My Accidental Harem

chapter 220

With these thoughts, Camila let go of Kevin's cock, sighed, and said, "Kevin, I told you I wouldn't interfere with your relationship with Ms. Wilson. But whatever happens, treat her well. Don't make things hard for her. We women don't take this step unless we have to. Ms. Wilson is young and has her concerns. Be patient with her, okay?"

"Don't worry, Camila. I know what to do," Kevin said, kissing her. "You and Ms. Wilson are the most important people to me. I'll cherish both of you and won't let you down or make you sad."

Seeing the time, Camila quickly dressed and made the bed. Noticing the large wet spot in the center, she thought about how she had just changed the sheets yesterday and now had to wash them again. Seeing Kevin grinning at her, she glared at him playfully and said, "What's so funny? This is all your fault. Hurry back to class. And don't come for me tonight. Go home early."

A Storm, a Realization, and a New Approach

As soon as Kevin left Camila's office, a strong wind nearly blew his eyes shut. He shivered, looking up at the dark sky, thinking a big storm was coming. He quickly ran downstairs, just making it to the classroom as thunder rumbled and heavy raindrops began to fall.

Most of the school's classrooms were old buildings that leaked when it rained. Teachers and parents had long been calling for better facilities. The education bureau had allocated funds for a new teaching building, but the previous principal had diverted the money to build an office building. Since taking over, Principal Zach Jackson had wanted to build a new teaching building but hadn't been able to raise enough funds. So, he had to use the limited funds to recruit talent and improve teaching facilities.

Kevin's desk was right under a leaky spot where water dripped onto his desk. He had no choice but to make a hole in his desk so the water could pass through to the floor. He thought he would choose a seat that didn't leak when he moved to a new classroom next term.

Outside, the rain poured down, and the white-haired math teacher on the podium was loudly explaining a problem. Kevin listened but found his mind wandering back to his passionate kiss with Mia. He had thought their relationship was like a thin piece of paper that he could pierce with a bit of effort.

But he hadn't expected that what stood between him and Mia wasn't paper but an elastic membrane, like silk stockings. He felt he had pierced through, but as soon as he let go, everything returned to its original state, making him restless.

Camila's words calmed him down. Maybe Mia didn't know how to face him now. As Camila said, he was still a student. Any relationship with him would impose significant pressure on Camila and Mia if it ever came to light, while Kevin might be seen as an innocent victim.

Kevin had a moment of clarity. He'd been a selfish jerk, never really thinking about what Camila Cortez or Mia Wilson needed. He'd chased after them for his own pleasure, calling it love, but ignoring their feelings. Camila saw through his act but put up with his crap. He thought he could win her over just with his big cock. But what had he really done for her?

Kevin felt a wave of shame. He realized that if he kept taking without giving, he'd never get close to Mia. She'd never fully trust him or commit to a guy who couldn't step up. Their relationship would stay stuck in this weird limbo.

Professional Training and a Bold Question

In the big conference room at the county education bureau, dozens of female teachers from different schools were gathered. Most were older and from rural areas, dressed simply. But Vanessa Wood and Mia Wilson stood out—young, beautiful, and stylish. Even the old professor on stage couldn't help but notice them.

The education bureau had really gone all out for this training session for key female teachers, bringing in Lance Ortiz, a veteran education researcher. Even though he was retired, Lance was a big name in the education world and now shared his wisdom through these sessions.

"Hey, looks like Professor Ortiz has his eye on you." Vanessa Wood whispered, nudging Mia Wilson, who was all ears. "You've got some serious charm, even the old professor's hooked."

"Cut it out." Mia blushed, frowning at Vanessa but still scribbling notes. She shot a nervous glance at the stage, hoping Lance Ortiz hadn't heard Vanessa's teasing.

After the title evaluation, Mia and Vanessa's relationship had gotten better. Vanessa had softened up, greeting Mia warmly whenever they crossed paths. At first, Mia was wary, but she soon realized Vanessa genuinely wanted to mend fences, so she started to thaw. Working in the same office, it made sense to get along.

Mia didn't approve of Vanessa's fling with Quentin Rodriguez, but she sometimes envied Vanessa's carefree, rebellious streak. Vanessa lived her truth, not caring what others thought. Mia's cool exterior was more of a shield than real indifference. She couldn't tough it out alone like Kevin's mom, Rachel Harris, nor could she boldly chase happiness like Camila or Vanessa. She was always teetering on the edge of moral compromise.

"Alright, that's all for this section. Any questions?" Lance Ortiz paused, took a sip of water, and scanned the room. Most of the teachers avoided eye contact. Just as he was about to move on, a beautiful teacher in the front row raised her hand with a slight smile.

"Of course, go ahead." Lance said, intrigued. "Which school are you from?"

"Professor Ortiz, I'm a high school English teacher. My name is Vanessa Wood." Vanessa said, standing up with a charming smile and pushing out her ample chest to show off her figure.

Even the old professor seemed a bit flustered, his breath quickening. He coughed lightly and looked down. "Alright, alright. What would you like to ask?"

"Professor Ortiz, you mentioned that teachers shouldn't be aloof and should interact with students like friends," Vanessa said in her melodic voice. "But if teachers get too close to students, inappropriate feelings might develop. How should we handle this?"

The question caused a stir among the female teachers, who started whispering. They found Vanessa's question pretty bold.

Mia's heart skipped a beat. Vanessa's question hit close to home, reflecting her situation with Kevin. Did Vanessa know about her and Kevin? Mia glanced at Vanessa anxiously but was also curious about Lance's response.

Lance Ortiz's Advice and Vanessa's Ambition

"Ms. Wood, that's a very sensitive question and not easy to answer." Lance said, a bit taken aback. After a moment, he continued. "Students are at a curious and impressionable age, eager to explore everything, including emotions. We shouldn't just label these feelings as wrong or unhealthy and suppress them harshly. It's a natural part of growing up."

The teachers, who had been murmuring, now reflected on their own handling of similar issues. They often treated students like emotionless robots, harshly reprimanding them for any romantic feelings, thus stifling potentially pure and beautiful emotions.

Lance smiled and continued, "However, as teachers, we can't just indulge students' explorations. We need to guide them, helping them understand that emotions are beautiful but fragile, and they need maturity to handle them properly. For now, their focus should be on their studies. My view is that we should respect students' personalities while guiding their emotional growth. This isn't easy and requires patience and understanding in our daily teaching. Remember, as teachers, we are role models. Our primary role is to impart knowledge and moral values. That's all I have to say."

"Thank you, Professor Ortiz. Your words have been very enlightening." Vanessa said with a charming smile, sitting down gracefully. She noticed the other teachers still whispering about her and couldn't help but smirk internally. They had no idea, she had asked the question to leave a lasting impression on Lance Ortiz.

Lance Ortiz, even at sixty-plus, was a big deal in education. Word was, even the city's education chief had been his student. If Vanessa Wood could get in with him, it'd be way better than hanging around guys like Quentin Rodriguez.

Mia Wilson, on the other hand, had no clue about Vanessa's scheming. She just thought Vanessa loved attention but wasn't mean. Mia was still mulling over what Lance Ortiz had said. Her thing with Kevin had gotten clearer after that kiss. Just a little push and their feelings would explode. Mia had been on edge, wondering if she should take the plunge.

But after hearing Lance, she felt like doing so would make her a terrible teacher. No matter how shameless Vanessa was, she hadn't hooked up with a student. If Mia got with Kevin, it'd be even worse.

When the training wrapped up, Lance Ortiz, flanked by some education bureau folks, headed for the door. Vanessa Wood bit her lip and followed. A few minutes later, she came back grinning, holding a piece of paper with a phone number on it. She thought today's training was a win. If she could get close to Lance Ortiz, she wouldn't need Quentin Rodriguez anymore.

As the conference room emptied, Mia and Vanessa joined the crowd, noticing the office staff heading home. Vanessa sighed. "Man, working at the bureau seems so chill. Unlike us teachers, busting our butts for peanuts. Mia, ever thought about using your connections to transfer to the bureau? You'd be a star there."
