Another two days passed as we waited in silence inside the ship, watching, listening, and waiting for the mirror to finish forming and for the Ferans to finally arrive.
Everyone had their own way of passing the time.
North and Ragnar stayed deep in meditation, their auras flickering faintly through the cabin walls. Lyrate spent most of her hours helping Steve complete his quest, and after countless hours, he finally succeeded. Now, even he was just waiting, waiting for the artifact to finish taking shape before ranking up to Grandmaster.
As for me, I sat in my cabin, staring at my status panel. I had done nothing for the last two days except grind my laws and pour Essence into my attributes. My numbers had climbed higher than ever.
First, I opened my talent panel to check the changes after my Essence Generator leveled up.

-------------------------------------------
At last, a new ability appeared—Essence Infusion.
I hadn't been expecting it; it had been a long time since I last gained a new one. But thinking back to the experiment I'd done with Steve, it made sense. I must have nudged the core in that direction without realizing it.
A 25% boost as a starting point wasn't bad at all.
Satisfied, I opened my status panel to review the progress I'd made so far.

I had pushed all my laws up to Major Law, level 2. Absolute, my fusion of multiple laws, was still lingering in the Minor Law boundary. I had been holding off on upgrading it because I knew the moment it evolved, it would ripple through my domain and I wanted to be ready for that.
My blueprint for the domain was already finalized. Beyond that, I had pushed all my attributes up to 4500, except for Psynapse, which I wanted to leave untouched for now.
My skills were another matter. I was spending time refining them, testing how they interacted with my newly upgraded laws. Once I felt they were in perfect harmony, I planned to reshape them completely.
I exhaled and stood up. But before I could take a single step toward the door to meet North, Dante's voice echoed in my head.
'Kid, they're here.'
My eyes widened. Without wasting a second, I rushed out. The door slid open, and in the next instant, I flashed across the corridor, appearing beside the old man.
We stood together in the control room, the soft hum of the ship's systems surrounding us. Through the wide glass window ahead, the void shimmered and there it was. The Ferans' colossal ship drifted into view, a massive silhouette cutting through the darkness, surrounded by streams of blue lights and green essence.
"Can they see us?" I asked quietly.
" Not through their ship's sensors," Dante replied, his eyes never leaving the display. "I'm using my space laws to layer us out of phase with normal detection, along with the camouflage field. But if Vaelix himself scans the area…" He paused, his voice heavy. "Then yes, he'll find us instantly."
I nodded, my gaze locked on the approaching vessel. Its sheer presence warped the space around it.
The ship was enormous, at least ten times the size of ours with a crimson insignia carved across its hull: two claw marks slashed in the shape of an X.
It slowed to a stop, hovering at a cautious distance from the half-formed golden-blue mirror. The red lightning around the structure crackled in agitation, reflecting off the Feran vessel's armor like veins of fire.
Then, three figures emerged from its hold. They floated effortlessly into the void, their massive forms surrounded by faint traces of Essence.
"The beast at the center is Vaelix," Dante muttered beside me.
I leaned forward slightly, studying the Ferans. At the front was the one he had named—Vaelix. He wore deep red robes that fit his body perfectly, his tiger-like head crowned with sharp black fur, and his body broad and muscular. Yet, what stood out most was the absence of aura around him. No killing intent, no energy leak, nothing. It was as if he did not exist.
Vaelix lifted a clawed hand and aimed it toward the mirror. A wave of force rippled out from his palm and struck the golden surface, distorting the lightning for a brief second before fading.
Nothing happened.
He tried again—another ripple, stronger this time. It slammed into the mirror, shaking the space around it. Still, there was no reaction.
The mirror remained completely silent.
Vaelix lowered his hand, stared at the mirror for a few seconds longer, then turned and drifted back toward his ship without a word. The other two Ferans followed close behind him, vanishing into the vessel.
"What did he just do?" I asked, still watching the ship.
"Not sure," Dante replied, his tone cautious. "Could've been a probe… or maybe he already knows what that artifact is. Either way, we'll wait and see. If the ship moves, we'll decide our next step."
We waited in silence.
Minutes passed, but the Feran vessel didn't move. It stayed there, anchored in space like a predator crouching in the dark.
