As expected, most of the stuff that had come was indeed the same, Elizabeth still listened, and save a few of the more ingenious contracts to the side, she wouldn't accept any of course.
"And that's that," Elizabeth said, snapping her fingers and teleporting the people that was hovering near the stairs and near their table back to their spot in the lower tables. "I heard enough, most of you seem to be the key to our legal marriage... And all of you promise me that will help me achieve it, some are obviously more capable of achieving it than others..."
Elizabeth said pointing to the leaders of state.
"First, a few things that I need to clarify." Elizabeth said standing up, her black dress flowing behind her as she walked forward and a platform of shadows materialized under her feet to raise her a few centimeters higher, so all could see her clearly. "First, I do not care about laws, as they say. Laws are designed to hold down those weaker than you, and if you aren't stronger than me... why would I listen to your rules?"
A couple of people couldn't help but open their mouths as if to complain, but after a few seconds and perhaps a few nudges by the people near them, the ones who had attempted to say anything shut their mouths.
"Secondly... One of you got a quick on you," Elizabeth said, showing the folder with the emblem of Veritalis, "The Italians admitted to their mistakes and have given me the equivalent of a religious marriage... Not that I need one since Papa blessed the wedding already."
A few of the people laughed at the joke, it was not a joke.
"And third, I didn't need any of this, any of the offers, the only one that paid attention and did her homework was the Queen from Britannia." Elizabeth said, pointing at the woman who looked like the cat who ate the canary, "Care to tell the people how ridiculous they are?"
"You would give me that boon?" The Queen said standing up without missing a beat, "Thank you for this honor."
And smirking the Queen moved forward, "My gift to this wedding was quite simple, and probably the only one who was accepted." She said, but Elizabeth hadn't gotten anything from her... had she?
"Did we get anything?" Elizabeth said to Rossie and Rena in a small voice, all the while the Queen gloated at the other world leaders.
"Not that I know," Rossie answered first.
"Not that I am aware." Rena also answered as such.
"And that is how I found out," The Queen finished her speech, "And did what one does with this kind of juicy secrets... I blocked the information from spreading."
"YOU KNEW AND TOLD US NOTHING?!?!?" The Mayor of the American Federation stood up with a face filled with rage as he pointed at Elizabeth, "THAT WAS OUR ONLY WAY TO CONTROL HER! DO YOU WANT A REPEAT OF [The American Crusader]?!?!?!?"
Another repeat?
"That will not happen." Elizabeth was the one to speak first, "Unlike Papa I have no attachment to Zaanam, I care not for the politics and I only want to protect those I love. I do not need this planet to achieve that."
That seemed to surprise everyone... not.
"So you are one of those?" [Shadowpact] finally spoke, "You are just ditching us after achieving what you wanted? Stripped us of our things and then left."
"I owe you nothing," Elizabeth snapped at him, "More so to you, none of you helped me. When I awoke my powers more than half of you would have killed me on the spot if you knew the degree of power I would have, and the only reason you didn't was because who my parents were."
Elizabeth was more convinced of that than ever, after seeing them how they acted today.
"I invited all of you to showcase that everything was done," Elizabeth stated, "I care not about you, what you do and what you want."
One by one magic circles manifested under the people in there, a few tried to fight against the effect to no effect. "If a magic circle manifested under your feet, you are done for the night. If you manage to fight it off then you may remain longer, if not... I will not be seeing you again." And with the snap of her fingers, almost all the people in the Cathedral disappeared.
From within the reception/dancing hall to the kitchen, even the people that had hidden themselves, only the people outside of the territory of the Cathedral was spared, but as soon as they took a step within they would be teleported away.
Aura and Sana would make sure of that.
"As for you..." Elizabeth addressed the remaining people, the world leaders, and the normal humans that remained, "You will be made aware of a few things."
"Come on darling, we are almost friends at this point. I helped you humiliate all those stuck-up people, didn't I?" The Queen of Britannia said with a wide smirk on her face, "Can't say I didn't enjoy the spectacle."
"You knew there was nothing to be earned, and only knew because your public servants seem to be useful compared to those of other places." Elizabeth pointed out, "But that isn't why I allowed you to remain."
The actual reason was because Elizabeth didn't want to repeat the information all around.
"To confirm a few things," Elizabeth pointed to the copy of her marriage certificate, "We are already married under the Camelot civil registry."
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
The American Federation Mayor looked like he had eaten a very sour bug.
"We are also approved by the Italians, which means all the religious organizations within Zaanam already recognize our union." Elizabeth said pulling the document [The Prophet] gave her, that wasn't part of her original deal, but it was one part she would enjoy greatly. "And more importantly."
Elizabeth leveled her gaze to everyone who remained, "You can't stop us." And merely stated that as a fact, "The closer one to power against us was Echidna, who, as you have seen before, is not an opponent to me."
Or wasn't, now that Elizabeth wasn't as closely tied to Shadows as before, as she was no longer only the [Shadow Weaver], perhaps it could be a more even match, but Elizabeth dwarfed the older woman in mana and quality, so she was confident in being able to remain at the top.
Not that they needed to hear.
"Afterwards it would be Jenna... but she is on my side." Elizabeth said pointing to Jenna who stood very calmly behind Papa, as if she was a maidservant.
"Yes," Jenna nodded, "If you plan anything funny against my babysister then you will have to fight me too."
Not that she was an actual sister, or babysister to Jenna, but Elizabeth accepted the words for what they were, a sign that they were close.
"Then next on the line would be [The Beast Master]?" Elizabeth said, turning to Izanami's leadership, [The Elementalist], "Will you be an issue?"
"Not really." Oda Ryuuji said shaking his head, "We have a hard time as it is, and while Joseph can keep the dangers from out this plane at bay... We don't need more problems from within."
Then, as if it was the most normal thing, the man stood, "We wanted an amicable relationship, and we would truly move toward you feeling like Izanami was your home. But if the sentiment is not shared we can't force your hand." Then the man raised his hand and snapped his fingers; Elizabeth felt the mana from the man latch onto the spatial tethers that Aura and Sana had left all over the place to feed the teleportation arrays.
And as if it was meant to be, the tethers latched into place opening a pathway for Oda Ryuuji, "I will be leaving first Joseph, you may remain for as how long you wish." And the man teleported away.
He shouldn't have been able to do that.
Elizabeth had become too complacent it seemed.
"..." [The Beast Master] looked at the spot where his boss had left, then turned to Papa and then to Elizabeth, "I will return to do my job. If you wish to bear your fangs against me you can come find me, but I will not willingly overstep the boundaries."
And then, Elizabeth saw it, the arm of the man turned into the form of a demonic/dragonic claw, Joseph Von Cavendish slashed at the air opening a fissure in space, within Elizabeth saw a maelstrom of flesh, monsters and creatures.
The man walked inside as if nothing and the wound in space quickly mended itself.
"Mistress!" Not before Sana teleported in a rush and started throwing magic spells at it of course, "What the hell is that? WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!?!?"
"Calm down Sana," Aura teleported a second later, "It is an unstable rift into one of our neighborhood planes, someone was feeling cheeky, but the dimensional wall will repair itself, you only need to sweep it towards the disposal zone."
And there, Aura started using a spell that seemed to accelerate the mending of space.
From what Elizabeth could perceive with her own mastery over the space around, what the [Maiden of Space] was doing was merely shifting the opening from here to another place within Zaanam, and if Elizabeth was to guess, she was probably sending it back to Izanami.
For [The Beast Master] to deal with. Honestly, Elizabeth could respect that, she would have done the same.
"That means there are no one else who can become an issue to us anymore." Elizabeth said turning to the people remaining around. "[The Traveler], [The Tinkerer] and [The Sniper] are already on my side after all."
Elizabeth pointed to one of the tables on the upper parts, the place where Amelia and Lily had returned after Mother teleported everyone down here. [The Traveler] had snuck with them at some point, the man didn't deserve the spot there, but Elizabeth would let him be for now. Since if this became a fight it would be annoying to have to deal with him running around and trying to not kill him or hurt him by accident.
Not that he would die, since he claimed his Death was fixed in time, and it was nowhere close... or so he claimed.
"The Italians have made their position obvious," Elizabeth turned to the last person, "So, what will you do now?"
There a sole figure stood at the very far.
"... We seek peace," The man spoke, at no moment had he moved, or even partaken in anything, "So long Zaanam is safe, we care not for the means."
"So [The Monk] will also not be an issue?" Elizabeth asked to make sure, "I do not want to deal with you wanting to backstab me later."
"We will not do so," The man said, it unerved Elizabeth, she had never gotten a clear read on this one, but if he wasn't going to be an issue then that was fine and dandy, after all, Elizabeth wouldn't remain as powerless that long, not that she was powerless of course, but since she was all but ready to take the next step on her path, then it was about time she took it.
"Good," Elizabeth said nodding, "You may leave at your own convenience... Do not return."
And with that Elizabeth teleported away from the reception hall.
"Thank you for your patronage," Rossie then stood up and walked forward, "Unlike Eli-Eli, let me give you a clear warning. If any of you bother us... I will rain Death upon you."
And as if she hadn't just threatened all the powers of the world, Rossie also teleported away.
"Please excuse her," Rena said next, "But we have not the best experience with those that claim to be in power, be it by betrayal, dismissal or abuse of power."
Then turning to the Italians, "You must understand better than most. Do explain them later, why we don't and can not trust any of you."
And with that said, Rena also teleported away.
They all knew of course, the base powers that Rossie, Rena and Elizabeth held, and while Elizabeth having spatial powers was kind understandable, most mages could access any type of magic with enough Mana, and if Elizabeth had something going that everyone knew, was Mana.
But Rossie? She was overly know as a prodigy at healing, a master of Soul and Mind magic. Her specialty was focused on the healing and destruction of the self. For her to teleport... Well, Rossie didn't have enough Mana to execute something like that so flawlessly.
And that was not even getting into Rena, a skill user, a former powered, someone who wielded the sword. To teleport without using a sword?
"Gentleman," The voice that spoke next made everyone stood up in attention at once, some cursed from the reflex that was ingrained in them, while other merely grimaced as the memory of why it was a reflex that was ingrained into them returned to the front of their minds, "Thank you for coming to My Daughter's Wedding. But your stay has exceeded the courtesy limit."
"That is to say, leave!" Catherine said next with a cheerful tone, "All of you. Now. We have things to speak with Eli-Eli, and can't have you gossiping around, we will send a Divine Message within the week if we need anything from you or your countries... But from what we can tell, that shouldn't be needed."
"Do you... Want us to build a new church?" Lucia De'Medicci spoke before anyone else, "I assume you wish to raise your daughter to your lofty spot?"
"That is okay Lucy-lu!" Catherine said shaking her head, "Thank you for the offering, but it will not be needed, Eli-Eli prepared even better than we could hope. Look down at this place... this is a shadow of her throne of power after all!"
[The Prophet] looked around as her face started to show surprise and awe, "This... is a shadow?" The woman said, just as Echidna had done before, she could see the dense power within the Cathedral of Sin. "I see... we never stood a chance huh."
"Nope!" Catherine said smiling, "Eli-Eli will Rise, you all just need to be grateful that you didn't become an irreparable enemy to her, or your Story would have ended differently."
And at that point, one by one the people remaining started to leave, some more flashy than others. Till only the mayor of the American Federation remained.
"... Will you... be taking the power back?" The man asked as he looked up to Jack Brighton, the actual ruler of Zaanam.
"No." Jack answered, "I care not, my family is safe. I will keep maintaining this [System] for some time as that is the deal we made with [The World], but once that is over I will return to take care of my family, should they remain here, or move out. That is for them to decide."
"That is to say, we are going on vacation!" Catherine chimed from the side, "You have everything in order, the [Nine Star] or whatever can deal with the issues, we will clean around before leaving and maybe even leave a few safeguards if we are in a good mood!"
And without further explaining what that was, Catherine teleported the man away.
Now everyone had left. Even Rossie's parents had been teleported away with the first wave of people.
"Do you think she will succeed?" Catherine asked as they remained alone, Lily, Amelia, Arthur... Even them had been teleported away by Catherine.
"Yes," Jack answered, feeling the pulse of power resonate with his own Core, the call of the old SEED he had nurtured for centuries telling him that it was about to bloom.
It hadn't bloomed when Elizabeth was conceived, nor when she was born, not even when she awakened her powers at five or fifteen. But now? After such a long time. It was actually telling him that it would bloom.
"She will step forward, whatever her Fate was. She truly has moved past it." Jack turned to stand up, "We just need to make sure nothing bothers in the meantime... That will not be an issue, will it be? Crystal?"
"Do as you wish," The purple-haired woman said before disappearing. No one else besides them and Elizabeth seemed to have noticed her presence, but that was about right.
You needed to have a perspective that encompassed The World to even begin to perceive her, only an outsider watcher, someoen who was seeing this from another reality, and perhaps someone with enough power could percieve what Crystal trully was.
