Immortal God of War

Chapter 466 Dong Zhengyang_1

The Hall Master said, "If there's nothing else, you may all leave."

"We take our leave."

The Ten Great Commanders bowed and then turned to depart.

Qin Feiyang sent Lo Qianxue and Lin Yiyi into the castle.

But just then, Yan Nanshan appeared out of thin air. Leaning close to Qin Feiyang's ear, he whispered, "Aside from a few house servants and the young ones playing outside, everyone else is dead."

Qin Feiyang asked, "The nine Clan Elders are dead too?"

Yan Nanshan nodded. "Yes, not a single survivor. We can't even find their bodies."

"So there's really no other way?" Qin Feiyang murmured, a look of unwillingness in his eyes.

"What are you two whispering about?" The Hall Master looked at them suspiciously.

Yan Nanshan said, "Sir, Qin Feiyang just asked me to check if there were any survivors from the Dong Family."

The Hall Master asked, "Were there any?"

The Ten Great Commanders also stopped, turning to look at Yan Nanshan.

Yan Nanshan was about to say no.

But at that moment, a glint flashed in Qin Feiyang's eyes. "There's a survivor!"

"Huh?" Everyone looked at him, surprised and suspicious. A flicker of suspicion also crossed Yan Nanshan's eyes.

Wang Hong asked, "Who?"

"The Second Clan Elder of the Dong Family," Qin Feiyang said, looking at the Ten Great Commanders and emphasizing every word.

"He's alive?"

"That's great!"

"He must know the identity of that mysterious War Ancestor!"

"Where is he now?"

The Ten Great Commanders were all overjoyed.

Qin Feiyang was clearly bluffing, but the results were already in: he had failed. This was because the expressions of the ten men showed nothing unusual.

Should I give up?

No! The White-Eyed Wolf had nearly died because of this; he couldn't just let it go!

Qin Feiyang turned to Yan Nanshan and smiled. "Uncle Yan, where did you put the Second Clan Elder?"

"This..." Yan Nanshan glanced at the Hall Master and the others, hesitating. He didn't know what Qin Feiyang was up to, so naturally, he didn't know how to answer.

"Don't worry, everyone here is one of us. No information will be leaked," Qin Feiyang chuckled. As he spoke, he discreetly gave Yan Nanshan a meaningful look.

What on earth is this brat scheming? Yan Nanshan was full of doubts, but he couldn't show it now; he had to play along. But how should I play along?

Suddenly, his eyes lit up. Ah, so this brat is setting up a smokescreen to lure the snake out of its hole!

Having figured it out, Yan Nanshan knew what to do. He cupped his hands and said, "Replying to the Hall Master, although the Second Clan Elder isn't dead, he is gravely injured and currently unconscious."

"Good!" The Hall Master was overjoyed and asked, "Does anyone else know?"

"No," Yan Nanshan said. "When I found him, there was no one else around. So I secretly moved him to the Holy Temple and placed him in my private chamber."

The Hall Master said, "Well done. This matter must be kept secret. Otherwise, if that mysterious War Ancestor gets word, they will definitely find a chance to silence him."

Wang Hong suggested, "Why don't we just move him to the Hall Master's residence? That way, even if that person gets wind of it, they wouldn't dare act rashly."

"I disagree," Qin Feiyang said.

Wang Hong frowned. "Qin Feiyang, what do you mean? Don't you even trust the Hall Master?"

Qin Feiyang replied, "It's not that I don't trust him. It's because that person is too formidable. If we're talking about true safety, my castle is the most secure place."

"Yes, keep him in your castle," the Hall Master instructed. "Once he wakes up, bring him to me immediately. This is our only lead; we absolutely cannot afford any mistakes."

"I understand," Qin Feiyang nodded.

The Hall Master waved his hand. "You may all disperse!"

Qin Feiyang turned to Yan Nanshan. "Uncle Yan, let's go to your chamber immediately."

Yan Nanshan opened a gateway. Qin Feiyang also sent Wei Zhongyang into the castle.

Then, the two of them entered one after the other.

「A moment later, they appeared in a chamber.」

Yan Nanshan immediately asked, "Feiyang, are you sure it's one of the Ten Great Commanders?"

"I'm sure," Qin Feiyang nodded.

Yan Nanshan frowned. "Will he take the bait?"

"He definitely will," Qin Feiyang smirked.

Yan Nanshan said, "If he does, you could be in danger."

Qin Feiyang said, "As long as we can lure him out, I don't care how dangerous it is. However, we need to plan meticulously now; there can be absolutely no more mistakes."

"Tell me your plan," Yan Nanshan said. "I'll cooperate fully."

Qin Feiyang said, "Cunning people are usually very suspicious. His first step will undoubtedly be to go to the Dong Family's estate to verify things."

Yan Nanshan said, "You can rest assured about that. I've already confirmed; not even a single strand of hair was left behind."

"In that case, he'll surely believe it," Qin Feiyang said. "The second step will be to try and kill me! But before he does that, he'll definitely first confirm whether there are any War Ancestors hidden in the castle, including you."

Yan Nanshan frowned. "If I don't protect you secretly and he attacks you, wouldn't you be doomed?"

Qin Feiyang said, "So, I must find a War Ancestor to hide within the castle."

"What about Fan Jian?" Yan Nanshan asked.

"No." Qin Feiyang shook his head. "I mentioned Fan Jian earlier. The mysterious War Ancestor will definitely be keeping an eye on his movements."

Yan Nanshan frowned. "Then who exactly should we find?"

Qin Feiyang said, "None of the current War Ancestors in State City are suitable. However, I can cultivate a few new War Ancestors myself."

Yan Nanshan's eyes lit up, and he smiled. "That's right! You have Nine-Bend Yellow Dragon Pills. Cultivating a few War Ancestors will be a piece of cake for you. But I must remind you: you have to cultivate people you can trust."

"I know that." Qin Feiyang nodded. He pondered for a moment, a glint flashing in his eyes. "I've thought of someone."

"Who?" Yan Nanshan asked.

"Someone I don't fully trust, but with whom I can still cooperate." Qin Feiyang smiled, opened a portal, and appeared above the Inner Temple.

"It's Qin Feiyang!"

"That scourge is back again!"

Upon seeing Qin Feiyang, the disciples in the various squares felt their pupils constrict, and they couldn't help but whisper amongst themselves.

Qin Feiyang ignored them and flew straight towards the Cultivation Hall.

SWOOSH!

A man in purple robes flew into the air, blocking Qin Feiyang's path. He said indifferently, "Qin Feiyang, shouldn't you be returning to the Elixir Fire Palace? What are you doing here?"

Qin Feiyang raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you overstepping your bounds? Does the Inner Temple belong to you? Do I need to report my whereabouts to you?"

The person blocking his way was the Hall Master of the Martial Palace. Qin Feiyang had disliked him for a long time, so naturally, his expression wasn't pleasant.

"What's going on?"

"He's not going to start a fight with the Hall Master, is he?"

"Hard to say. That scourge fears nothing; there's nothing he wouldn't dare to do."

The disciples below whispered among themselves.

The Martial Palace Hall Master's face darkened. "What kind of attitude is that?"

"A respectful attitude is reserved for those who deserve it," Qin Feiyang said. "As for someone like you, who pointlessly stirs up trouble, the very fact that I'm standing here speaking to you should be considered more than enough courtesy."

Qin Feiyang gave him a dismissive glance, flew straight past the Martial Palace Hall Master, and entered the Cultivation Hall without a backward look.

"Insolent cur!" the Martial Palace Hall Master roared in anger. "I'm going to report this to the Chief Hall Master and have him teach you a proper lesson!" Furious, he opened a portal and swiftly departed.

「On the first floor of the Cultivation Hall.」

Qin Feiyang walked down a long corridor. Any disciple who saw him immediately ducked into a cultivation room. It was as if they had seen a demon.

Qin Feiyang frowned. He executed the Phantom Step and grabbed the arm of a disciple who was just about to dive into a cultivation room.

The disciple was immediately terrified and pleaded, "Senior Brother Qin, I have no grievance with you! Please don't kill me!"

"Er..." Qin Feiyang was stunned, then gave a wry smile. "I'm not some homicidal maniac. Is this really necessary?"

"Then... what do you want?" the disciple asked in panic.

Qin Feiyang inquired, "Which cultivation room is Dong Zhengyang in?"

"Number Two," the disciple blurted out without a second thought.

SWOOSH! Qin Feiyang immediately accelerated, heading straight for the courtyard.

After Qin Feiyang left, a group of people immediately surrounded the disciple. "What did he ask you?"

The disciple said, "He was asking about Senior Brother Dong Zhengyang."

"What?"

"Don't tell me he's going after Senior Brother Dong Zhengyang as well?"

Everyone was startled and puzzled.

Arriving at the bottom of the courtyard, Qin Feiyang leaped to the highest level. He glanced at the numbers on the stone doors and walked directly to the door of cultivation room Number One. He knocked firmly on the door.

Before long, the stone door opened, and a young man entered Qin Feiyang's sight. This man was about 1.8 meters tall, with a rather sturdy build, dressed in a fitted black robe, his dense black hair falling over his shoulders. His eyes, like black gems, exuded a sense of wildness.

However, Qin Feiyang noticed that the man's eyes were somewhat red and swollen, and an air of unresolved sorrow clung to him.

It seems he already knows what happened earlier.

"What are you here for?" Dong Zhengyang asked, his voice deep and husky.

Qin Feiyang said, "Aren't you going to invite me in?"

"You're not welcome," Dong Zhengyang stated coldly and prepared to close the door.

Qin Feiyang placed his hand on the stone door. "Don't you want to avenge your father, your ancestors, and all those of your clan who have died?" he asked lightly.

Dong Zhengyang gritted his teeth. "I do, but I know I can't kill you now."

Qin Feiyang shook his head. "I had assumed our enemy was the same person. It turns out you consider *me* your enemy. Fine. In that case, just pretend I was never here." After saying this, Qin Feiyang turned to leave.

Dong Zhengyang stood at the door, his gaze flickering indecisively. "Come in," he said.

Qin Feiyang paused, then turned back and walked into the cultivation room.

Dong Zhengyang closed the stone door behind them. "You want to cooperate with me?" he asked.

"Correct," Qin Feiyang said. "While the Dong Family's current predicament is indeed somewhat related to me, the mysterious War Ancestor is the true culprit. My original intention was only to drive your Dong Family out of State City. I never harbored the intent to annihilate your clan, as I did with the Lu Family."

Dong Zhengyang said, "There's no point in saying all this now. Just get straight to the point: how do we cooperate?"

Qin Feiyang's gaze suddenly became incredibly sharp, like honed blades. "I will help you break through to the War Ancestor realm—and I mean immediately. Then, we will join forces to lure out that mysterious War Ancestor."

"War Ancestor!" Dong Zhengyang's eyes trembled.
