Urban Ace Bodyguard

Chapter 396: Blood Debt Paid in Blood

Zhang Shenxu's secret residence was a detached Western-style house with a yard. This fellow's salary couldn't even cover the down payment in Huadu after saving for ten years, clearly indicating some black income.

At this moment, the light was on on the second floor. Through the curtains, one could see a gracefully shaped woman walking to the sofa, her figure so exquisitely tempting.

There were also a lot of covertly installed surveillance cameras around the house. This fellow seemed quite cautious normally—the more cautious a person, the surelier they harbor secrets unfit for the light of day.

These surveillance cameras were as good as invisible to Lin Hai, who effortlessly avoided each monitoring spot and strutted into the house.

He quietly opened the door on the first floor; the security door was almost as good as paper to Lin Hai.

The person on the second floor seemed unaware of anyone entering.

In the living room on the first floor, the TV was continuously displaying unsightly scenes, and the coffee table was still filled with many special tools.

Just by observing these distasteful items, one could tell Zhang Shenxu was usually up to no good here.

Hearing the noise downstairs, the voice of Officer Liu, imbued with an incredibly sultry charm, came from the second floor: "Darling, you're back? I've been so lonely these last few days; I've been dying to see you."

Officer Liu almost couldn't wait to run downstairs.

Lin Hai lazily sat on the sofa, mysteriously procuring a bottle of red wine, watching Officer Liu run downstairs, not wearing a single thread.

"Ah!"

A sharp scream erupted suddenly; the expected Zhang Shenxu hadn't returned, but instead there was a terrifying mysterious person filled with a cold aura and murderous intent.

Looking at the cold eyes underneath the bronze mask, Officer Liu inexplicably shivered violently.

"You… who are you, what do you want!" Officer Liu couldn't help but ask.

"I'm here to collect a debt," Lin Hai spoke slowly, his voice husky and enchanting from beneath the mask, forcing one to listen intently.

"You… you want money? How much do you want? I'll give it to you; please leave here immediately." Officer Liu was extremely frightened, thinking of tricking Lin Hai into leaving first.

"Hehe, I don't want money. The debt I'm collecting is a life." As Lin Hai spoke, he seemingly conjured a red pill in his hand, playing with it.

Seeing the red pill, Officer Liu froze for a moment, her face drastically changing.

The pill was indeed Heaven, the last stock at home, and she had even deliberately hidden it in a very secretive spot, not expecting that this mysterious person who had entered at some unknown time would find it.

"RX organization's Heaven, highly addictive. Almost after one use, one is hooked for life. When the poison acts, it feels like countless bugs gnawing the bones, unbearable itchiness mixed with pain, virtually like plunging into Hell, but upon taking it, it feels like ascending to Heaven, something you hate yet love, obsess over, unable to let go. Am I right?" Lin Hai said with a smile.

Officer Liu's face turned pale, the person before her meant ill, and happened to know the secret of Heaven.

"You, what exactly do you want to do?" Trembling, Officer Liu asked.

"Hehe, what I came to do, can't you guess?" Lin Hai counter-questioned.

Suddenly, Officer Liu's face twitched and her expression revealed pain as her body began to shake uncontrollably.

This was a sign of withdrawal symptoms from Heaven.

"Ouch... it hurts so much." Officer Liu's body started to tremble violently, her eyes filled with an intense craving as she looked at the bright red pill in Lin Hai's hand.

"I didn't expect your body to be so dependent on Heaven already," Lin Hai shook his head. This woman obviously used Heaven frequently, which led to shorter and shorter intervals between doses. Over time, she had to take it almost every few hours, essentially becoming a plaything of Heaven.

"Ah, it hurts, it hurts so much..." Officer Liu, unable to control her body's pain, stumbled and fell to the ground, frantically scratching her arms and body. The agony in her eyes was fixated on the red pill, as if all her hopes were pinned on it.

"Give me the pill, give me the pill!" Officer Liu, with a sudden burst of strength, lunged towards Lin Hai's hand.

Lin Hai casually kicked her, and Officer Liu flew back and fell to the ground with a thud.

"Do you want it?" Lin Hai asked with a tempting tone.

"Yes, please give it to me, I was wrong, give me Heaven, I'll do anything."

Officer Liu crawled painfully to Lin Hai's feet on the ground, her hands tightly holding onto his feet, her eyes full of pleading, while her facial features started to twitch in pain.

"Anything?" Lin Hai chuckled lightly.

"Yes, anything, just give me Heaven, I'm willing even if it kills me," Officer Liu said with madness in her eyes, sweat dripping down her forehead like beads.

"Do you have any dignity left?"

"I have no dignity, just give me Heaven, what do I need dignity for, please, just give me Heaven, I'll do anything," Officer Liu's eyes held a hint of madness.

Lin Hai sighed softly, with a touch of regret, seeing how a person was willing to lose their dignity in front of such a severe drug.

This was also the reason why he always hated those drug dealers.

"Why did you frame Ouyang Xiaoya? Who made you do it?" Lin Hai questioned.

"If I tell you, will you give me Heaven?" Officer Liu's body continued to tremble violently, she seemed on the verge of collapse, panting heavily as she asked.

"Tell me everything you know, and I'll consider it," Lin Hai said lightly.

Almost without hesitation, tormented by the pain of the drug's backlash, Officer Liu quickly answered: "Zhang Shenxu asked me to do it, after he tricked me into using Heaven, I couldn't ever get away from that stuff. Since then, I did whatever he asked. He also associates with other drug dealers, trying to open up some sort of distribution channel, I'm not quite sure, I'm just his plaything. I've said everything I can, please give me Heaven."

"Is there any other evidence?" Lin Hai asked.

"Yes, Zhang Shenxu has a notebook, it has many contacts of drug dealers, and some other channels, I'm not really sure."

"Where's the notebook?" This was crucial as having the evidence might enable tracing back to a bigger mastermind behind the scenes.

"I don't know, Zhang Shenxu usually carries it with him, he'll be back today, I just spoke to him earlier," Officer Liu was willing to tell everything she knew.

Lin Hai nodded, looked at the time; Zhang Shenxu should be back soon.

Swift as lightning, Lin Hai struck Officer Liu on the neck, knocking her unconscious.
