Lord of Mysterious Wizard

Chapter 596 Martin Sims_2

These things all appeared at the same time atop the Sky-reaching Tower; chains automatically bound Rafael's body, shackles restrained his hands, and long nails pierced his chest and knees.

Rafael was instantly bound in place.

But on His face, there was no hint of pain, His brow slightly furrowed as if He were about to fall into confusion, lost in thought.

Not far from Him, Charles I, wielding a cross sword, was climbing the Sky-reaching Tower, ready to behead Rafael just as he had the head of the Holy Prophet.

The vast array of Holy Thorns held no sway over him.

Could anyone stop Charles I?

Perhaps... not.

The big shots watching the battle answered their own questions within their minds.

Everyone could tell that Charles I, having dedicated himself to become the "Divine Containment Body," was like a "Master" walking on Earth; his mortal body and soul had been replaced by the Lord of Light's Divine Power.

After the revival of the Spiritual Tide, even the most gifted geniuses with deep heritage could at best only practice up to the "Legendary Level," and even then, they would need the aid of Curios.

And as for antiques like the "Holy Judgment Knight" and the "Undying Pioneers," there might be quite a few "Demigod Level" existences among them.

But still, these had little effect.

Any existence below Divine, when facing Charles I, would not withstand a single sword strike.

A "flawed" god would not withstand His sword either.

"The end of this Civil War is about to be born. The many years of plotting by the followers of 'thorns' like the Holy Prophet and the Holy Confessor, still cannot withstand the absolute power of the 'Lord of Light'... The mad Charles I is about to slay a god, will all glory, belong to the Light?"

Everyone thought that a horrifying conclusion was imminent.

On the fourth floor of the Library Tower, Tang Qi had one foot already stepping through the Magic Portal that had opened before him, with every "Chaos Mushroom" on the Book of Nothingness in front of him trembling, spewing out spores filled with terrifying pollution.

But it was also at this moment that an "unexpected change," no one had thought of, occurred next to Rafael.

At the peak of the Sky-reaching Tower formed by Holy Thorns, a portal to the Rotten Thorns Kingdom circled, as if within the eternal dark night sky.

Brilliant starlight lit up.

One by one, they flashed and connected into a pattern, like a new, unfamiliar constellation resembling a special goat.

Instantly, a figure shifted from nothingness into reality.

"Jason!"

In the Library Tower, Tang Qi stopped in his tracks.

Even though Secret Phoenix City's Strongest Demon Hunter no longer held a human form, that face, those familiar expressions, anyone who knew him would not mistake them.

Jason, unseen for several weeks, now stepped out from the starry sky in a unique form; his upper body still bore traces of humanity but could not conceal the fuzzy chin, his thick curly hair, and the unmistakably obvious horns.

And the lower half, already completely in the form of a goat.

Tilos Demon!

Clearly, what appeared now was Jason's "true form."

This extremely young Demon Hunter appeared beside Rafael, his eyes filled with curiosity and disbelief, still unable to help but doubt that his own frail and vulnerable "good friend" could indeed be the reincarnation of a "Dominator Level" Divine being.

And now, he had no choice but to stand up for his good friend.

Thinking of this, Jason's face then revealed a fearless expression.

He turned around and looked at the "Charles I" which was already close by. The horrifying Holy Light shone into his Tiros' Eyes. Without any prior protection, it was no surprise that Jason let out a painful "sheep's bleat", his blood tears streaming down.

Jason fumbled to grab hold of something that hung before his chest. It was a "harp", seeming to emanate an eternal radiance, composed of the Holy Oak, thorns, and strings of starlight.

As everyone's gaze landed upon it, an unbelievably divine melody simultaneously echoed through their minds.

Including Tang Qi, it seemed as though they witnessed, within that exceedingly enchanting melody, all creatures on the ground entering a slumber, the rushing rivers coming to a halt, and the roaring oceans returning to tranquility... The stars in the sky likewise cast down incomparably brilliant starlight.

"The Holy Relic 'Star Harp' possessed by the Tiros Demon Clan, in the ancient myths and legends, it is an artifact that can guide down the light of the stars."

As Tang Qi recalled the corresponding information, at the pinnacle of the Sky-reaching Tower, the starlight projected through the melody of the harp and then converged upon Jason. Gentle yet majestic starlight, under the watchful eyes of all, began to transform Jason's body.

No, in this moment, Jason's body was merely a "vessel."

Within that splendid starlight, an ancient yet unwavering voice was heard.

"The path not taken by the flesh is the path of Magic."

Accompanying this caution, the previously withered Holy Thorns Tower ran rampant once again.

Bathing in the starlight, the Holy Thorns grew wildly. They wrapped around Jason, who had been reformed into a human shape, though greatly altered, and like a burlap robe but with attached spikes, the "Thorny Clothes" draped over him. A crown with encircling spikes slowly descended upon his head.

In Thorns Square, a mangled, rotten body, with two nearly shattered heads leaning against each other, the Second Rotten Head and Ludwig, having nearly lost all their power due to that horrifying sword strike, could only helplessly watch the scene unfold atop the tower.

Until this moment when that "familiar" voice sounded, both the Second Rotten Head and Ludwig excitedly raised their heads, especially the former. Within his rotten eyes, hope and anger both appeared. He then watched with his own eyes.

Right by the side of their "corpses," the Confession Sword, which had been reduced to dust, began to slowly reassemble. In the midst of the splendid light and amidst the accustomed curse, "Sims, you old antique", from the Second Rotten Head, the Confession Sword became a ray of light, passing through the portal between heaven and earth, aiming towards that aged yet erect figure.

Jason vanished.

Standing next to Rafael now was an old man clad in Thorny Clothes, wearing a thorny crown, and holding the Confession Sword.

His body was aged, and his flesh pierced bloodily by the Thorny Clothes, but within that erect figure seemed to reside an unbelievably great power. He had a face that seemed forever to be smiling benevolently; his eyes held a resolve undeterred by the collapse of heaven and earth.

Behind him surged starlight.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A new turn of events stirred immense waves in everyone's hearts. Apart from Tang Qi, who had foreknowledge of some truths, no one could have imagined that after the "Holy Prophet," another mysterious and glorious "Saint" from the Dark Era would descend. And he was the Confessor, the reputed Strongest Saint, Martin Sims.

In an instant, all eyes were fixated upon this figure, once only existing in myths and legends.

"So the Holy Confessor really didn't die, he simply turned into a star?"

"The speculations of the Mysterious Side were correct. Martin Sims was the strongest among the Twelve Saints. He had already surpassed the 'Demigod Level' and touched upon the rules of the Divine. He could raise himself into the starry sky, turning himself into a star."

"He has been watching over the Origin Star all this time, in the form of a star?"

As these speculations surfaced simultaneously in the minds of the Peeping Toms.

The "eyeball," controlled by Tang Qi and unable to sustain any longer, captured the last fragment of Information Fragment before withering away, confirming this.

"Martin Sims, before the Spiritual Tide ceased, elevated himself into the sky, becoming a star. He evaded the Spiritual Tide and preserved all his power... just waiting for Jason to guide him. He himself is the final Guardian."

On the fourth floor of the Library Tower, realizing this.

Tang Qi, along with the other Peeping Toms, watched the old man holding the "Confession Sword". He bowed slightly towards Rafael but did not release the "Binding" on Him. Instead, with a smile, he faced Charles I who had shattered the Holy Thorns and ascended the summit of the Sky-reaching Tower.

The two, without a word, transformed into two beams of pure light and commenced a heaven-shaking collision.
