A few seconds passed and a black Maybach pulled up on the highly camouflaged and hidden entrance.
Zhao Lifei was in awe by the security here. She did not know that the base was so far out of the city and deep into the forest. Hidden by thick trees, it was impossible to spot this area from helicopters or airplanes, and with the painting of the exterior, it blended in perfectly.
Within a ten mile radius of the building, there were high towers that seemed relatively harmless, but they operated the lines of electricity coursing through the underground and formed an invisible fencing barrier. One step too close and a person would be electrocuted to death.
Chen Gaonan stepped out from a separate car and opened the door for his boss. His eyes became as large as the moon when he saw the two ladies sitting inside the car. They flashed him a smug smile and waved.
His eyes snapped towards his boss and saw that the man was already in a sour mood. He sighed. This must've been their idea and their boss had no choice but to accept it. He already knew who exactly would have been in charge of convincing the Big Boss.
Chen Gaonan stepped aside. Yang Feng came out of the car first. The people immediately bowed before him, "Welcome back, Young Master." Their greetings were in unison and thunderous, the sound drilling into Zhao Lifei's brain.
Yang Feng did not spare them any more than an inattentive glance. He stood tall and proud, untouchable to all, like the almighty ruler he was. People rarely had the courage to meet his gaze, much less look at him for too long.
His aura was incomparable and when his eyes scanned the crowd, everyone gulped. A few broke out in a cold sweat, even though they did nothing wrong. His presence always made people want to confess every sin they've committed. Those who lied to him all suffered unimaginable fate.
Yang Ruqin came out next, her bubbly personality was like a sigh of relief to many. The men respectfully kept their eyes to themselves and a few others kept it trained to the floor. Everyone here knows how important she was to both their Big Boss and Second-In-Command.
And then, out came another stunning woman, one who blew them all away. First came her slim, milky legs, then her body, and lastly, her presence. She was as beautiful as she was fierce. Her eyes swept around the forest, landing upon everyone. She looked around as if she owned this place. She placed a hand on her hips, giving off a very haughty and self-assured persona.
The men could not help themselves but direct their eyes directly towards her. She did not have luscious curves like Su Meixiu, but she was gorgeous in her own right. She gave off a very mature and independent appeal which made her seem like a very hard conquest.
"What are you looking at?" Five words from their boss were enough to send everyone's gaze anywhere but at her. A few looked at the sky as if it was the most interesting thing they have ever witnessed. Some cleared their throat and studied the dirt and all the wonders it offered.
Zhao Lifei chuckled at Yang Feng's words and when she was close enough, he yanked her to his side, keeping a very possessive hold over her. She shook her head at his behavior. She wondered how a man like him became a yandere.
Zhao Lifei accompanied him into the building, her eyes curiously observing her surroundings. She was blown away by this place. It was huge but very orderly at the same time.
When she thought of the Underworld, she imagined a dark warehouse with sketchy interior but this place was completely different from that. It was squeaky clean here, brightly lit, and when she walked with Yang Feng into different floors, she could see state of the art technology. When they got to the control room, her eyes grew wide. Many of the equipments here were ones found deep within the military bases!
Yang Feng guided her to a waiting room and sat her down along with Yang Ruqin. "Stay here and behave. I will be back in fifteen minutes."
Zhao Lifei opened her mouth, but it was too late. He was already storming out of the room, closing the door behind him. She stood up and sat right back down when she heard the loud click of the lock.
Yang Ruqin waited three minutes before she said, "Okay. Let's find a way out of here."
Zhao Lifei stood up and reached her hand into her hair to pull out a bobby pin. "Good call, let's go." She went to the door and paused, her confidence washed down the drain. There was no door handle. And upon closer examination, she realized there was a metal slab with the outline of a circular knob that seemed to retract itself when the door was locked.
"Maybe we can try breaking the windows?" Yang Ruqin suggested, her eyes trailing to the window.
"I can already tell its shatterproof." Zhao Lifei huffed, stomping back to the couch where she slumped down and obediently followed his orders to sit here and "behave." She thought she could be like those female leads in movies who always managed to find a way to escape, but it seemed not.
She glanced up at the air vents, an idea popping into her mind, but it was shot down in less than a second. How stupid would it be if she tried climbing into the air vent where there would most likely be an enormous fan preventing their path? She was sure it would not be big enough to fit a person anyways.
"So, you're telling me, we can't pull a dumb female lead card and escape from this room, explore the area, get caught, and then cry our way out of the situation?" Yang Ruqin sat down beside Zhao Lifei.
"Nope." Zhao Lifei leaned her head on the couch and glared at the security cameras in the corner of the room. "Besides, I guess there's no harm in waiting until Yang Feng gets back."
Yang Ruqin wanted to go on a grand adventure and explore this place all by herself. Every time she was here, she was always accompanied by way too many people who prevented her from going in certain places and rooms. All she saw was the bright surface of this area and not the things that made this place hell.

Yang Feng took a pleasant sip of the century-old wine in his glass. He lazily sat on his chair, resting his head on a propped up arm, as if he was enjoying tea on a fine morning. Except, he was not. He was currently watching a man being tortured to death for information that he did not know.
"P-please, y-you have the wrong g-guy!" Zhao Junkai pleaded through mouthfuls of blood. He could barely keep his eyes open. One was severely bruised and black, whereas the other had to blink through the trail of blood dripping from his head.
"T-t-the credit c-card used is mine, b-but I really didn't o-order people to kidnap her!" Guo Sheng twirled the screwdriver in his fingers and without warning, jammed it into Zhao Junkai's thigh.
A bloodcurdling scream filled the air. Zhao Junkai tried to grab his injured thigh but could not do so. His wrists were bound while his body dangled from the air.
Yang Yulong checked the time. Ten minutes have passed and Zhao Junkai had barely given them a satisfactory response. People usually broke down within the first five minutes. Why was this man taking so long to speak? Unless he really was innocent?
Guo Sheng dropped the screwdriver after deeming it too boring. He skipped over to his toy box and began fumbling through it. He picked up a knife dedicated to skinning people but tossed it aside. Too boring. He dug deeper until he found the nail pryer.
Zhao Junkai whimpered at the sight of the device. "W-wait, I-I think I remember something!"
Guo Sheng pouted. 'Awww man! I was so close to using it! Oh well, I'll just have to wait and see what he has to confess.'
"T-the card was s-stolen a long time ago! Y-you can check with my bank."
Yang Feng was intrigued by his words. He turned to Chen Gaonan and commanded, "Get the bank files."
"Yes, sir." Chen Gaonan bowed his head and walked off.
Yang Feng checked the time. Fourteen minutes have passed. It was time to go back to his woman. He stood up and waved Guo Sheng over. "Clean his wounds."
Zhao Junkai relaxed upon hearing it. 'D-does that mean he would be let go? Thank goodness—'
SPLASH!
Boiling hot water was dumped onto his body, as an inhumane and beastly scream sliced the tension. His body wriggled, causing the chains to rattle while he howled and screeched in pain.
Guo Sheng clapped his hands at the sound, a manic and crazed look in his eyes.
