Omar looked at him, his face dark and bewildered, then said in a troubled tone, "What happened?"

The old man continued, "The sky rained down with force, the springs of water burst forth, and the earth began to flood. We had to protect Atlantis, so we started to build a dome to protect it from the flood. But the time came before we could finish it. So we sat, waiting for our inevitable fate with the unjust nations. We were not afraid of death, because it would come inevitably. But all we wanted was to discover more and to achieve more great sciences and discoveries. That is why we wanted to survive a little longer. And as the water advanced and rushed from afar toward Atlantis, we saw a luminous and beautiful thing descending upon us from the sky. Our ancestors did not describe its shape because of its beauty and strangeness, but they said that they thought it was an angel who came to save them. But she told them that she was not an angel, but a being like them who came from a distant planet, who came to save them and to transport them to a new world, to a place where they could get away from the evil of their own kind. From the descriptions of the ancients, we concluded that she was somewhat huge, as she covered the sky above them and shone with a breathtaking light that made you feel happy and comfortable to look at. They knew she was a female from her voice and her form."

"She asked them to take care of it and to defend it to the last breath if anyone came trying to take it. She explained to the ancients how to use it and to benefit from its power and told them that when the time comes, the crystal will guide them to change the fate of the universe and that the age of utter darkness was approaching and that they had to play a major role in repelling the evil that would cast a shadow over all the civilizations of space, leading them to ignorance, destruction, and countless devastation. Then she returned to space again, and particles of light fell from her. The ancients could not describe her shape, because she was so huge that they could not make out her form well. They said that she covered the sky of the planet with her radiant, shining body. So we changed our name to the Astral, which is a derivation of her name."

Omar was lost in thought about what he had said, and a flood of emotions was playing with him from the inside. The old man was silent, and he seemed happy to hear that they had survived, then disappointed when he learned that they had returned to their heinous acts. He said with great frustration, "It seems that CITRA's choice to move us to this planet was the right one."
