Jack's eyes flared red every time he struck the demons.
The euphoria that washed over him was intoxicating.
'Man, this feeling is something else. Is this what sex feels like? I don't ever want to let go.'
A devilish smile appeared on Jack's face.
He yanked the spear free and spun, using the demon's collapsing body as a shield against a Fire Blast from another attacker.
The flames washed over the corpse harmlessly before Jack vaulted over it, his agility carrying him three meters through the air in a perfect arc.
He landed behind two fire demons who had been preparing a coordinated assault, their backs exposed and vulnerable. His spear lashed out twice, each strike guided by harsh lessons Sera drilled into him.

Both demons whirled, their expressions shifting from confidence to shock as they realized how much damage that single exchange had inflicted.
They tried to counterattack, claws raking toward Jack's face and torso, but he was already on the move.
To them,he looked like a bolt of lightning that popped up only when it wanted to strike.
The demons' attacks hit empty air, their momentum carrying them forward into positions where they became easy targets.
Jack's spear sang through the space between them, the blade moving so fast it left trails of blue lightning in its wake.
He struck the first demon across the hamstring, crippling its mobility, then reversed his grip and drove the spear's butt into the second demon's knee with enough force to shatter the joint.
Both creatures dropped to the ground, their screams echoing off the ice walls.
"What the hell is this human?!" one of the ice demons shrieked, backing away from Jack's advancing form.
"He moves like a damn lightning bolt!"
"Stop whining and kill him!" another demon roared, hurling an Ice Spear at Jack's chest with enough force to punch through steel.
Jack's perception tracked the projectile's trajectory with perfect clarity.
Instead of dodging, he angled his Lightning Spear and struck the ice construct mid-flight.
The collision shattered the frozen weapon into a thousand glittering fragments while barely slowing Jack's forward momentum.
He closed the distance to the demon who had thrown the spear, his weapon already moving in a rising thrust that caught the creature under its ribcage. The Lightning Spear emerged from the demon's back, electricity arcing across its crystalline form and turning its insides to steaming ruin.
[-1,067 HP]
Jack kicked the dying demon off his spear and immediately threw a handful of sand he'd scooped up during his last vault.
[Demonic Essence +2]
The granules caught three approaching fire demons directly in their eyes, blinding them for the crucial second Jack needed to activate Arc Blast.
Blue lightning erupted from his extended hand in a sustained stream of crackling fury. The technique could be maintained as long as he had mana, and at 1,967 damage per second, it was devastating against blinded targets.
The demons screamed as electricity coursed through their bodies, their flame auras doing nothing to protect them from the superior element.
Jack swept the Arc Blast across all three targets, watching their health pools evaporate under the sustained assault.

Three seconds of sustained fire was enough. The demons collapsed in smoking heaps, their bodies twitching from electrical nerve damage even after death claimed them.
[Crimson Recovery activated]
[Healing 6% HP per second for 4 seconds]
[Restoring 12% Mana per second for 4 seconds]
Jack felt the ring's enchantment activate, restoring health and mana he'd barely expended.
The loop was intoxicating, every kill made him stronger, faster, more capable of delivering the next kill.
He was becoming a monster that lived for the hunt.
The remaining demons began backing away, their confidence thoroughly shattered by watching half their number die in less than a minute.
These weren't warriors, they were bullies who had never faced genuine resistance.
"You're a pathetic waste of demons," Jack said, his voice carrying contempt that made several demons flinch.
"Is this the best Permafrost could send? No wonder Cho died if this is the quality of your forces."
That struck a nerve. Several fire demons roared in outrage, their pride overriding their survival instincts.
"You dare insult our brother?!"
"We'll burn you to ash, human scum!"
"Lord Permafrost will feast on your bones!"
Jack's smile widened. 'They're so predictable.'
Suddenly multiple demons started to have red veins shoot out of their body.
[DING!!]
[10 demons have entered an enraged state!]
Ten fire demons gathered together, their coordination suggesting this was a practiced technique.
Flames gathered in their hands, condensing into spheres of concentrated hellfire that radiated killing intent.
"Fireball!"
Ten separate projectiles launched simultaneously, each one growing as it flew until they merged into a single massive sphere of apocalyptic fire.
The combined attack was easily six meters in diameter, hot enough to vaporize steel, and moving with the speed of a stone launched from a catapult.
This attack could probably kill Jack instantly.
But Jack had been waiting for exactly this kind of attack. His perception, sharpened by increased agility of Thunder Mantle's effects, could see the fireball's trajectory with perfect clarity.
More importantly, he could see the exact moment when Arc Reversal's reflection window would open.
He raised his Lightning Spear, angling it like a mirror to catch the incoming projectile.
His timing had to be perfect, the window was only 0.1 seconds, and missing it would mean eating the full damage of ten concentrated Fireballs.
The massive sphere of hellfire crossed the distance in heartbeats. Jack's world narrowed to a single point of focus.
The instant when Arc Reversal could activate.
The fireball touched his spear's blade.
"Arc Reversal!"
Reality twisted. The fireball's momentum reversed instantly, its trajectory flipping 180 degrees as the spell's reflection effect took hold.
But Arc Reversal didn't just send attacks back, it doubled their damage and added Jack's magic stat multiplied by 1.5 as bonus lightning damage.
Each fireball had dealt 300 damage.
Ten fireballs meant 3,000 base damage.
Doubled, that became 6,000.
Then Jack's magic stat of 175, multiplied by 1.5 added just a little bit of damage.
But that wasn't the best part.
The trick was that it added lightning to their fireball.
Adding any lightning magic would trigger his items or skills and increase the damage. Higher base damage meant more damage overall.
The reflected attack wasn't a fireball anymore. It was a meteor made of blue lightning and hellfire, moving at twice its original speed and carrying enough energy to level a building.
The ten fire demons who had launched the attack saw their doom approaching and tried to scatter, but they had packed too tightly for their combined assault.
The reflected fireball-lightning hybrid caught all of them in its blast radius.
The explosion was beautiful and terrible in equal measure.
Blue lightning and red flames merged into purple destruction that filled half the ice dome.
The concussive force shattered nearby ice walls, sending crystalline shards flying like shrapnel.
The fire demons at the center of the blast simply ceased to exist, their bodies vaporized by concentrated magic.
[-17,587 HP]
The attack dealt more than double any demon's maximum health pool. Even if they had been at full health, which they weren't after Jack's previous attacks, nothing could have survived that level of destruction.
The ice dome shattered completely, unable to withstand the violent temperature and pressure changes.
Walls that had been meant to trap Jack exploded outward in a rain of crystalline fragments that glittered in the crimson sky like falling stars.
When the light faded and the smoke cleared, Jack stood alone in a crater of scorched stone and melted ice.
Bodies lay scattered around him, some whole, some in pieces, all bearing the marks of lightning and steel.

Outside the shattered dome, Permafrost stood frozen in shock.
The Nightmare-class demon's crystalline face showed an emotion Jack hadn't expected to see, genuine fear.
"Impossible," Permafrost whispered, his voice carrying across the battlefield. "Thirty-three demons... in under three minutes... by one human..."
Jack stepped out of the crater, his Lightning Spear still crackling with residual energy.
His armor was scorched and torn in places, but the Crimson Recovery ring had already restored his health to full.
Jack rubbed the blood on his hands through his hair. His perfect white hair was stained with blood. His hair was pulled back, it looked almost slick from the blood in his hair.
[Demonic Essence: 10]
His eyes glowed bright red, as he smiled wide.
Through all the adrenaline, the system assaulted his vision.
[DING!!]
He pointed his spear at Permafrost, blue lightning dancing along its length.
"You're Next."
