designed for the World Tree, enabling it to have a strong resistance against the Civilization Devourer's erosion. In extreme cases, the World Tree can even absorb the Civilization Devourer's power as its own nourishment.

This capability is beyond what even the Civilization Leaders of the three civilizations can achieve.

Only the World Tree, such a special being, can accomplish this.

With that said, the Great World Tree initiated the attack first. Although only the Tree Spirit of the Great World Tree arrived, its experience in battling the Curse Demon Empire gave it considerable knowledge on fighting with the Tree Spirit Body.

A tree seed suddenly took root and sprouted in the Void, then grew into a World Tree over a million meters tall at a speed challenging for the naked eye to observe.

The Great World Tree merged with the World Tree, and in an instant, the tree crown trembled and transformed into a gigantic wooden Titan.

He shouted loudly, "Monster, we meet again!"

With the Great World Tree taking the lead, the remaining Dominators naturally wouldn't remain idle.

Beelzebub waved his Magic Wand, and the Power of Mystery began to gather in the Void. This Power of Mystery divided into thousands, each injected into the wand's heads.

Buzz!

The heads on the Magic Wand suddenly opened wide mouths, and thick green poison gushed out like a spring.

The poison gathered in the Void, and in the blink of an eye turned into a green river. Even Richard could sense a hint of danger from this river.

As an aged Abyss Dominator, Beelzebub had countless methods at his disposal, and after receiving technological support from the Wizard Alliance, his methods were further upgraded.

Now, he was tens of times more dangerous than when they negotiated.

Beside him, the other Dominators also began displaying their divine skills.

The stars on the Eternal God King rotated, and a mass of amorphous twisting matter slowly appeared at the center of that Galaxy.

Richard could detect a vast ocean of Power of Faith gathering within the Eternal God King, continuously injecting into that twisted matter.

"Is this your weapon?" Richard asked.

"Yes."

"This technology... I've never seen it before."

The Eternal God King's voice was calm: "Richard, you're not the only one to have fortuitous encounters."

On the other side, the Eye Demon Leader Rakat and the Emperor of the Curse Demon Empire, Wild Wind, seemed to have joined forces.

Within the Wizard Alliance, the Curse Demons and Eye Demons have quite a good relationship. Although they have only just met, their racial traits and appearances make them feel a sense of closeness.

Both sides reached a deep consensus on the issue of their eyes just being huge.

Scarlet thorns floated around Wild Wind, forming an ocean of thorns. Beside him, the Eye Demon Leader Rakat's tentacles danced as enormous Power of Dimension focused continuously in his eye.

Watching the many Dominators charging forward, the Civilization Devourer's actions in devouring the world slowed involuntarily.

Although it was powerful, it hadn't yet recovered to its peak state.

And each of these Dominators before it was not to be underestimated. Their combined power, even it dared not ignore.

The flesh on its body started writhing, and massive tentacles as thick as stars emerged from its body.

On these tentacles, the features of various creatures could be seen, and if viewed closely, faces of wailing creatures were visible beneath the tentacles' skin.

They were all beings devoured by the Civilization Devourer.

Simultaneously, a wailing, almost like a Spiritual Shock, appeared directly in the souls of many Dominators without any medium.

"Still the same old trick."

The Great World Tree coldly sneered, crashing straight into a tentacle.

At the moment of impact, countless tendrils sprouted abruptly from its body. Like drills, these tendrils bored into the tentacle's body, continuously absorbing and transforming the power of the Civilization Devourer into nourishment for the Great World.

But at the same time, the Great World Tree's consciousness also began to falter.

Its memories started to blur, rationality began to collapse, and a tint of black spread across its body.

The Great World Tree could indeed absorb the power of the Civilization Devourer, but that was only in emergency situations. The pollution brought by the Civilization Devourer's power was unavoidable.

But that was in the past.

As the black appeared on it, a golden flame suddenly ignited on its body.

Miracle Fire.

In the past, the flames in the Supreme Furnace of the Furnace Men, though possessing certain purification effects, were not as powerful as the present Miracle Fire. Moreover, its purification resembled indiscriminate destruction, where it would cleanse the power of the Civilization Devourer and indiscriminately burn the World Tree's body alike.

As long as everything is burned away, there would naturally be no pollution.

But now it was different. The Miracle Fire tended to burn the power of the Civilization Devourer. As long as the Great World Tree kept absorbing, the Miracle Fire would be harmless to the Great World Tree.

At the other side, Beelzebub's poison river also clashed with a tentacle.

The thick green poison corroded it as soon as it touched the tentacle. Poison mixed with Power of Mystery spread along the Energy Cycle unstoppably, even by the Civilization Devourer.

This method Beelzebub had never used before was entirely new and specifically adjusted.

Even as powerful as the Civilization Devourer was, it couldn't find a solution immediately and could only crudely sever it.

Bang!

Accompanied by a loud explosion.

The poisoned parts suddenly burst.

The Civilization Devourer's greatest advantage was its mass; when faced with unsolvable issues, even if it couldn't find a solution immediately, its massive form could withstand until it found one.

On the other side, the Sea of Thorns of Wild Wind had already touched a tentacle.

These thorns seemed to have a life of their own, as they immediately burrowed into the tentacle upon contact.

Of course, they wouldn't absorb the power of the Civilization Devourer like the Great World Tree.

Wild Wind did not possess that ability.

However, he also didn't need that ability.

The Curse Demons are naturally gifted in the art of enslavement, adept at controlling other beings, even Dominators they can enslave.

This power is naturally manifested within the Thorn Crown.

The thorns that infiltrated the tentacle were incessantly vying for control over it.

The Civilization Devourer's power sought to corrupt them, but these thorns were protected by the Power of Mystery, making corruption very difficult.

Under the full exertion of Wild Wind, its rate of corruption couldn't even match the speed of the thorns' division.

Beside him, the Eye Demon slowly shifted its gaze towards the tentacle under the control of the thorns.

In those eyes enormous as stars, a tangible "gaze" exploded like a supernova.

The Eye Demons are a race that follows Spiritual Evolution and they have delved deeply into dimensions and energy.

The gaze appeared, slicing off the tip of a gigantic tentacle, and left a wound akin to the East African Rift Valley on the body of the Civilization Devourer.

The Dominators at this moment used techniques they had never employed before; they had long discovered the tricks of the Civilization Devourer, so they had been holding back.

And now, these tactics had all been unleashed.

When faced with these new tactics, the Civilization Devourer was somewhat at a loss.

Its analytic speed couldn't keep up with its own destruction.

However, it soon found a new solution.

Vast cosmic energy gathered and cycled within its body, eventually turning into a...sound.

That sound wasn't like language, more like the roar of an animal. Yet within that sound, the Dominators discerned its meaning.

Death.

The Civilization Devourer declared their death.

At the next moment, even someone as strong as Richard felt a strong sense of dizziness.

A sudden intense discomfort spawned within his heart.

He felt he should not exist in this world, that he should die.

Boom!

Dozens of dimensional cells burst abruptly.

Under this will of death, Richard's cells began to head toward destruction.

"No wonder there's a need for a Spiritual Trial."

Richard murmured in his heart, then calmed himself, surrendering his body and mind to rationality.

In the next instant, Richard opened his eyes, as calm as still water.

Rationality had taken over his body and mind; the death decree that confused the soul was but a gentle breeze against the dam of rationality.

In the Void, many Dominators used their own methods to break free from the death decree, but all suffered terribly.

Half of Beelzebub's body was melted by toxins, and eight-tenths of the Eye Demon's tentacles were severed. Cracks appeared in the eyes of the Curse Demons, and the Holy Light on the bodies of the two Divine Kings grew faint.

As for the Great World Tree.

It was prepared in advance, losing only a few leaves.

However, we all know, this was merely the appetizer.

Soon, a second voice echoed.

That voice seemed to come from the endless darkness of the distant universe, causing even the Dominators to tremble under its intonation.

It said, punishment.

In the next moment, many Dominators felt as if they had fallen into the Abyss Hell.

Indescribable pain surged from their hearts, directly affecting their souls.

This pain could not be stopped by any means; they could only silently endure this intense agony.

But this pain had already surpassed the limits of biological tolerance, and many Dominators, without special soul modifications, could not withstand it.

But in this situation, a voice suddenly sounded in the ears of many Dominators.

It was Richard's voice.

Richard held the hammer, quietly watching the massive monster.

These pains had no effect on him; rationality stood like a mountain, blocking the torrent of pain.

Even the Civilization Devourer needed full concentration to employ such means.

At this moment, the Civilization Devourer was defenseless.

The hammer in his hand suddenly expanded, vast as a star. Upon this hammer, a massive force field of divine skills was continually enhancing each strike's power.

"I say, death."

Richard's voice was cold as a judge's.

In the next moment, the hammer swung down.

All was silent.
