Surviving These Unfair Scenarios [LITRPG - DIMENSION HOPPING]

Chapter 244 - Total War Part 3

The destruction of the Eternity robot by the strategic sabotage of Charles and alter Kazue immediately caused the battle area to revert to its natural state. The augmented gravity ceased its crushing influence, and both alter Adam and the remnants of his RedBrood army were able to move again. The patched boy began to gasp sharply, the physical effort required to resist the crushing gravitational force while simultaneously sustaining the life of all his monsters having been immense.

However, the time everyone had spent paralyzed by the gravity was immediately exploited by the Automaton Legion. All the remaining robots had instantly resumed their attack, severely reducing the number of RedBrood monsters to less than half their original number. However, the monstrous forces were still extremely numerous, and the war between the two proxy armies instantly reignited, with the RedBrood spores beginning to generate more creatures once again.

Alter Adam immediately snapped his gaze toward the location where alter Kazue had achieved the destruction of the formidable robot. Without losing a second, he screamed a command.

"The core! Take the core!"

He yelled, the sound of his voice tearing through the din of the renewed battle with a harsh, undeniable urgency. The boy did not know how they had managed to destroy the powerful robot so easily, but he knew they could not allow that tactical opportunity to be wasted… During his decisive struggle against Gilgamesh, he had learned that absolutely all of the enemy's creations possessed a core in the chest, and this core possessed an insidious, self-repairing mechanism that would allow it to automatically and rapidly regenerate its mechanical physical form from nothing if it was not completely and utterly pulverized.

Alter Kazue heard the command amidst her descent, and while still airborne, she plunged her hand into the floating wreckage of Eternity. With immense force, she extracted a damaged, sparking orb—the very core of the robot. Alter Adam, watching this crucial asset secured by his ally, felt a fraction of the tension release from his chest, allowing him to breathe a little easier… The immediate threat of instantaneous self-repair was momentarily neutralized.

On the ground, alter Katya had also risen, quickly moving toward alter Adam's position. Once she reached him, she renewed her concern for his health.

"That was a harsh attack, leader. Are you truly well?"

Alter Katya asked, her voice filled with worry. The patched boy simply told her that he was fine.

"I'm fine… It was just weird."

He said, clearly referencing that it had not been as devastating as it should have been.

"Truly! That was very strange… Was that really one of Gilgamesh's creations?"

Alter Katya commented, analyzing the combat results. She still vividly remembered the visceral, destructive power possessed by the legendary inventor's armaments and robotic units during their previous conflicts, particularly the devastating intensity of the war against Eden, where even the strongest Generals of Team Abyss, powerful entities in their own right, had been grievously injured, and even two of them had been killed.

"It is strange, especially coming from Rank S creations. I can only think of one reason: the opponent we are currently fighting is not the true Gilgamesh, or at least, not entirely the original."

Alter Adam explained his deduction, his eyes narrowed in suspicion.

"The original creations appear to obey him, but they are not exerting their maximum power. This is common for S-class treasures when the user is not strong enough to unlock their full potential. Which makes it clear that the Gilgamesh we are facing, whether a clone, an imitation, or something similar, does not possess the same original power, and this weakness is negatively affecting the destructive output and durability of his creations."

Following that critical deduction, alter Katya looked up, seeing alter Kazue still descending with the captured core in her hand. If their leader was right, then perhaps they had a chance after all.

However, before alter Kazue could touch the ground, a blinding flash of light tore across the battlefield. The movement was so fast that only alter Adam was capable of seeing it and reacting, though due to the distance, the only thing he could manage was a surprised shout.

"Hey!"

Alter Adam roared the warning. By the time the floating girl turned her head, it was already too late. A ferocious kick struck her directly in the ribs, sending her diagonally toward the ground with such force she looked like a crashing missile, all while the newly arrived figure effortlessly snatched the core of Eternity from her hands.

The figure paused, floating briefly with the core in hand. This was 'Mecha Sung Ja-In', the Rank A+ robot, a creation of Sebastian modeled after the deceased Sung Ja-In, but with a core potentiated by the energy of Lord Varek.

Alter Adam immediately tried to attack, launching another massive blast of Devilish Energy using his skill [Evil Maw's Roar]. However, Mecha Sung Ja-In, instead of defending, simply executed a kick in the air and propelled himself away, moving at immense speed to distance himself from the enemy.

The boy instantly understood the strategy: the robot intended to buy time while the core regenerated, something he could not afford to let happen. He issued a mental command to all his RedBrood monsters to prioritize attacking the robot the moment they saw it, while he tried to locate it with his eyes. However, this was impossible in his current weakened state.

Yet, alter Katya spoke, providing the critical solution.

"Leader, I managed to mark the target with [Lock On] before it left!"

She instructed, her eyes still trained on the direction of the robot's departure.

"So, I can use the skill [Unfair Picker Wheel]!"

Alter Adam clenched his teeth in frustration, but admitted it was their only option.

"It is the most we can do right now… Do it now."

He commanded, the words clipped and final, a painful acceptance of their dependency on chance. With that green light, alter Katya instantly activated her skill, and a colossal roulette wheel bearing the face of Mecha Sung Ja-In appeared above them.

"Chance time!"

She screamed before spinning the wheel with all her might.

Meanwhile, Mecha Sung Ja-In had begun traversing the battlefield like a guided missile, destroying every monster that crossed its path. It moved with extreme ease, kicking and using Ki blasts to obliterate its enemies. It effortlessly crushed Arachnid-types, tore the wings from several Flying Giant-types, and vaporized the heads of multiple Brute-types with targeted Ki Blasts, serving as effective support for the Automaton Legion while avoiding capture.

However, after a few moments, the robot's body was enveloped in a red, crackling aura, forcing it to stop. Mecha Sung Ja-In tried to analyze the phenomenon but could not recognize the energy that covered it. Immediately, a message appeared over its head saying, "Loser!" in large, yellow neon letters.

The strange, sparkling energy then instantly dissipated, leaving the robot entirely untouched, physically, but with one critical change: the Eternity core was no longer present in its metallic hand. Mecha Sung Ja-In stood immobile for a moment, its red eyes scanning the immediate area with the mechanical uncertainty of a system error, before its synthesised, robotic voice finally broke the silence.

"Error, error."

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

The machine stated, its internal logic circuits struggling to process the impossible, randomized theft, until its advanced sensors finally registered the destination of the stolen object far in the distance, where alter Adam stood.

Far away, the patched boy raised his right hand, and the stolen core materialized in his grasp thanks to alter Katya's skill. Alter Adam laughed at the immense stroke of luck, and using all his monstrous strength, he crushed the core with a grip imbued with powerful Devilish Energy, utterly destroying the Eternity core completely this time, ensuring that the self-repair function was irreversibly deactivated, ending the threat of the massive mech forever.

However, the second the core dissolved into dust, a sudden, piercing warning shrieked from alter Katya.

"Watch out!"

She screamed, her attention having been entirely focused on the sudden, terrifying momentum of a new threat that had emerged from the battle haze. Alter Adam reacted instinctively, spinning and crossing his arms in a desperate, last-second attempt to defend against a truly ferocious punch delivered by Falk, encased in the Battlerizer Suit.

The impact was not just a hit, but an explosion of contained, kinetic force, so devastating that the mere resulting shockwave was enough to violently sweep alter Katya's body away from the immediate impact zone, throwing her many meters away like a discarded ragdoll, while the direct blow, heavily enhanced and powered by the core atomic generators of Falk's massive battle armor, proved to be far too much for the already critically weakened and surgically compromised body of alter Adam, who had only moments before been straining against the gravity field.

Though the Abyss leader managed, through sheer force of will and a desperate influx of devilish power, to hold his ground for a fleeting moment, a terrifying fraction of a second that spoke volumes about his innate physical resilience, his crossed arms failed spectacularly, their structural integrity completely compromised, and with a sickening, brutal sound of snapping cartilage and fracturing bone, his forearms ceded entirely, leaving them twisted and broken, a catastrophic physical injury that finally forced him to abandon his defensive posture.

Alter Adam could only grit his teeth and curse under his breath before he, too, was launched backward with overwhelming force, destroying absolutely everything in his path, reducing both his own RedBrood monsters and several units of the Automaton Legion to ashes just by touching them.

But the assault from Sebastian's forces did not end there. Mecha Sung Ja-In immediately launched himself into the sky like a rocket, calculating the trajectory of alter Adam's airborne body, and then dove in a descending arc, fiercely intercepting him mid-air with a kick while the patched boy was still reeling from the previous blow, slamming him into the ground so violently that it created another enormous crater.

Alter Adam screamed in raw, unfiltered agony as the double impact tore through his already-shattered skeletal structure and ruptured organs, violently spitting large quantities of thick, black-tinged blood from his mouth, his consciousness teetering precariously on the edge of oblivion.

He knew with absolute certainty that his body was rapidly reaching its functional limit under this sustained, brutal assault, but the deeply ingrained, primal refusal to yield that defined his existence instantly resurfaced, driving him forward… Surrender was never an option, and losing was not even a concept he allowed his mind to entertain.

Mecha Sung Ja-In leaped from the impact site, allowing alter Adam a moment to try and rise, only to realize he was suddenly beneath a massive shadow. He looked up, only to witness a massive, dark metallic plate descending with terrifying speed.

A gigantic robot, larger than the StarSuit and the size of a massive skyscraper, appeared and crushed alter Adam with one of its immense feet. The impact was so heavy that it caused a massive seismic event across the surrounding terrain.

In the command center of that enormous colossus, Sebastian sat, managing the robot called 'Sea Knight', the very machine he had modified with Isaac and Thaddeus Volta.

"It truly appears that everything is proceeding exactly according to the secondary plan that the WarWorld mentally transmitted to me, which is a great relief."

His voice resonated with a mixture of pragmatic success and deep, underlying sadness. He was momentarily overwhelmed by the necessary casualties incurred in their desperate counter-offensive, which had required the calculated sacrifice of two of the sentient robots that had come to help.

"Yet, I cannot help but feel a profound sorrow over the sheer recklessness that forced us to lose two of Gilgamesh's precious creations."

'The_Absolute_Thinkerer' immediately spoke to him, attempting to soothe the old man's profound regret over the mechanical losses.

"Do not worry about that. It pains me too that Gilgamesh's creations were destroyed that way, but it was inevitable."

The synthesized voice of the collective entity advised, carrying a tone of quiet, shared sympathy

"Not only were they all quite damaged from the previous war against Abyss, but without the presence of their original creator, they could not display their maximum power."

Sebastian nodded slowly in grim understanding, the weight of the tactical necessity settling upon him… He could, through one of his titles, hear the collective voices of every single robot and creation that had rallied to their defense, a chorus of mechanical loyalty that transcended mere programming, confirming that they all desperately desired to avenge their beloved creator, Gilgamesh, fighting with every ounce of their processing power and physical might, even knowing that their own destruction was the most likely outcome.

He even recalled the selfless function of the StarSuit Orion, which had played its final, critical role as a decoy, having generated a complete copy of himself as a dummy pilot to draw the attention of alter Adam as a vital component of the necessary, successful plan.

Falk and Mecha Sung Ja-In flew quickly to position themselves near the cockpit.

"You have done an excellent job, as always."

Sebastian said, a touch of genuine warmth returning to his voice, his affection for his mechanical companions palpable.

"Now, all that remains is to finish off the remnants of the monster army and capture the remaining members of Team Abyss to bring this conflict to an end."

However, on the ground, beneath the gigantic foot of the colossal robot, alter Katya was running at full speed, her face consumed by despair.

"Leader! Leader!"

Seeing her leader crushed in such a brutal manner, she screamed, just before reaching the base of one of the robot's massive feet. However, she knew nothing she could do would move the colossal machine.

It was precisely at that moment of agonizing hopelessness that a sharp, urgent mental message pierced her spiraling despair. It was a mental message from Charles that reached her.

"We have no option! We must force the release of the leader's seal; it is the only way to save him!"

The voice of Charles insisted, his tone strained but fiercely rational. Alter Katya responded with horror.

"We cannot do that! Our leader's body is not in a state to withstand so much power!"

Charles shouted back, his mental voice rising to a frantic pitch of cold, pragmatic fury.

"If we do nothing, his body will be destroyed by those robotic aberrations anyway!"

Alter Katya bit her lips so hard they bled, but finally she accessed the plan.

Channeling their combined energy with a focused, desperate synchronicity, the two Abyss users, alter Katya and Charles, simultaneously generated a massive, expanding circle of pure, absolute black energy, a colossal shadow that spread out from the ground beneath the Sea Knight's crushing foot, consuming the immediate area like an enormous, projected darkness cast by the metallic giant.

Immediately following the energy release, a glowing System window materialized above the spreading black energy, visible only to the users, confirming the terrifying process that was now being initiated:

[The user Charles Hong has utilized the skill [Supreme Devil Release Lv9] to force the liberation of the seal on the user Adam Scholar.] [The user Katya Nakamura has utilized the skill [Unsealing Lv9] to force the liberation of the seal on the user Adam Scholar.] [...] [Success!] [Warning: The [Seal of Eternal Submission Lv15] has been weakened.] [The entity [Supreme Archdevil Malzaphir: Architect of Lies – Rank S+] has been partially liberated through the body of the user Adam Scholar] [The effect of the skill [Seal of Eternal Submission Lv15] is still in effect. Total control of the entity provided to the user Adam Scholar]

Sebastian, preoccupied with the final directives he was issuing to Falk and Mecha Sung Ja-In, was just preparing to move the gigantic 'Sea Knight' for the final sweep of the battlefield when he suddenly felt the entire building-sized robot shudder violently, a sensation akin to an entire mountain shaking. And before the old man could even begin to process the feedback or react to the unexpected, colossal force, the immense, entire body of the 'Sea Knight' was seized and violently launched sideways, tossed aside with effortless ease by an equally gigantic, impossibly strong, shadow-black arm that erupted from the massive black circle beneath the mech's foot… A terrifying entity was now emerging from the darkness.

A powerful, grave voice, resonating with a deep and utterly mocking tone, bellowed across the entire war-torn plain, originating from the enormous, shadowed entity that was now slowly, grandiosely emerging from the black circle, the voice of the partially released Archdevil, Malzaphir, speaking through the shattered physical form of Adam, the host who had subdued the enormous power of a divine entity like him, and that now was in control.
