I will strive beyond this cursed bloodline!

Chapter 33: The Seven Series Dragon Heart - Update

So many questions, so many many questions, Elizabeth had many questions in her mind.

"Let's return for now," But Aura was the first one to move. First, Elizabeth was hovering in the boundary between her Soulscape and the void. And the next, she was once more sitting at the dining table with Jenna, trying to dig a hole through her face using merely sight.

Which wouldn't be worrying…if it was someone else, Elizabeth had no doubt that there was at least one version of Jenna that could just do that.

"It's done, you can stop squishing," Aura said removing her index finger from Elizabeth's forehead.

"Are you sure?" Jenna said still not relenting on her Mana ussage.

"Very," Sana answered instead of Aura, to Aura's annoyance. "Mistress is fine now."

Jenna wasn't surprised by Sana's presence and merely removed the layers and layers of mana that were attempting to compress Elizabeth into a singular blob of mana.

"Thank- *BUUUUUURRRRRRRPPPP*," The sound that came from Elizabeth's mouth was both loud as it was foul.

Elizabeth felt her face turn crimson red as her hands darted at the top of the speed she was capable of going towards her mouth, "Sorry- *BUUUUUURRRRRRPPPPP*," And a second burp came with the strength of all her might.

"...." No one spoke or said anything.

"Mistress, that was rude." Besides Aura of course.

"Ah sorry, that's on me actually." And Sana, for some reason? "You see, we had some… leakage from the Space Mana, so we transformed it into mundane mana and sent it back. Mistress must be attempting to process it internally, and the waste is being expelled."

Waste?

Elizabeth focused her senses into the gases that wanted to exist through her mouth and sure enough, there was some toxic aspect inside this mana…but why was it coming out of her mouth?

"So she is burping the wastage?" Aura said, turning to Sana and eyeing the smaller purple priestess critically, "Why burps?"

"I mean… isn't it better that it is coming out from the chimney instead of the basement?" Sana said with a shrug.

"....You know what, you are right. Good job," Aura said, nodding at the purple-haired priestess.

"I - *Burp*, retract my previous statement, that is definitely your daughter*Burp*" Elizabeth said while focusing her energy into shunting the gases away from her mouth, while they did want to exist through there, nothing stopped Elizabeth from teleporting them away so she didn't burp as much (Or as loudly).

"....Right, what's the deal with that?" Aura said turning to Sana, "You weren't born from my body, why are you claiming to be my daughter?"

"Because you are?" Sana answered confused, "Your mana gave birth to me, so what are you if not my Mom?"

Both girls presented quite valid points in their argument. But it was meaningless for both of them. Why?

"She is your daughter, I mean. Look at her, same hair, same eyes, same *Burp* taste for the jokes." Elizabeth said burping away what felt was the last piece of foreign toxic mana. "Also…It doesn't feel as if Terra Nexus has gone anywhere."

"Why would you feel that?" Sana asked confused, "It is still there, it only is also over there."

That….sounded so wrong on so many levels.

"What this girl means to say is that since you are moving terra nexus to real space, the connection is still wide open, it will settle down to normal levels soon enough and when it does you will probably not notice the change at all." Aura answered, shaking her head, "Other issues more important are where Terra Nexus will end and the neighborhood."

The what now?

It was a planet, why would it care if there was a HOA or not.

Would it even matter? Or was more of a mind the people that is already living around there?

"There wasn't anyone around the zone I left the connection to." Sana said, stretching, "So that is a moot point."

"Eli-Eli? Who is that girl?" Rossie said from the back as she walked slowly towards Elizabeth, "And are you fine?"

"She is Kuzunoha Sana," Elizabeth said, pointing to Sana, "And she seems to be Aura's Daughter."

"She is no such thing." Aura quickly said, "I have never been pregnant or have established any type of love relationship that could result in this."

"I am borne out from your Mana though," Sana said pointing out, "I have your eyes, hair and mana. You are by all metrics my progenitor."

"Stop speaking," Aura said shaking her head, "Are you even aware of how much danger you are placing me under by saying those things within spell distance of Rossaline Sigh?"

"But Mom…Usually is the daughter the one who denies the Mother, not the other way around." Sana continued speaking even while being scolded, and Rossie…Rossie didn't seem too happy about this.

"So does that mean that the fire salamanders…" Rena said from the side, "I haven't spent that much time with them….Am I a bad Mother?"

"Those don't count," Elizabeth quickly jumped to defend Rena's honor, "The Fire Salamander don't take anything out of you unlike Sana here."

"Also, they don't even sound or move like you." Rossie also jumped into it, "I am sure the minions born out from Lust will also be like that."

Elizabeth…sure hoped that, she wanted her first Daughter with Rossie to be born out of actual love and not from the manifestation from Sin Mana, actually…

"Why are you like this?" Elizabeth said turning to Sana, "I know you were born out from Sin and Space, but … why are you actually like this? None of the other minions are like you."

Elizabeth was greatly interested in that, she didn't want more minions to be like this, she wouldn't mind (That much) if Lust was like that, but she didn't want Envy to be like that.

"I am not entirely sure…" Sana said, thinking for a second, "I doubt the rest of my Kin will be like that…"

And as if to make an example of it, the fox girl pulled out from empty space a small fox kit with dark purple fur, "See? This one is not quite sapient yet." Said small fox kit yipped and jumped from the fox girl's hand and sank into empty space, only to come out from other spot.

That was interesting, but also beside the point at the moment.

No, the more important issue was what the deal was with Sana; while she had progressively more advanced minions, it had been the same with the specter Owl (Iroha).

Perhaps Elizabeth had a way overdue Identify festival?

"Well, something is overdue that is for sure." Elizabeth said looking at her own hand, she still remembered the first time she used the skill and the stupid results it gave her.

Left hand of Elizabeth Starbright was it? Not that she was going to make the same mistake. Instead she focused in what she wanted to find out. Channeling her mana inwardly, setting it from the Cores she had distributed around her body, and finally focusing it into her eyes, Elizabeth intoned, "Identify," The first target of the day would be her skill.

The thing that Alexanders had left for her. And the more likely candidate to screw her depending in how it evolved.

-Seven series dragon heart.

Built in the forge of a world using the beating heart of a nascent planet's soul, this core was created by the talent of a mad scientist, designed to integrate the duality of mana as an esoteric energy and normal energy. It was meant to be used by the scion of a dying world, but both the world and the owner died before it was finished, currently it is beating once more after having been asleep in the soul of its [Inheritor]. Strive to complete it, or let it sleep for eternity, the choice is yours.

There were some updates to her skill since the last time she saw it, more precisely, the new addition to the screen, that is to say, the addition to the Sin type of manas Elizabeth had access. That was fine and all, so Elizabeth next focused on what she had access to in those slots.

The four skills she had access so far, those that she used and those that she didn't use that long. Perhaps some of those were passive effects so those didn't count? Elizabeth needed to dwell more in that parts of the skills.

Seven Series Skills:

--Gluttony's Maw:

[Original Owner of this sin: [Unnamed], The Dragon Empress]

Hero's Envy:

A hero is supposed to be someone who stands above the rest, they extend their hand to those in need, do they need money? Food? Medicine? You are the one who will willingly extend their hand and give what they need, should it be within your purview to do so. That is a Hero.

You seized from a fallen Hero his Armory; he was supposed to use it as a way to empower armies to fight a losing battle. So as to turn a common rabble into an Army of Heroes for him to lead. Instead, he hoarded it all for himself, the treasures of a doomed world, the gifts from the dead gods, wasted.

Now, you hold the keys of his Armory. You hold the keys to the Armory of Heroes. Will you give these weapons and armor to those in need? Or will you use them to continue hoarding treasures like a greedy dragon?

That is up to you, Inheritor.

[You may summon the objects from the Armory anywhere within your Domain.]

[Original Owner of this sin: Suzuki Akira, The Fallen Hero of Aetheria]

And then, the new ones.

Notice:

You have moved far and wide from the beginning of your path to where you stand today. Your fate was to be a means to actualize the world. To bring together humanity as the way to connect humanity to a greater whole.

You did not fulfill this fate.

Instead of being bogged down by past mistakes, you decided to follow a different path. Attempting to save those that are lost, the dwellers who reside within the darkness, you have brought salvation to those that are broken and devoid of hope.

Connecting your destiny to those who would bring you down.

That was what you decided to do, spreading your shadows away from a bright future and instead dwelling in the shadows.

So greedy that you have moved forward in this manner, so be it Inheritor. You will be forever tainted by Greed's Proliferation.

-Greed's Proliferation:

Your path is one that seeks to save and purify those who are corrupted, lost, broken, and devoid of hope. In your hopes to save those who should have died and return to the circle of transmigration for a second chance, you have tainted yourself.

Greed is not a Cardinal Sin for no reason. Your path of power has been tainted, instead of seeking to spread and seek unification, your mana will forever try to spread and take into itself that which is broken, corrupted or crazed.

Proliferation will now not only try to spread outward, but will actively seek those that are damaged to bring them to you.

Your hoard will not be of valuables and gems, but of those that are broken and need salvation. But that is what you wanted from the beginning, was it not, Inheritor?

[Proliferation will attempt to spread using mana leylines and ambient mana.]

[Proliferation will attempt to take into the user corrupted skills and corrupted souls.]

[Proliferation will subsume those that are caught into the host's system.]

[Proliferation will seek not the souls that are healthy, but those that are broken.]

[Proliferation will attempt to take in skills that are dangerous to the current user and subsume into the host.]

Notice:

Your biggest dream was always one of laziness, one in which you claimed that all your desires could been fulfilled if the world just left you to sleep in peace.

But was it that the truth?

You who walked the harshest path available for yourself? You who moved forward in the most inneficient way? You who chased the path of power instead of accepting mediocrity?

No.

You never settled for the easy path, you never accepted the chances to stop and rest. You who moved forward, even when the chance for eternal sleep was given. You are not a true representative for Sloth.

You whose fantasy has romanticized Sloth, see the true form of Sloth.

For this is, Sloth's Dream

Sloth's Dream:

To some, Sloth is the ultimate form of laziness, the proof of someone who does nothing and waits for the world to solve all the issues by itself instead of having to move.

You, Inheritor, are one of those who think this is Sloth's way.

It is not.

Sloth is not stopping working, Sloth is knowing how to achieve the best outcome with the least amount of energy. Sloth is knowing that studying all night today will allow you to have an easier time this week.

Sloth is the way to achieve the best outcome with the least amount of effort.

True Sloth is being someone who has studied all the possible outcomes and found the path for victory.

[Grants innate knowledge about any mana construct the user can perceive.]

[Grants access to the Knowledge repository of 'Akasha'.]

[Increases the efficiency of all 'Eye skills'.]

[Allows the user to skip any chant, spell requirement or ingredients for any spell.]

[Allows the user to stockpile spells in a theoretical space even when the magic system used doesn't allow that.]

Subsumed skills:

-Dragon's Knowledge Vault: X

-Appraisal

-Identify

-Dragon's Eyes

That...That was interesting to say the last, Elizabeth hadn't noticed that one of her skills had been subsumed, hell, she hadn't even noticed any noticeable change with her skills.

It was, however, easier to notice once she was aware of it. The first change came from the Dragon's Knowledge Vault, the thing was what granted her some type of innate knowledge or something.

Elizabeth hadn't use it that much to be honest, since it was mostly knowledge from Alexanders about stuff he used to do, or knew how to do. Not something that Elizabeth used daily.

The other changes were more relevants to her, like the changes to Appraisal, Identify and to her Dragon's Eyes.

Skills she actually used, well, she didn't use Appraisal that much since she had Identify. But that was besides the point. Instead she focused on the thing.

Trying to summon her Dragon's Eyes she noticed that there was a change, instead of summoning them like normal, she noticed that there was a...secondary option for her. That is to say, there was an alternate method that granted her something different.

Following the feeling, Elizabeth ended up with...The Magical Circle eyes that Michael used.

"New eyes?" Jenna asked from the side, "Interesting choice."

Elizabeth dismissed the thing and sighed, "Yeah, a legacy from Michael I guess." And said as much.

Then turning to the side she turned to Sana, "Identify." Using the skill in the fox girl.

This would be almost as important as the check up on her skills, this would give her more information on what was the deal with the daughter of Aura, and perhaps who her other parent was, Elizabeth...really hoped that she wasn't one. She had plenty issues already with the valkyries being around.

And she did not want more daughters over whom she had no control.
