Wizard: I Can Refine Everything

Chapter 43: You Need to Make a Deal with Me

Lar Red Shirt never imagined that one day he would encounter unforeseen disaster in the Endless Dimension.

As a Tree Shepherd of the Tree Spirit Clan, Lar Red Shirt had originally planned to explore the Endless Dimension today, hoping to discover a new dimension and obtain some new tree species.

But who knows if he was cursed or just having a bad day.

Just as he entered the Endless Dimension and hadn't even seen his surroundings clearly, he noticed a mysterious light speeding toward him.

The light was so fast that by the time he saw it, it had already struck him.

To be fair, as a red shirt of the Tree Spirit Clan, Lar considered his body to be extremely resilient.

Even within the entire Natural Federation, there weren't many World Masters of the same level who could surpass him.

But in the face of this mysterious light, Lar felt as if his body had been hit by a meteor, with no ability to resist.

Or rather, before he even had time to react, his body was already shattered.

Fortunately, this mysterious light carried nothing—it was purely a physical attack. And the Life Energy of the Tree Spirit Clan is incredibly tenacious, able to survive as long as a single branch or seed remains.

If not, Lar would have already been killed by Richard.

"Damn it! That thing is definitely nearby!"

Lar roared, sweeping his spiritual power through the surrounding void.

Before pursuing Richard, he performed a divination. However, during the divination, he used a trick; he divined Richard's blood instead of Richard himself.

After Richard had shattered Lar, he was inevitably stained with Lar's blood. In the Endless Dimension, where material energy is extremely sparse, the bloodstains wouldn't be burned away by the heat of high-speed flight.

Lar also understood that what had shattered him was most probably something extraordinary.

A direct divination would probably consume a tremendous amount of energy.

Looking at the roaring World Master before him, Richard thought that from the outside, Lar Red Shirt looked very much like a towering tree.

However, unlike ordinary trees, Lar's body had a significant degree of Flesh Transformation.

Although his bark was rough, it looked more like calluses on a finger. Underneath the bark were hard bones and tough muscles.

Lar's tree crown seemed lush, but his branches were encased in sinewy white bones, his leaves were skin filled with blood vessels, and hanging among his crown were fruit-looking like hearts.

In the center of Lar's trunk, a blood-red eye was glaring wide open.

At this moment, the eye continuously scanned the surroundings, its sharp gaze seeming to poke holes into the void.

"A tree with Flesh Transformation? Looks like something an Alchemy Wizard from the past's Flesh Faction might have created," Richard mused to himself.

"However, this guy came at just the right time."

He was worried about not having someone to bring him back to the Material World.

Truly, when in need, a pillow is sent your way.

Thinking this, Richard deliberately made a slight noise, drawing the attention of this World Master.

"Hmm!?"

Lar suddenly turned his gaze towards Richard's remains hundreds of kilometers away; in Lar's eyes, Richard's remains looked like a piece of space debris.

But just now, his spiritual power had detected a gravitational fluctuation suddenly emanating from what seemed like just a piece of space debris.

"Could it be this thing?"

Lar cautiously observed Richard's remains; a World Master from civilization, the first piece of advice when exploring the Endless Dimension is to look more and touch less.

A World Master just barely meets the threshold for entry into the Endless Dimension. Many things in the Endless Dimension—such as Illusion Creatures, Dimensional Treasures, exiled World Masters—might mean nothing to a Dominator but are deadly existences for a World Master.

Especially for someone like him, who had only recently ascended to World Master.

Faced now with something that might have shattered his body, Lar naturally became extremely vigilant.

For this, Richard had naturally prepared.

He knew too well how to disguise himself as excellent research material.

Under Lar's spiritual observation, Richard periodically released gravitational pulses, rotated, and demonstrated properties of energy and material absorption from his surroundings.

But all of these were extremely mild. At least, for a World Master, it seemed so.

Excellent research material is known for its mild nature.

"Hiss, seems like there shouldn't be any problem."

After observing nearly three days, Lar could almost confirm that this rock-like thing before him was very mild.

At least for the time being.

However, this was just the first test.

Lar used energy to touch Richard's remains, testing to see how Richard reacted to energy.

On this point, Richard naturally remained mild.

Watching Richard's calm and controlled absorption of energy, Lar's eyes suddenly brightened.

But his probing did not end there.

He pulled an animal carcass out of his pocket and brought it in front of Richard's remains.

This time, Richard didn't behave as mildly but showed a very strong carnivorous inclination.

Mildness is a virtue of research subjects, but a perfectly mild subject is either a dream or a trap.

Showing a frenzied side aids in his disguise.

"A preference for flesh? No wonder this thing charged right over,"

Seeing Richard's remains voraciously devouring flesh, Lar's heart immediately understood the reason for his attack.

He was attacked because this unknown object detected the scent of flesh and came directly for him.

And that astonishing speed…

Lar's heart quivered suddenly.

Perhaps this thing came from a Dominator?

Having determined the characteristics of Richard's remains, Lar cautiously brought the remains to his side. Richard deliberately used gravity to move toward Lar but kept the intensity minimal.

This completely relaxed Lar's vigilance.

He took out a jar from his pocket, then threw Richard's remnants into it, marking it on the jar.

[Danger Level, Third Level (Basically Harmless)]

...

Inside the jar, Richard began using his spiritual power to explore the surroundings.

He was currently thrown into a storage space similar to a Magic Pocket.

This type of space is deadly for mortals, but to Richard, this space is no different from ordinary spaces.

Under the probe of spiritual power, Richard quickly found something good.

"Oh? It turns out to be a World Tree Fruit from the Plant Dimension, and it even has the effect of restoring the soul."

In the deepest part of Lar's storage space, a World Tree Fruit was quietly floating in the space. A sealing layer was locking its energy and life energy.

If there were no external interference, this fruit could stay here for tens of thousands of years, remaining as fresh as ever.

But unfortunately, external force had arrived.

Richard manipulated gravity to gradually move the World Tree Fruit to his side, then the jar containing his body was consumed by his body.

Looking at the World Tree Fruit before him, Richard confirmed that there was no alarm set, and directly swallowed it.

In an instant, a tingly sensation rushed straight to Richard's soul.

Nourished by the World Tree Fruit, Richard's soul immediately began to recover. Within mere moments, his spiritual power reached the level of a Level 3 Creature.

But unfortunately, the main effect of this fruit is not soul restoration.

Being able to restore Richard to a Level 3 Creature signifies that Richard perfectly absorbed the effects.

If Lar were to eat this fruit, the soul restoration effect would only refresh him at best.

Subsequently, Richard returned to the jar and used his creation ability to re-seal it.

If not seen with one's own eyes, no one would believe that something in the jar, seemingly like a meteorite fragment, could silently consume the World Tree Fruit in the storage space.

In the Endless Dimension, Lar, who was about to explore, suddenly felt a pang in his heart.

A bad premonition surged within him all of a sudden.

"Could I be about to have bad luck again?"

Lar shuddered violently in his heart.

Although the Tree Spirit is tough, in the Endless Dimension, there are countless things that could kill him.

"Forget it, I should go back and study that thing first."

Thinking of this, the Power of Dimension surged within Lar, and he immediately opened a rift returning to the Star Realm in the void.

...

On the vast plains, dense Forest Sea swayed with the wind.

Magic Beasts shuttled between the woods, flocks of birds flew in the sky, everything looking like the most primitive world, with no sign of civilization.

And such a scene is not isolated; from the plains to the mountains, from the rainforest to the plateau, there is no sign of intelligent species in this world.

In the Star Realm, where almost every world has intelligent creatures, such a situation is simply bewildering.

Suddenly, a Dimension Rift opened in the sky.

Immediately following, a gigantic Flesh Tree fell through it.

In the vast Endless Dimension, Lar's size was not obvious, but upon returning to the Star Realm, his over-five-hundred-meter tall frame instantly became a gigantic entity.

"Home still feels more comfortable."

Lar descended from the sky, landing in the center of the world. There, a mighty and vigorous World Tree stood towering, its petrified bark proclaiming the ages it had endured.

Coming beside the World Tree, Lar reduced his size, transforming into a small tree merely over ten meters tall.

Subsequently, the World Tree opened a passage.

Lar entered it, and suddenly a gentle music started playing beside him. The leaves on his body gently shook, as if they were dancing to the music.

Passing through the channel, Lar arrived at a place resembling a laboratory.

Here, a great number of machines, clearly products of civilization, were arrayed.

Lar retrieved the bottle containing Richard from within his body, the red eyes on his trunk showing a hint of greed.

"Hehehe, let me see what you really are."

Saying this, a Flesh Tentacle extended from Lar, extracting Richard's remnants from the bottle.

And this was an opportunity.

At the moment when the Flesh Tentacle touched Richard's remnants, a virus silently infiltrated Lar's tentacle, rapidly spreading along with his fluid circulation and energy cycle.

After devouring the World Tree Fruit, Richard was no longer so weak, and he had a few more means at his disposal.

Although he's not a virus expert like Beelzebub, he has researched virus creation for the sake of his evolution.

These viruses aren't Beelzebub's Life Virus, but the flesh and blood of the red shirt before him aren't Dominators either.

In the face of Richard's virus, Lar's immune system was no different than a mere decoration. Within just a breath, the virus had spread throughout Lar's entire body.

Then, it erupted.

"Hmm? Why do I feel a bit dizzy?"

Lar looked at the sight of eight Richards' remnants with some confusion, a thread of doubt flashing through his mind.

But soon, he was suddenly shocked.

Something isn't right!

But it was too late now.

Lar could feel his body decaying and rotting, even his soul was crumbling together.

What exactly happened?

The next moment, a message solved his doubts.

"World Master of an alien civilization, you need to make a transaction with me."
