📚 Book 1 Recap:

(For returning readers before diving into Book 2)

In the world of Yugantar, power reigns supreme. Sampoorna is seen fleeing with a child, pursued by his brother, Kundan. Cornered, he uses a dangerous technique to split the child's immensely powerful soul in two—sending one half through a portal before escaping. Later, he discovers the hidden half has been stolen.

Years pass. In the remote village of Kamalapuri, we meet Aaryan—an eight-year-old orphan scorned by villagers. Despite the ridicule, he earns their respect through hard work and even risks his life to save them. His life changes when Nayan, the village chief's son, returns and forces Aaryan into a dangerous expedition alongside his brothers Sharan and Aman, and three generals from the city of Vasruk.

Their mission: to hunt three deadly Scorpion-tail Wolves. Aaryan soon learns the truth—the villagers are bait, and the leaders only care about the wolves' monster cores. As the hunt turns deadly, Aaryan narrowly survives, slaying one of the beasts after awakening a hidden power. Gravely injured, he escapes with the core.

He's rescued by Kalyani, a kind woman on the outskirts of Green Veil City. When Aaryan tries to leave, she insists he stay to repay the debt for his healing. Touched by her sincerity, he agrees.

Later, Aaryan hears about the Evernight Sect's recruitment and, determined to gain strength, decides to participate. He scores zero in elemental affinity and is mocked—but redeems himself by completing the second trial, earning a place as one of ten experimental disciples.

His powerful body and tenacity impress during combat trials, drawing the attention of the Four Grand Elders. In the final round, he refuses to fight the city lord's son, Varun, earning both Varun's hatred and a reputation as a defiant wild card.

Aaryan joins the Evernight Sect, choosing a remote cave as his residence. His stubborn nature draws the attention of Elder Dharun, who oversees resource distribution. Though intrigued, Dharun's favouritism earns Aaryan more enemies—including Varun. A brutal ambush during a resource collection leads to a fierce battle where Aaryan refuses to kneel, landing a final blow before collapsing. Dharun heals him and gifts him rare items, deepening Aaryan's suspicions.

His strange fortune continues when he receives a dragon egg from a mystical Nine-Coloured Mirage Dragon. He also gains a reputation as a prophet after bizarre advice accidentally helps others—but he sabotages the growing attention by giving ridiculous predictions.

Aaryan later joins a tomb expedition, led by Inner Disciple Rudra and Elder Dharun. After clashing with the rival Cloud Pillar Sect, Aaryan wins a crucial match and earns Yashan's hatred. Inside the tomb, he witnesses a masked girl's effortless strength and later teams up with Rudra to unlock the final chamber.

Using a mysterious key, Aaryan traps over a hundred cultivators and chooses to free the masked girl, who silently takes the brightest orb. After a betrayal by Rudra, Aaryan is left behind and forced to leap into a pit. He awakens in a strange realm, facing trials that reflect the tomb owner's life. Rejecting the notion that shared thoughts define a person, he claims it's one's choices that matter.

He meets a mysterious man—claimed to be the tomb owner's elder brother—who gifts him rare techniques and shows him a troubling vision: the sects have surrounded Evernight, ready to fight over the stolen techniques.

Aaryan rushes back to help Dharun and, now at Body Tempering Stage 8, defeats disciples and confronts the elders. Using divine fruit, he forcefully breaks through to Qi Condensation. After slaying one elder, his body collapses. Captured and tortured, a fierce aura awakens inside him. Nearby disciples flee. Sensing this, Sampoorna rushes in, and Aaryan slays the remaining elders before fainting.

Sampoorna rescues him. A mysterious girl named Maya heals him with divine medicine. When Aaryan wakes, Maya says she saved him because he might prove useful. She gives him techniques to choose from—Aaryan unknowingly selects ones that once belonged to his mother and father, shocking both her and Sampoorna.

As Aaryan recovers in secret, word spreads that he killed an elder, throwing the sect into chaos. Once healed, he returns to Green Veil City to visit Kalyani, finding Dharun already there. But peace is short-lived.

Back at the sect, Aaryan is promoted to Core Disciple. Despite Rudra's betrayal, Aaryan covers for him—leaving Rudra confused and guilty. Aaryan is later invited to a banquet by Vayu, nephew of Fourth Grand Elder Shiela, where he learns about the dangerous Mani Disciple Trial, a once-in-decades tradition.

The trial location—Mount Veinsunder—becomes accessible only during the trial. Aaryan suspects a trap and tries to avoid it, especially after receiving a cryptic dream from the Mirage Dragon. But he's forcibly drafted into the trial, a move orchestrated by Sect Leader Pryag.

The first trial is a pressure staircase; Aaryan ascends easily with his Dominant Tyrant Physique. In the second, he navigates a complex maze. In the third, he uses misdirection to evade a deadly puppet and escape.

Outside, Aaryan is ambushed by core disciples, then attacked by two Grand Elders. While fleeing, he stumbles upon a hidden altar and finds Meera—Shiela's long-lost niece—chained inside. As the elders close in, Shiela arrives, saves them both, and holds off the traitors.

Branded a traitor, Aaryan is hunted and eventually cornered. During a desperate battle, he breaks through to Spirit Awakening, killing three experts. The dragon egg hatches, unleashing illusions that kill five elders before collapsing.

Aaryan learns Dharun has been captured. He rushes to save him—and is stunned to discover Aman, the chief's third son, is behind it. Aman admits to murdering his brother, joining a demonic cultivator, and helping massacre the village. He even claims to have killed Kalyani. Enraged, Aaryan slaughters him—only to learn from Dharun that Kalyani is alive.

Before they can flee, Pryag appears. Aaryan and Dharun are no match. As Pryag is about to kill Dharun, the broken tip of Aaryan's sword hovers and pierces Pryag's neck. The blade reassembles into a cracked sword and falls at Aaryan's feet.

Then, the First Grand Elder reveals himself as the true mastermind. He admits Pryag was his son and that he has been harvesting karma from talented disciples to boost himself. Just as he tries to capture Aaryan, Maya appears—summoned by jade—and kills him instantly.

They return to the Evernight Sect with the unconscious Maya (a different one), and convince the imprisoned Shiela to take up leadership. She agrees.

Aaryan chooses to leave with Maya to grow stronger. Dharun resists, but Aaryan insists—and asks him to tell Kalyani that he's no more, so she won't wait for him forever. As he departs, Meera appears and promises to find him again in the outside world. Aaryan smiles and leaves, stepping into the unknown.
