Lord of Mysterious Wizard

Chapter 636 Tang Pao Pao

"So, as long as we don't respond to It, we are safe?"

Tang Qi stood on the ice, watching the big blue-eyed Big Octopus that should have been terrifying, but now seemed comical and cute, with the eyes on Its body and tentacles still blinking, twinkling with ghost light.

But facing Its enthusiastic entreaty and inquiry, the scientists aboard the Seeking Knowledge were all panic-stricken, hiding in the storage cabin, not daring to show their faces, let alone make any response.

If this were a comic, a huge question mark would probably appear above the head of this "Monarch Octopus" right now.

After the Seeking Knowledge encountered an emergency, the navy's command, issued without knowing the truth, seemed somewhat hazardous, but it has since been corrected by Rose Madeline and other Polymath Consultants.

Now, the military's order to the officers and soldiers on the Frost Dragon:

Do not attack rashly; you may use a "trapping" method to bring the Sea Monster back.

Here, "trapping" naturally involves a bait.

And it's none other than the Frost Dragon itself.

This mechanical Monster from an Exotic Realm, with its extraordinary Power Source, easily crushed through the icy continent and appeared straight in line from the Seeking Knowledge, roughly a kilometer away, did not continue to advance but instead used its searchlight to release a strong light Source.

Stationed in the Majestic Ice Ocean, it was like an oversized light bulb.

Unless blind, no Biological creature in the area could ignore it.

The reason for adopting such an intense method of trapping was to save the scientists on the Seeking Knowledge who were on the brink of death.

Although every Monarch Octopus when initiating a "chat-up," deliberately suppresses the Pollution released from within its body to avoid causing the object of their attention's Death,

Even so, as Divine beings, even a slight leak of Pollution is enough to kill some fragile Life.

The Seeking Knowledge was equipped with "radiation-proof cabins," but they couldn't hold out for too long.

If rescue came too late, even if the Monarch Octopus left, the navy could only bring back blocks of ice.

As expected, the big blue-eyed Big Octopus, with its many eyeballs, indeed could not ignore the oversized light bulb, the Frost Dragon.

Its head slowly turned towards the Frost Dragon, stared for a moment, and then turned back.

A few seconds later, It turned again.

And then, turned back again.

...

This scene, not only Tang Qi had about to chuckle, but the soldiers on the Frost Dragon were also speechlessly in unison, and the scientists on the Seeking Knowledge were on the verge of tears.

They really wanted to rush out and roar at the Monarch Octopus: As a "Sea Monster," can't you be a bit more decisive?

After several rounds of indecision, the big guy finally made up Its mind.

Its tentacles slowly loosened their grip on the Seeking Knowledge.

As its huge body was about to sink into the ice ocean and leave, one of Its tentacles still swayed briefly towards the Seeking Knowledge, and the image of a "farewell wave" naturally emerged in the scientists' and officers' minds.

However, the navy on the Frost Dragon didn't get ready before, just a second later.

Boom!

The Frost Dragon, as stable as a billion-year-old iceberg, suddenly let out a muffled sound.

Since the Frost Dragon seemed much larger than the "Monarch Octopus," and because the Sea Monster, upon inspection, actually seemed more like a clumsy big fellow, the soldiers were not very nervous.

Until this moment, when tentacles that were blue and visibly swelling at an observable rate wrapped around, and the Frost Dragon began to sink rapidly, directly touching the alert waterline, and that seemingly comical head, like a giant "blueberry jelly," came face to face with the soldiers.

A bunch of blue "lanterns" began to flicker.

Invisible sonic waves spread in the new area.

The scene almost identical to what happened on the Seeking Knowledge was replayed.

The Frost Dragon was instantly in chaos.

Warning! Warning! Excessive sinking of the ship, risk of capsizing!

Report! Radar system is encountering unknown radiation and is failing!

The turret system has been contaminated and is about to fail!

Frost Dragon's AI is actively shutting down, it's compiling a backup log, warning the driver, coinciding exactly with the consultant's advice: Don't answer! Don't answer! Don't answer!

"Indeed, the Monarch Octopus had not only deliberately suppressed the Pollution but also Its size."

"So, how big is Its true form? And to what extent can It shrink?"

Witnessing the upheaval on the Frost Dragon, Tang Qi's smile faded, and he turned solemn.

Silently, he activated his Special Ability.

Since he was sure It was deliberately suppressing itself, now was an excellent opportunity to spy, and there was not likely to be any backlash.

Of course, he was also prepared.

The Fool's Ship appeared beneath him, ready to instantly escape into the Mysterious realm in case of any change.

The next moment, Tang Qi saw the answer and immediately understood why the Monarch Octopus, a mere "Divine creature," was deemed by Rose's teacher, the "Ancient Observer," to be eligible for the test subject catch list.

An unexpected piece of Hidden Knowledge exploded in Tang Qi's mind:

[Extraordinary Creatures: Monarch Octopus.]

[State: Normal.]

[Information Fragment One: A divine being endowed with an abundant amount of Extraordinary Power, Its power is almost equivalent to the overlap of partial Authority from the "Cold God" and the "Sea God," two different types of gods. It is also a Split Individual of a "Dominator Level" God.]

[Information Fragment Two: The "Mysterious Monarch" that all Monarch Octopuses are seeking is actually themselves.]

[Information Fragment Three: The Mysterious Monarch is one of the most ancient Dominator-level Gods within the Mysterious, older than the Melter. Yet during the Age of Ignorance, for unknown reasons, It split into dozens of Monarch Octopuses, some of which die, while others undergo Rebirth after a certain State.]

[Information Fragment Four: Each reborn Monarch Octopus will split into several different individuals, inheriting different Divine Powers... They continue to be reborn, to split, and eventually scatter across the endless corners of the Mysterious, making it almost impossible to reintegrate into the 'Mysterious Monarch.' This also means they will forever continue their search.]

Watching these passing fragments, Tang Qi looked again at the blue, blue Big Octopus entwining the "Frost Dragon," observing Its enthusiastic advances to the naval officers, as Its many eyes blinked vigorously, sending successive inquiring messages.

The scene suddenly seemed like a tragicomedy, these great beings spending their life searching for the grand "Mysterious Monarch," which is actually themselves, yet they will never be able to find It.

"Knowing all this, why do I feel somewhat guilty about luring and capturing them now?"

As soon as this thought arose, Tang Qi immediately shook his head.

Dispelling the inexplicable guilt, his gaze once again became resolute.

Before taking action, he pondered for a moment, confirming that the Big Octopus, possessing both the Authority of the "Cold God" and the "Sea God," was powerful yet gentle in nature, posing no great danger.

Without further hesitation, the preparations he had made took effect the next second.

Above the silent Majestic Ice Ocean, in the far-off firmament above, a sight that made everyone unable to help but gawk appeared.

Silent, yet so beautiful it was breathtaking, an illusion of colors burst forth. Twisting, winding, incredibly dreamy, and enigmatic lights tore through the dark void, revealing the dazzling stars, and a "galaxy" mixed with almost every color stretched across the sky.

"The Aurora!"

The Seeking Knowledge, in the midst of escaping, and the panic-stricken Frost Dragon, along with the scientists and officers on board, all cast their eyes toward the sky.

The blue, blue Monarch Octopus, as a divine creature, would not normally be drawn to the aurora.

But at this moment, It lifted Its head faster than any human.

Its eyes, each blinking more rapidly than before, illuminated an incredible scene; the invisible sound waves transmitting upward swiftly.

Beneath It, a fierce storm suddenly brewed out of nowhere, wrapping around It and propelling toward the wooden boat within the aurora.

In the Fool's Ship, Tang Qi's mind clearly received some information.

Initially obscure, profound, and contaminated with intense Pollution.

But soon, the Pollution subsided, and the questions wrapped inside were decoded by Tang Qi's Special Ability.

"Friend on the Fool's Ship, please wait."

"I am your old friend, the passionate, friendly Big Octopus. Though we haven't met face-to-face, my companions all agree that any Life that possesses the 'Fool's Ship' must indeed be a wise and Universally Loving Sage, so surely you will not refuse my sincere request, will you?"

"I have several questions to ask you, or your companions."

"Ah, perhaps we can have a gathering, a sincere and grand meeting between the wise and kind-hearted Sages and the Big Octopuses. I am now sending out an invitation to my nearby companions, rest assured, they will come as quickly as possible."

"And, they will bring gifts. Let me think, what would the creator of the Fool's Ship like the most?"

"Got it, you like things that are madness, yet containing Mysterious philosophies, how about an 'Chaotic Monster's' eyeball? Or the heart of a 'Parallax Monster'?"

A long stream of passionate, information-laden words echoed in Tang Qi's mind.

Suddenly, he found himself briefly frozen.

Subconsciously accessed warning information put Tang Qi into a kind of reactive State.

"The Monarch Octopus Clan, they are familiar with the Fool's Ship?"

"The big fellow about to entwine, now contacting other Monarch Octopuses... They are planning a gathering, a gathering with me?"

"And, they will bring me gifts."

A tinge of "caution" had just emerged in Tang Qi's heart, immediately snuffed out by the overwhelming tide of a danger premonition.

Almost without hesitation, his previously leisurely paddling intensified tremendously.

The Fool's Ship's bow lifted, breaking through the Mysterious.

A touch of the paddle in the aurora, and the vessel became a dense yellow stream of light, venturing into the boundless Dark and Nihility.

At this moment, Tang Qi was like a boatman fiercely battling the waves, paddling with all his might, the ship lamp oscillating, its light surging, reflecting on his face an exceptionally rare expression of panic.

Behind him, the Monarch Octopus accelerated too, continuing to emit calls:

"Friend, good friend on the Fool's Ship, you... don't go!"

In an Abnormal feeling, Tang Qi could even hear a hint of sobbing in Its voice, making him run even faster.
