Lu Yan nodded slightly, his gaze sweeping over the three mother and children immersed in their beautiful dreams, their faces finally relaxed, before landing on Anna, a hint of imperceptible approval in his tone: "Well done."
The simple four words made Anna's Soul Body seem to brighten a bit. She tried hard to control her excitement, waiting for His Majesty's instructions.
Lu Yan's gaze once again glanced at the sleeping middle-aged woman in the room, his eyes calm as he asked:
"I remember you should be spreading the truth in the industrial area, uniting the grassroots workers. Why are you here?"
Upon hearing Lu Yan's inquiry, Anna's originally joyful little face was instantly covered with a layer of gloom, and a clear flame of anger even ignited in her deep eyes, causing the white light around her to seem somewhat unstable.
"Your Majesty!"
She explained with resentment: "I've been following your instructions recently, helping those poor workers in the industrial area to weave dreams so they can feel a bit comforted during their brief sleep.
But... but I found that not all workers are kind. Not all who suffer are worthy of sympathy."
"Especially some strong workers with some experience in the factory, they not only lack sympathy for the weaker ones, but actually use their little insignificant power to oppress those who are weaker and more incapable of resistance than themselves.
Aunt Toli... she was the target of bullying by those workers!"
"They colluded with a foreman in the factory, using despicable means to deprive Aunt Toli of her official daytime worker position, leaving her without a stable source of income.
Not only that, they forced Aunt Toli to only be able to work at night as a temporary worker doing what others were unwilling to do, making her do the hardest work while also enduring their filthy desires and harassment."
At this point, Anna's Soul Body violently fluctuated, obviously recalling the unbearable memory fragments she had glimpsed from the perpetrators' dreams.
"After seeing those related memories, I really couldn't stand it, so I wove a terrifying nightmare to fiercely scare those bastard workers.
Then, following the memory clues left in their dreams, I found the almost collapsing Aunt Toli and her children. I wanted to do something for them, at least let them have a good night's sleep."
Lu Yan listened quietly, his gaze once again resting on the face of the middle-aged woman immersed in her dream, temporarily forgetting the real-world suffering.
After a moment, he finally spoke softly:
"This matter, you can inform Sain.
With his current position in the Union and the power he holds, he can punish those workers and seek justice for this Aunt Toli."
However, Anna only shook her head sadly, the light emitted from her Soul Body dimming a bit.
"Your Majesty, I know Sain is very capable now and can handle many things.
But encounters like Aunt Toli's happen too often in the slums, in those factories.
Bullying, exploitation, humiliation... occur almost every day."
Her voice was full of helplessness.
"Because no lives were really lost, and no severe damage caused, Brother Sain can't just handle a lot of workers for these things."
"My nightmares can occasionally deter some malevolent workers, making them feel fear in their sleep and temporarily restrain themselves.
But as time passes, when they realize it's just a dream, and no real punishment will come in reality, they will return to their old ways, sometimes even more viciously."
Anna's voice grew increasingly low, filled with deep frustration:
"In this era of chaotic order, the law for the poor is almost non-existent.
And morality, in the face of survival pressure and human greed, has long lost its binding power."
Reaching this point, Anna's face, or rather the emotions revealed by her soul, was full of profound helplessness.
She had gained Extraordinary Power, yet found herself still so limited in what she could do.
Lu Yan silently watched her, seeing this individual who, in such a short time, had grown from an ignorant victim to someone with her own judgment of good and evil, attempting to maintain order with her limited strength.
Her anger, her helplessness, her compassion, all were clearly presented in Lu Yan's perception.
"You're right."
Lu Yan finally spoke, his voice calm but carrying a decisive force, "Since secular morals and laws can no longer restrain the evil in people's hearts, then use Extraordinary Power to redefine boundaries for them, to warn and punish them."
As he finished speaking, Lu Yan slowly raised his right hand, palm up as if holding something imaginary.
A miniature version of Fengdu City seemed to transform into an illusory seal, falling into Lu Yan's palm.
"Anna." Lu Yan's gaze fell on the girl, carrying an unprecedented solemnity.
"Your experiences, your choices, have already proven yourself to me. As a wandering soul, you've woven dreams, spread the belief in peace, attempted to help those in need, and also punished those you deemed evil.
You have gained your own clear sense of good and evil."
"A soul without a physical body, free from mundane desires' veil, can see the true appearance of the world more clearly, and better perceive the goodness and evil deep within human hearts."
"And now, I will bestow you with even stronger Extraordinary Power.
Enabling you no longer to be merely a bystander, a wandering soul who can only exert a faint influence in dreams, but to become a guardian of order."
As he spoke, a point of pure Extraordinary spirituality flew out from within the illusory seal in his palm like a shooting star, accurately embedding into Anna's forehead.
"The Underworld Path, [Sequence Eight], its name is..."
Lu Yan's voice roared like thunder in the depths of Anna's soul:
"Soul Detainer!"
