Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 146 Military Front Meeting (2nd update!!!)

PS. Many readers complain that this book progresses slowly and lacks additional chapters. I can only hope everyone understands. I have many things going on, and Warhammer is very difficult to write. I constantly need to research and ponder my writing, so I definitely can't speed up.

PS2. Fortunately, I have nothing going on tonight, so I will strive to write another chapter. I hope everyone supports and subscribes to this novel. Writing is not easy.

PS3. Since there's an additional chapter, perhaps there's something, you know, that thing (hint), hehe.

Late August, Brittania, Valerim Camp, Central Army Tent.

All the representatives of the ten duchies were seated, with the heraldry of their respective Duke Families behind them. Except for the Duke of Borelion, who was engaged in war with Estalia, and the Duke of Paragon, who did not respond to the summons, all other dukes had sent their armies.

In late August, the weather in Brittania was gradually cooling off, no longer as hot. The gathered nobles were all waiting for Marquis Angxi to give commands. Marquis Connelly-Ascot was seated in the place of Winford Duchy. In name, he was the commander of this army, but in practice, the command was handed to Laine.

"Ladies and gentlemen, in the name of the Lady and the King, we gather here to partake in this year's Knightly War. Let us drink to this!" Marquis Angxi, fully armored, raised his goblet.

"In the name of the Lady and the King!" Everyone raised their goblets and drank it all.

"For the Lady! For His Majesty Richard! For Brittania!" shouted Marquis Angxi.

"For the Lady, for His Majesty Richard, for Brittania."

Then, a Kingdom Knight stepped forward: "Please welcome Marquis Angxi Desmond of Glasgow to present this Knightly War's battle plan. Everyone, let's welcome him!"

A round of applause erupted within the tent. To everyone, Marquis Angxi, with his noble lineage and some reputation, reportedly excelled in tactical simulations at the Knight Academy. Naturally, everyone wanted to give him face, making the atmosphere quite lively.

Laine also joined in the applause. He didn't know Marquis Angxi very well yet, so he wanted to show some courtesy.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Beastman Tribe in Arden Forest has been a scourge for many years. For centuries, we have fought these children of Chaos, enemies of the Lady. We have lost countless knights here, with martyrs buried within the forest, only managing to curb the beasts' invasions. Despite this, many villages still face attacks from the Beastmen every year."

The young Marquis spoke with passion, earning approving nods from most. However, Gabriel de Bastogne, leading the Bastogne Duchy's force, frowned. He was the third son of Duke Bohemond, the "Beast Butcher" of Bastogne.

He didn't quite like Marquis Angxi's speech.

The Duchy of Bastogne was the title of the First Knight King Arthur before he became the Knight King and was his birthplace. The Bastogne Family was a direct lineage of Arthur, maintaining this legacy for centuries. Their land included the most territory of Arden Forest, and they were always troubled by the Beastman Tribe.

One could tell just from the nickname how many Beastmen Duke Bohemond had slain to earn the title "Beast Butcher." Over the past few decades, the wars to purge the Beastmen had their wins and losses, but every time the Beastmen became rampant, Duke Bohemond would mount his horse, raise his Cavalry Lance, and lead the duchy's knights to drive the Beastmen back into the forest. Yet, these achievements were overlooked in Marquis Angxi's speech, making him somewhat displeased.

Having received a good education from a young age, Gabriel learned to be patient. He was already in his thirties and no longer in an age of impulsive passion.

Marquis Angxi continued his speech: "But the old days are over. We are ushering in the dawn! His Majesty the King has decided to launch a new Knightly War to completely eliminate the Beastman threat in Arden Forest!"

"Here is my plan." The Marquis began to explain his strategy.

This time, the Knightly Army would be divided into three battalions.

The Left Army, led by Count Adelaide of the Leonais Duchy, consisted of troops from three duchies. They would reach Yulsen Castle and then proceed along the left side of Arden Forest, covering a distance of about 180 kilometers to reach the Beastman camp at Ten Thousand Demon Rock.

The Central Army, led personally by Marquis Angxi of the Le Anglong Duchy, was composed of troops from five duchies. They would also reach Yulsen Castle and then advance through the middle of Arden Forest, covering about 160 kilometers to reach Ten Thousand Demon Rock.

Lastly, the Right Army, with command handed over to Marquis Connelly-Ascot, consisted of troops from the Winford Duchy and the Bastogne Duchy. They would not follow the central forces to Yulsen Castle but would depart directly from Valerim Camp. They were to cross approximately 210 kilometers to reach the site of Ten Thousand Demon Rock. Therefore, Marquis Angxi emphasized that this army was "a feint" to "coordinate with the frontal battlefield," without assigning too many tasks. Marquis Angxi hoped this army could tie down sufficient Beastman Tribe forces.
