It's been a while since I last enjoyed Burton's culinary masterpiece, and it's still so memorable. However, you can feel that Kreya is rapidly closing the gap between them.
After the meal, Danfoss prepared a room suitable for each person's size, and there was even a room specifically customized for Little Fairy.
Once everyone was settled, Danfoss left the house.
According to Burton, although his mother seems leisurely, she is a member of the Elder Council of Furnace Castle. With the Beer Festival approaching, she has become a bit busier.
However, his mother's departure made everyone in the room a bit livelier; after all, with an elder present, they couldn't chat freely. Of course, Longbei was an exception; he always seemed carefree and didn't care about such things.
"How long has it been since we parted, and you've all reached the Silver level? Really, some jealous-worthy talent you have. And my silly little brother seems to have caught a great ride as well."
Burton glanced in the direction of Lilylula flitting around the room and continued, "And you found an incredible mage teammate."
Listening to Burton's words, Kane chuckled and replied, "Of course, you know our goal is urgent; we need to grow quickly."
Hearing Kane's words, Burton was somewhat speechless. Even though he knew they needed to reach the gold level within three to five years, it's not supposed to be this fast. At the current speed, they might reach gold before the World Ring even opens.
"By the way, after reaching Silver level, have you joined any battle group or guild?" Burton asked.
Listening to Burton's question, Kane rubbed his chin and answered, "There have been some invitations, but I've rejected them all."
Burton felt a bit puzzled by Kane's response.
"Come on, brother, with our strength, can't you see what Kane is thinking?"
Upon hearing his brother's remark, Burton couldn't help but slap his forehead. Indeed, with Kane and their talent and strength, why would they rely on others?
"I was thinking too much, hahaha."
They continued to chat casually about their recent experiences. Burton was very curious about how Kane had reached Silver level so quickly.
He wanted to know which dungeons they had explored. Especially, upon learning that Kane and his group had cooperated to defeat a dying gold-level demon, he couldn't help but be shocked. As a gold-level powerhouse himself, he knew how incredible their achievement was, even if the demon was in a dying state.
"By the way, you're not just here for the Beer Festival, right? You must be here to clear the nearby Eternal Victory Battlefield. I remember you mentioning it before, saying you'd long set your eyes on it. Are you planning to conquer it this time?"
Upon hearing Burton's words, Kane recalled that he had indeed chatted about this dungeon before, because of Kreya's Lion Pride Set. One of the cloak components was located in this dungeon.
Back then, after briefly learning that this dungeon was Silver level, Kane dismissed it.
Now after reaching Silver level, the set basically became something Kreya could switch to anytime to give the team buffs.
Rarely using it in direct combat, Kane forgot about it. Unexpectedly, this dungeon is near Furnace Castle, which could be considered a kind of fate.
Feeling certain that Kane and his group were here for this dungeon, Burton said, "You'll have some fun with this one. The dungeon has been around for a few years, and its unique mechanism makes it a target for many Silver Explorers. People say the dungeon seems to persist."
With Burton's words, Kane's interest was piqued and he couldn't help but ask, "Unique mechanism? What kind of unique mechanism?"
Kane's question left Burton a bit puzzled.
"You've decided to clear this dungeon yet haven't gathered its information? So careless."
What could he do? He couldn't possibly say they're here to explore a yet-to-appear hidden clinic.
"What's the rush? We're here first to experience the Beer Festival, a grand Dwarven celebration."
"Makes sense; given the festival, the number of dungeon explorers is indeed reduced. After all, it's a rare event and just happens to be so close."
"The unique mechanism is that this dungeon has no separate spaces. All explorers entering the dungeon are in the same space."
This mechanism caught Kane's interest greatly; all explorers in the same space sounded quite interesting.
Apparently, these aren't the only special mechanisms. Burton continued, "The dungeon operates cyclically. It opens after gathering a certain number of explorers, then restarting when these explorers complete the conditions. Do you know why this dungeon is so popular?"
"Why?" Everyone gathered around in curiosity, intrigued by Burton's dangling of intrigue.
Feeling satisfied with their eagerness, Burton tapped his lips and continued, "This dungeon doesn't result in true death upon defeat; instead, you are disqualified and exited."
"A dungeon where death doesn't mean death? Is this World Fragment unusually kind?" Kane exclaimed.
Most World Fragments inherently loathe Mist, wishing all explorers to perish.
Yet here is a dungeon where dying only means losing qualification and being safely transported out.
"It's not as simple as you imagine." Burton poured a metaphorical cold water over the group.
"Usually, about 200 explorers enter each time. But do you know how many successfully clear the dungeon?"
"How many?"
"Ten."
So few, only a 5% success rate for each person.
"And there are no monsters in the dungeon; your enemies are other explorers, fighting and surviving, with the final ten being victorious."
Upon hearing this, Kreya immediately pointed out, "With such a low success rate and so many explorers vying for entrance, there must be substantial rewards attracting them, right?"
Indeed, with only ten victorious, internal conflict and tension easily arise within teams—especially since not every team possesses the bond Kane and his have.
Many others join in pursuit of benefits.
