Urban Ace Bodyguard

Chapter 133: Righteousness on the Bus

The early morning breeze was slightly chilly, and Lin Hai yawned repeatedly as he waited in front of the bus stop sign.

The bus arrived slowly.

Lin Hai got on the bus and found it empty, probably because it was early in the morning.

What he didn't know was that the bus stop was not far from the starting station, and this area was a villa district where most people had their own private cars.

He casually picked a seat by the window, sat down, and aimlessly took out his phone, which had WeChat installed on it by Ouyang Ruoshuang. It was said that one could "shake it" when lonely or bored, and something magical would happen.

Actually, Lin Hai didn't know that Ouyang Ruoshuang used WeChat to monitor his distance from her at all times, thus deducing Lin Hai's location and whether he was up to no good.

Lin Hai, completely unaware that the young lady was plotting against him, chuckled and muttered, "Sigh, lonely women play WeChat, lonely men search nearby, I'm so empty..."

The bus reached the next stop, and suddenly a crowd of people rushed on, leaving Lin Hai staring in disbelief; just a moment ago, he was worried that the bus driver wouldn't make much money today.

A trembling old lady boarded the bus.

As a result, a group of strong young men occupied the seats.

The elderly grandmother could only hold onto the handrail with difficulty.

Seeing that the old lady was kind and advanced in age, Lin Hai quietly stood up.

"Ma'am, please take a seat," Lin Hai said with a smile.

Suddenly, a bespectacled young man next to him quickly plopped down in the seat Lin Hai had vacated and let out a contemptibly proud snicker.

"Sh*t! Even snatching a seat from an old lady, how heartless can you be?" Lin Hai's eyes widened.

The young man proudly smirked at Lin Hai and flashed the tattoo and scar on his arm as a show of intimidation.

"Sh*t, you dare to scare me? The wounds I have all over my body could make you cringe," Lin Hai secretly scoffed.

The old lady nodded gratefully yet helplessly at Lin Hai as a way to say thank you.

Lin Hai wouldn't stand for this.

Nowadays, many young people don't understand what it means to respect the elderly and cherish the young.

He tapped the shoulder of the young man.

The bespectacled young man instantly glared angrily at Lin Hai and said nastily, "What do you want? My big brother is Li Taixui."

"Oh, my big brother is Lin Taixui!" Lin Hai retorted.

The young man fiercely glared at the old lady, who trembled and stepped aside in fear.

"Hey, you should respect your elders!" Lin Hai spoke up.

The young man scoffed and looked disdainfully at Lin Hai, "Are you stupid?"

"I just want to talk to you about life, and incidentally teach you some moral principles," Lin Hai said with a smile.

The young man despised Lin Hai with a once over, raised his head arrogantly, revealing two dark nostrils and said indifferently, "Kid, be smart and shut up. In two stops, we'll be in the area controlled by my boss, Li Taixui."

"If you don't want to die a horrible death, you'd best keep it down, hmm-hmm-hmm."

After saying this, the young man arrogantly adjusted his collar, revealing a bunch of cigarette burn scars and some indecipherable tattoos.

"See that? Do I look cool to you?" the young man boasted, as if his row of burn scars were medals of honor.

"I'm not looking, I don't swing that way," Lin Hai curled his lips and added:

"Is this your way of telling me you like to torture yourself with cigarettes?"

The young man's face turned ugly, his gaze furious as he scolded Lin Hai, "Idiot, mind your own business, or I'll cripple you."

Several men nearby couldn't stand by anymore and wanted to step forward to rebuke the actions.

Seeing this, the young thug fiercely pulled out a sharp fruit knife from his pocket and threatened those around him, "f*ck your mother, who dares to come at me? Bring it on, who dares to say half a word to me? Huh?!"

At once, those who originally wanted to rebuke the young thug shrunk back.

Some who had been eager to try also sheepishly stepped back, pretending to be oblivious, and there were others who from the beginning had been indifferent, acting as if it were none of their business.

Lin Hai shook his head and sighed quietly.

"Young man, you're so brazen, do your parents know about this?"

"None of your f*cking business, don't bother me anymore, or I'll kill you."

The young thug became impatient, viciously snarling like a wolf.

The old lady, trembling, quietly tugged at Lin Hai's sleeve, seemingly wanting to remind him to let it be.

Lin Hai gave the old lady a gentle smile and nodded.

Just at that moment, the bus reached the next stop and came to a halt.

"Hmph, we're in my boss's territory now, kid. If you don't smarten up, I'll cripple you," the young thug became even more arrogant.

"I'm telling you, my boss is Li Taixui, Brother Li..."

Before he could finish the word "brother", the young man suddenly felt the world spin, and as his vision blurred, he completely lost his balance and the fruit knife in his hand clattered to the floor.

Lin Hai was holding the young man aloft with one hand, smiling at him, "Buddy, wanna join in building a harmonious society?"

"Driver, someone's attacking a passenger!"

The driver remained stoic.

"Driver, are you f*cking deaf?"

The driver pressed the buzzer: "Please offer your seats to the elderly, weak, sick, disabled, pregnant, and passengers with children. The next stop is Zhongshan Road HK area..."

"Who the hell are you? I will call the police!" The thug finally panicked, realizing he had messed with the wrong person, filled with regret.

Because he discovered that no matter how much he struggled, Lin Hai's strong grip clamped him tight, that arm firm as if it was cast from steel, not budging an inch.

"Call the police? I work at the police station," Lin Hai thought of Queen Qi and spoke nonchalantly.

The young man had been in utter panic, but when he heard Lin Hai say he worked at the police station, his expression twisted into a sneer, maliciously shouting, "The police are beating people, the police are beating people, oh sh*t, the police are beating civilians, such dark times!"

"Tsk, tsk, with that face, not all police are bad, got some good ones who are wrongly accused by the likes of you," Lin Hai snorted coldly.

"Kid, believe it or not, I'll expose you online later, and share it for five hundred days. I'm good friends with Chaibaliujiu and Zhihuohuo, they're big V influencers, you know. By then, your reputation will be dirt, and you'll be like a rat crossing the street, they'll even cause your leaders to discipline and fire you," the thug yelled again, smugly looking at Lin Hai. From his previous experiences, he knew cops were most afraid of unscrupulous media—a little bit of nonsense written and posted online could garner a large crowd of ignorant masses to observe and sympathize, then media outrage and moral coercion could make an honest cop's life so miserable that they can't even land a street sweeping job.

Lin Hai smiled dismissively, calmly saying, "I'm a temp!"

The young man's smug face was as if it had been slapped hard, his expression turning incredibly ugly. After a long struggle, he finally spat out, "F*ck, you're tough, just don't let me run into you again!"

The other passengers watched as Lin Hai completely subdued the young thug, as if aided by divine power. Those who had been indifferent and unconcerned, now one by one were vociferously condemning the young man, acting more excited than if they'd been injected with chicken blood.

Lin Hai couldn't be bothered to talk anymore, to deal with such shameless people, he threw the man out of the bus window.

Passersby on the sidewalk were startled to see a skinny, sleazy young man with glasses on, his face full of terror, screaming as he arced beautifully through the air and plunged headfirst into a recycling bin designated for adult novelty items.

"Old lady, please take a seat, you're getting on in years and your health isn't good," Lin Hai gently helped the old lady to her seat.

"Thank you, young man, you are a good person," the bus passengers looked at Lin Hai with respect and admiration, and a few junior high school girls had stars in their eyes.

Lin Hai chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head.

The bus continued on towards the next stop.

Just then, Lin Hai's phone rang again.
