Lord of Mysterious Wizard

Chapter 552: Holy Confessor and the Second Rotten Head (2-in-1 Chapter!)_2

The boy looked at Tang Qi; that voice he had heard twice before once again echoed:

"A shameless and desperate Melter Wizard who extorted the Church with my old man's Sword, turns out to be a key figure? Piers must have definitely gotten it wrong. This is terrible; I knew when it came to prophesies, Piers was no match for that stinky thing, the Second Rotten Head."

The first conversation made Tang Qi even more certain that this boy was indeed an avatar of Martin Sims.

I shouldn't have to worry about my identity as the Melter Wizard being exposed... But what's with this tone of disgust?

Piers, the "Holy Prophet," a member of the Twelve Saints?

The Second Rotten Head, a member of the oldest evil organization "the Rotten Heads."

No need for any additional speculation; Tang Qi instantly understood that a huge secret was about to unfold before his eyes.

Moreover, he was being passively dragged into it.

"Holy Prophet Piers predicted my existence during the Dark Era and informed Martin Sims; this Holy Confessor arranged for an avatar to enter the deep Isolation Zone within the Secret Realm ahead of time to sleep until just awakening."

"No, that's not right, Piers did not predict my identity as the Melter Wizard, which means the key figure he prophesied about points to... the Principal of Merada Special Education School?"

Thoughts raced quickly, and Tang Qi's expression remained remarkably calm.

As if what he was facing was just an ordinary boy, not a saintly hero who left a radiant legacy in history.

The boy waited for a moment but received no response.

Neither an angry counterattack nor adoration in front of a Saint appeared.

He saw Tang Qi's mouth curving into a smirk, mimicking his own, an almost identical look of mockery, and then said: "Just a hint of friendship, Lord Simms, the time for this avatar of yours, I'm afraid, is running out."

As Tang Qi spoke, the boy was immediately dumbfounded.

It seems he had never considered that as a human hero of the Dark Era, a "predecessor" whom all Transcendents of this era should revere; he could also be choked up so severely by someone.

Just as this avatar of Martin Sims was contemplating how to educate Tang Qi a bit.

Suddenly, a horrific change occurred.

The "Light Needles" that covered the "boy's" entire body began to be contaminated by a mix of black, yellow, and red radiance, and as the light appeared, Tang Qi sensed something and abruptly raised his hands.

But he saw that the fair skin on them began to rot.

Flesh, blisters, and blood emerged all at once, and at a visible pace, started moving towards the bones.

At the same time, terrible stings and itching spread from the neck towards the skull.

"I am rotting!"

As this thought emerged in Tang Qi's mind.

The boy's face was similarly grave, looking at the Light Needles falling from his body in defense against the rot, he asked puzzledly: "Piers said the new Principal of this crappy school is an impolite junior, but never mentioned that you were such a harbinger of doom?"

After finishing these words, this avatar of Martin Sims seemed to finally remember what he had to do.

With a sudden wave of his hand, the "Light Needles" on his body immediately detached at an accelerated pace and shot towards Tang Qi.

He subconsciously wanted to defend, but after a flicker of ghost light in the depths of his eyes, his movements halted.

In an instant, engulfed by Light Needles, entwined by the Power of Confession and the Radiance of Rot, Tang Qi was drawn into another world:

Here, it seemed to be an abandoned town.

Its original appearance was no longer recognizable, for it had been destroyed.

It had become a terrible, supremely polluted "Extraordinary Battlefield" that could corrupt any pure soul, and in Tang Qi's eyes, he saw a line of rotten human corpses, none of which remained intact, as if they had all suffered the most dreadful tortures known to the world.

But even so, even just a small piece of rotten flesh was emitting an intense pollution.

Furthermore, there were other corpses, mostly intact but all grotesquely deformed, tiny Dwarfs, conjoined twins, "elephant men" with bodies covered in tumors and parasitic growths, boys with dog faces... Tang Qi instantly understood the identities of both sides.

"The Rotten Heads!"

"The Mysterious Deformed Show!"

Another piece of information immediately surged in his mind.

A Mysterious Event recorded in the report left by Rafael:

"The Rotten Heads and the Mysterious Deformed Show went to war over a Transcendent?"

Just as this information emerged, Tang Qi sensed something.

He stood amid the foul-smelling, supremely polluted heap of rotten flesh and looked towards the end of the battlefield.

There, a mountain was piled up, constructed purely out of corpses.

At the summit sat a person.

He was a seemingly somewhat aged young man, wearing a robe of sackcloth, with an expression of agony; before him lay a rotting corpse with a severed head, along with a kneeling figure with a face both on its front and the back of its head.

The deformed man's two faces were both adorned with clown masks.

His body was dissolving after being pierced through the heart by a sword radiating the Confession Radiance, immediately disintegrating into light that scattered.

Tang Qi's gaze sharpened on the young man beside him.

There, lying next to him was an object that felt very familiar to Tang Qi.

The Confession Road... the treasure map!

"The Rotten Heads and the deformed people from the show both suffered losses, and the Inheritor of Sims became the ultimate victor?"

This guess had just sprung up in Tang Qi's heart.

At that very moment, the ascetic young man sitting on that "Corpse Mountain," who seemed to have inherited Martin Sims' legacy, turned his head, his deep gaze crossing the vast distance and locking eyes with Tang Qi.
