These were the thoughts running through the minds of the twins as they watched their father step into the room.

Even Elena and the maids couldn't believe what they were seeing.

Not once had the Lord of the house smiled like that at anyone who wasn't his wife or daughters.

Meanwhile, Lord Han tried not to pay attention to the several pairs of eyes that were on him.

Instead, he approached the table where the juice was laid out and his nostrils flared like a hungry tiger when he caught a whiff of the juice's aroma.

Seeing this, Austin smiled as he slowly stood up from his seat to hand his father-in-law a cup.

Without hesitating, Lord Han strode forward and accepted the cup from his son-in-law before taking a sip.

Then his eyes went wide and his pointy ears twitched like that of an excited child.

"By the heavens, what is this?"

"Fruit juice, you want more?" Austin asked with a grin.

"Definitely." Lord Han swiftly reached forward for a second cup, then he sighed contentedly after taking a second sip of the juice.

"Ahh~ This is really good. You made this?" He asked Austin.

"Yeah, with the help of some maids."

"Amazing.... simply amazing. I never knew my son-in-law was this amazing."

"Father-in-law is too kind."

Lord Han cackled out loud before slinging one arm around Austin's shoulder as they clinked their cups together. "This.... This right here makes up for any headache you've given me before today."

"Then, I'll take that as a compliment," Austin said with a smirk as he slung his arm around Lord Han's neck as well.

The two of them clinked their cups once again and laughed heartily as they drank side by side like old friends who hadn't seen each other for years.

Meanwhile, the ladies who were watching this series of events unfold before them had their jaws hanging cutely as they witnessed both Austin and his father-in-law enjoying themselves as though they were the only ones in the room.

Even Lina and Mira exchanged looks of complete shock before returning their gaze back to their father and husband who were laughing with their arms around each other like they were war buddies.

But after a while, Lord Han couldn't stand all the eyes boring into him, so he chuckled and grabbed one of the large jars.

"Hehe~ Don't mind me, I'm just taking this to my room, that's all."

Seeing this, Elena couldn't help but chuckle at how cute her husband looked right now.

"Save one for me, dear." She said as she hurried over to her husband, but not before she also picked up her own jar with a cute smile on her lips. "Ufufufu-- I deserve a reward too for raising two beautiful daughters, don't I?"

"Indeed you do." Lord Han agreed and both of them turned around to face Austin.

Although he was currently staying as a guest in their house, Lord Han and Elena knew that Austin had the final say on whether they could take the jar or not.

Hence why they were waiting for him to say something about the jars they were taking away, but Austin simply responded with a nod.

Seeing this, the two smiled even more before turning towards the exit, but Lina and Mira weren't going to let them leave so soon, especially their father.

He had a lot of explaining to do, so the twins grabbed a jar and trailed behind their father, eager to hear how he had bonded with their husband.

Meanwhile, Sue and Lily also took one jar which they would both share, and Austin allowed the maids to share two jars.

The maids squealed like excited schoolgirls before gathering around the two jars to share it amongst themselves.

Seeing that almost everyone had left the room except Sana and Mae, who were also sharing a jar, Austin thought it would be fair to allow the guards and Eunuch Po to share a jar as well.

But while he was thinking about this, he suddenly felt a quiet presence step up behind him.

"Your Highness." A familiar voice emerged from behind him and Austin turned around to see Eunuch Po bowing slightly before him.

"Eunuch Po, you're here. That's great. I was just about to ask a maid to bring this juice over to you."

Po glanced over at the juice, whose aroma had filled up the room, but he wasn't interested in it right now.

"Thank you so much, Your Highness, but there's something important you need to know."

"What is it?"

"The Imperial Oversight Team is here and they would like to speak with you."

"They're here?"

"Yes, Your Highness. They arrived just now. Would you like to meet with them or should I ---."

"No, it's fine. I'll speak with them. I'd like to know exactly why they're here." Austin replied and Po nodded in understanding.

Although he would have preferred it if Austin had delayed the meeting with the inspectors a little, but since the prince had decided to see them, Po decided to respect the prince's decision.

And so, Austin turned to leave the room, but before he did, he told Sana to follow him.

Po followed them as well, but as they walked together, Austin's mind drifted off to what his father-in-law had warned him about last night.

The Imperial Oversight Team wasn't to be trusted.

This meant that even though they were supposed to be working for the emperor, not all of them were loyal to the crown.

Thinking about this, Austin recalled what he had noticed from Po and Sue's report last night.

It turned out that part of the reason why the people within his new territory were suffering, was due to these inspectors.

Although he wasn't sure who among them could be trusted, the only thing he could think of right now was to send them all the way back to the imperial city... If possible.

But doing that was not as easy as it sounded.

"Eunuch Po."

"Yes, Your Highness?" Po hastened his pace to step closer to Austin.

"I need you to do something for me."
