I Level Up When I Make My Wives Happy

Chapter 47: 47. A Perfect Maid.

Stepping out of the guest room, Austin released a long exhausted sigh.

This was because, before the meeting began, he had been extremely busy with Sana and Mae. The three of them had spent most of the morning brewing the juice everyone had tasted, so he didn't even get a moment of rest before the three inspectors arrived at the mansion.

But now that he had handled the only people who could pose a problem for him in his new reign as Lord Of The Western Estate, Austin felt relieved to know that he could finally focus on his upcoming wedding during the next few days.

But while Austin's mind was preoccupied with this thought, Po could be seen trailing behind his prince with a look of astonishment and pride written all over his face.

From the look of things, his prince was definitely maturing with every passing day, and he felt so happy and proud to be serving under him.

In fact, Po understood the logic behind Austin disguising himself in front of the three inspectors.

This was because, in his report, he had written about the sketchy things he had witnessed happening in the estate that were definitely caused by the inspectors.

He also detailed how much he believed those inspectors were earning from their greed. So he knew Austin had taken note of all these before deciding to meet with the inspectors, while disguised as Sir Charles.

His decision to do this was certainly approved by the wise eunuch because if Austin had appeared as the fourth prince, the inspectors would have definitely hidden their true nature from him.

But since he had appeared as Sir Charles, the inspectors had let down their guard because they had viewed the fourth prince's consultant as a neutral outsider with no ties to the throne, thereby making them feel relaxed and confident enough to speak greedily, arrogantly, and without restraint.

It also gave Austin the chance to see if any of them were worthy of becoming a future ally.

But with what he had witnessed today, Po was certain that the fourth prince definitely had no intention of making any of the three greedy idiots his subordinate, let alone his ally.

However, Po would have preferred it if Austin had somehow devised a way to obtain all the riches the three inspectors had stolen from the people.

It would have been better if they had not been allowed to go scot-free; instead, they could carry out an ambush where they would then steal all the riches the inspectors had accumulated during their time in the estate.

Nevertheless, Po was still pleased with how Austin had handled the situation of the inspectors, and now the young prince could focus on more important matters.

Meanwhile, Sana clenched her fist as she trailed behind her prince.

She still recalled how the inspectors had openly disrespected her beloved prince, and how Delong had even tried to harm him.

What a foolishly brave man he was.

Sana couldn't help but regret not breaking one or two of his limbs.

"If His Highness hadn't stopped me at the time, I would have crushed every single bone in those worms with my Tonfa," Sana muttered under her breath, making sure no one else could hear her.

Being a Second Order Exorcist, Sana was confident in her strength and knew that she could easily handle both Royce and Skye on her own.

Even though Delong was a Second Order Exorcist like her, her years of experience despite being of the same rank as him made her certain that she could definitely beat him in a fight.

She was prepared to do anything for her prince, and she wasn't going to allow a group of greedy individuals to harm him.

But while her thoughts were preoccupied with this, Sana suddenly felt Austin patting the top of her head.

She stiffened and her ears and tail rose straight up.

She swiftly turned toward Austin, wondering why he was patting her head, but when her eyes made contact with his, she noticed a warm smile on his lips as he opened his mouth to speak.

"Thank you, Sana. For standing up for me."

Austin had thanked her because she was the first person to have ever done that for him, and he was really touched by what she did.

Meanwhile, Sana was rendered speechless because she hadn't expected him to thank her for what she did.

Her cheeks instantly turned red, her tail began to swish sideways like an excited little puppy's, and her hands gripped the hem of her uniform.

'His Highness is thanking me for what I did.'

'Ah~ am I dreaming?'

'I can't believe he would thank me for what I did.'

'I knew it!!'

'His Highness is definitely the best prince in the world.'

'I love him!!' Sana squealed internally as she made a silent vow to protect Austin for as long as she lived.

After all, he had now become her perfect prince, and a maid must be prepared to do anything for her prince, so that she would be seen as a perfect maid in his eyes as well.

These were the thoughts spiraling around her mind as she beamed quietly behind him.

But then, the guest room door creaked open behind her, forcing her to turn around, along with Austin and Po.

Royce stepped out of the room and his robe swayed behind him as he swiftly approached Austin with a composed and determined look on his face.

"Sir Charles, a word, if you please."

Austin's forehead creased but he replied. "Of course."

Po and Sana exchanged glances as they wondered what the fool wanted now, so they listened to what he had to say.

Royce cleared his throat and got straight to the point. "I understand that His Highness wishes us to return to the capital, and I respect that… but before we go, I would like you to please reconsider what we discussed."

"Go on."

Royce lowered his voice as he stepped closer to Austin. "Think about it, Sir Charles. Thirty thousand gold coins for the seeds, the recipe for the juice, and the location where these wonderful fruits are grown sounds like a really good deal, don't you think?"
