The cosmic plain remained scarred by the remnants of the catastrophic exchange, but the three users of 'No Name' stood firm, miraculously healed and ready for the impossible.
Drake and Kazue positioned themselves alongside Adam, who, though surprised that his two companions had manifested such overwhelming, sudden power, could not suppress a faint smile. Meanwhile, the girl appeared utterly euphoric, her eyes gleaming with manic excitement.
"This is, by far, the most epic thing I have ever lived through in my entire life!"
Kazue exclaimed, dropping the fire sword to release Dora.
"A true triple standoff against an otherworldly final villain!"
Drake smiled faintly as well, though his expression was more focused and serious.
"Do you have a plan, Adam?"
He asked, hoping for something to work with.
"Not a real plan per se."
Adam admitted, his voice crisp and clear now that his body was healed.
"It is obvious that my counterpart is extremely powerful, and his Personal Skill allows him to use others he has murdered, so we must assume his entire arsenal is vastly potent."
He explained with a rush but clear enunciation.
"However, we do not need to defeat him to win... The effect of the Plot Device I used earlier, the 'Wonky Portal Network', is still active; it was only stopped by the effect of one of the skills the other Adam has active. We do not need to actually defeat him, only force that skill to deactivate, and there are several ways to achieve that. The most obvious one being: inflicting sufficient damage, as maintaining such a powerful skill must be costing him an enormous amount of energy."
Kazue and Drake nodded, accepting the impossible objective. Immediately, the three young users rose into the desolate sky. Adam ascended by invoking spectral wings that resembled the powerful, tattered wings of a demon, Drake invoked shimmering wings of pure divine energy that twisted like potent, flowing tentacles, and Kazue simply walked in the air as if it were a solid, invisible platform.
"Since we have the numerical advantage, the safest course of action would be to try and overwhelm our opponent with even more reinforcements."
Adam suggested speaking to Drake.
"It would be wise if you could summon some of your companions from Murim."
However, Drake immediately shook his head, refusing the aid with profound certainty.
"I cannot. The Moderator Role I have now allows me to know the precise functioning and limits of my skills, and I know none of my invocations would serve us because they are not in this universe, so they won't be able to come."
The blond stated the limitation with regret. Kazue immediately confirmed the same issue with her abilities.
"It's the same for me; it would be impossible for me to call Kurayami… However, if what Adam wants is to increase our numbers, I can certainly help with that. I just need you both to buy me some time."
Adam instantly grasped the reality of their situation. Unlike his companions, the reason he could still use his summons was that his entities resided within him and did not need to be invoked from another plane. This was likely the reason why the goddess Arianka had not responded to his call either. He then nodded, accepting the stark limitations.
"Then understand that what we are about to do is quite possibly the most dangerous thing we have ever attempted."
Adam stated the risk with complete seriousness.
"I wish you both profound luck."
The seriousness of his words was met with an entirely unexpected, lighthearted action. Both Kazue and Drake immediately delivered a small, comforting slap to the back of his head, all while smiling broadly at him. Adam, though utterly surprised by the familiarity, could not help but smile back.
It was illogical; they were facing a completely unfavourable situation with no guarantee of success, yet he could not help but share the moment of warmth with his two companions. It was curious, and entirely necessary.
Adam raised one of his arms and pointed the extended palm forward, directing the order to his waiting summons.
"Charge!"
Adam commanded his forces.
The 'Cursed Emperor of Envy' launched itself forward at full, terrifying speed, followed by Abbess, who now flew with her newly revealed skeletal wings. They were followed by the powerful movements of the gigantic Demon-Type, which, though slow, caused a minor earthquake with every powerful step despite being an ethereal entity.
Kazue and Drake also surged forward, while Adam advanced more cautiously. His intention was not to engage his counterpart in close quarters because he knew his duty was to maintain a precise, calculated distance.
Meanwhile, alter Adam watched the deployment with mild interest. Until this point, he had not considered the other Adam or his team to be a genuine threat under any circumstances, and based on their current display of power, he still found the threat minimal. However, he had to admit they were stronger than he had originally anticipated.
His idea remained clear: to test the true limits they possessed and gain an accurate measure of the power they could aspire to reach when the inevitable moment arrived and he needed to kill them all. Although if he could leave them with incurable wounds now, it would certainly not be a bad outcome either, since as long as they remained alive, the narrative would remain fixed, regardless of their condition.
A sadistic, predatory smile drew itself across his face just before alter Adam also launched himself like a rocket toward his enemies.
The ensuing confrontation was not a mere skirmish but a symphony of raw chaos, sheer power, and precise tactical coordination leveraged against the insurmountable, chilling wall of alter Adam's superior strength. The 'Cursed Emperor of Envy' led the vanguard of the assault, its unique, horrifying ability allowing it to utilise its power of precognition—seeing the immediate future and the past simultaneously through its twin-crowned heads—to block, parry, and deftly avoid the physical attacks of his opponent.
The Emperor moved with frightening, calculated efficiency, its four scythe-arms acting not as weapons but as strategic shields that mirrored alter Adam's intentions moments before he executed them. When the user feigned a jab towards the Emperor's central, flickering blue soul-flame, its lower right scythe-arm was already positioned across its chest, creating a metallic, ringing clang that violently dispelled the speed of alter Adam's fist. When the boy spun into a lightning-fast heel kick, the Emperor did not block the blow but shifted its body by a hair's breadth, causing the kick to pass through the space where its abdomen had been one millisecond prior.
The golden construct then unleashed its skill [Golden Bastion of Eternity Lv10], a ferocious, focused charge covered entirely in burning, solidified golden energy, that was akin to being struck by a colossal, speeding tank. The Emperor did not rush blindly but calculated its trajectory based on the invader's future movements. Alter Adam was denied the option to effortlessly sidestep the move because the massive charge filled his entire defensive radius. He was forced to abandon his agility, raising both his sutured arms and bracing his body completely to receive the full momentum directly. The resulting impact was a terrifying, shuddering thunderclap that momentarily froze the entire battle, throwing the rock dust outwards like shrapnel.
The Emperor managed to land the attack and force a profound, momentary reaction from the core of alter Adam's being, confirming that while the impact was absorbed, the strategic attack was successful. However, the devastating power of the Golden Bastion failed to inflict any true damage, leaving the invader standing firm, but the sheer force of the blow had bought the necessary second for the next wave of attack to coordinate.

Abbess fought alongside the 'Cursed Emperor of Envy' with great synergy. She was a master of martial arts, her attacks were a seamless blur of close-quarters combat, and now, her mutation granted her powers similar to Adam's parasite, allowing her body to shift and mutate mid-strike. She launched attacks where sharp tentacles shot out from her torso, and created massive fanged mouths on her hands to bite at alter Adam's exposed flesh. She used her skeletal wings as sharp, effective weapons as well, delivering piercing attacks from multiple angles.
At one point, she attempted to launch a curtain of infectious poison from a massive, mutated mouth, but alter Adam simply exhaled with such force that the venomous cloud was instantly dispersed. Like the Emperor, she landed numerous strikes, but none inflicted meaningful damage on the invader.
At the same time, the gigantic Demon-Type attacked continually, using its immense, building-sized body to try and crush alter Adam. However, the boy was far too fast, managing to evade every crushing stomp and fist by the narrowest of margins. Fortunately, the 'Cursed Emperor of Envy' and Abbess proved capable of coordinating their movements with the slow, massive Demon-Type, ensuring that its devastating, wide-area attacks did not harm them.
Not that far from there, Drake was in continuous movement, as he did not engage in close combat. Instead, he flew at supersonic speeds around the perimeter, utilising his [Techno Wisp] to re-fuse his [Thaddeus's Railgun Revolver] with his two legendary jade swords, creating a massive, single jade cannon. He began providing support fire, unleashing projectiles of pure Imperial Ki so powerful and swift they were completely invisible to the naked eye. The shots were extremely precise, carefully aimed to pass through the momentary openings between the chaotic movements of alter Adam and the skeleton, as well as Abbess, while attempting to wound him without harming the summoned entities.
However, alter Adam managed to defend against every single attack. He could feel every shot from Drake, which were delivered repeatedly throughout the extended engagement, and he dodged them by moving his body at the absolute last second. Each near-miss shot exploded far in the distance, striking the terrain with such power that they seemed capable of destroying mountains.
Despite the continuous, overwhelming assault, alter Adam showed no sign of faltering or injury, demonstrating that while his enemies were many and intensely coordinated, their power simply could not overcome his fundamental dominance. Nevertheless, alter Adam was forced to counterattack using his [RedBrood Colony Master] skill to manipulate his body in ways similar to Abbess, and although he landed strong attacks on his opponents, they instantly recovered from the impact. Despite the challenge, alter Adam appeared to be thoroughly enjoying the combat, his horrible smile never disappearing even while receiving powerful blows.
In the middle of the fight, Adam detected the necessary momentary shift in the chaos. He signalled the 'Ancient Ethernomicon', which instantly executed its skill [Let's make a death wish Lv10]. The humanoid orb appeared to extract a soul from its head, the motion resembling pulling a small, squirming fog-worm from its own crown before violently crushing it. This action caused alter Adam to feel a sharp, acute pain in his chest, and while the attack inflicted no lasting damage, the surprise was sufficient to freeze him for a crucial second, allowing the combined attacks of everyone else to connect completely.
The Cursed Emperor's [Golden Bastion of Eternity Lv10] landed dead centre this time, striking alter Adam and launching his body upward with brutal force. Abbess instantly capitalised on the launch, executing an instantaneous cutting technique, using her spiny wings as a multitude of deadly blades. Due to her martial proficiency, it was as if she had utilised multiple swords with perfect technique to create a multitude of deep cuts across her target, though the patched boy's body still resisted the cuts without bleeding.
Drake also seized his opportunity and finally landed three ferocious, focused shots directly into alter Adam's body. The invader withstood the impact, but for the first time, a small amount of blood was spat from his mouth, demonstrating the brutality of the combined blows. And finally, with alter Adam still airborne, the Demon-Type used its skill [Gigantiphage Annihilation Strike Lv10], a ferocious downward punch that impacted the target's body directly, slamming him into the rock with the force of a missile strike, creating a brutally strong, swirling shockwave and kicking up an enormous curtain of dust.
After that, Drake immediately flew back to Adam's side, hoping for the best… Could that barrage possibly have been enough? The question was instantly answered as the curtain of dust was dispersed by a secondary shockwave, revealing alter Adam standing upright, his arms raised and bracing against the colossal fist of the Demon-Type. The boy had withstood the impact with extraordinary, illogical strength, managing to halt the demon's momentum just above the ground. And even though he had a bloody nose, he stood with a wide smile, laughing loudly.
"That was much better!"
Alter Adam exclaimed with maniacal glee.
"But for entities in the Rank S threshold, you are still extremely weak."
Alter Adam was using his skill [Incarnation of the Living Planet] to generate an insane density within his own body, which, for all practical purposes, granted him a powerful strength similar to gravity itself. However, before he could make any offensive move, the earth beneath his feet suddenly moved as if a rug had been pulled out from beneath him, causing him to instantly lose his balance. Alter Adam, momentarily surprised, saw the ground, for a brief second, take on a strange, smiling face.
"What?"
Alter Adam asked in confusion.
With the sudden loss of balance, the Demon-Type was finally able to break the blockade and smash the guy's body directly into the ground with its fist. The immense ghost then withdrew its fist, revealing alter Adam's body bouncing from the impact. Immediately, the ground moved again, this time rising as if it were sand despite being solid rock, enveloping the other Adam and elevating him within a colossal tower made of rock.
"Good job, Gaia!"
Kazue shouted with praise, raising her arms excitedly. It seemed she had used her skill [Advance Soul Share] to give life to the earth itself beneath their feet. That was why she had needed time—to envelop and commandeer all the surrounding space, which resulted in several kilometers worth of earth becoming her new companion.
Even so, alter Adam did not remain imprisoned in the rock for long. He reacted quickly, laughing as he freed himself using only sheer physical strength; Abbess and the Cursed Emperor appeared immediately behind him, having anticipated his escape and ready to attack. However, the patched boy did not even appear worried. Using the skill [Incarnation of the Living Planet] again, he generated an intense gravitational field around himself, causing the bodies of the Abbess and the Cursed Emperor to instantly float, halting their momentum before they reached their target.
The Demon-Type, immune to the gravitational field, tried to attack again, but alter Adam opened his mouth and exclaimed a new skill.
"Evil Maw's Roar!"
He roared as he unleashed a ferocious and enormous beam of pure devilish energy from his mouth that impacted the ghost demon, forcing it backwards.
Drake quickly fired a couple more shots directly toward him, but the projectiles did not impact. Instead, the light of the shots seemed to be distorted and absorbed into a single point. Alter Adam was seen bringing both hands together, and between them, he held a strange black sphere that seemed to contort reality around it, as if everything was curving within inches of the dangerous orb.
The boy never stopped smiling, taking the sphere in a single hand and commenting on its immense destructive potential.
"That is an extreme concentration of gravity, an idea I got from the person I took the Personal Skill from."
Alter Adam stated the horrifying truth with gusto.
"I know perfectly well the destructive effect it carries. I want to see how you defend yourselves against this."
He then launched the sphere toward Adam and Drake at full speed, an action that caused both men to move instinctively, bracing themselves for the inevitable impact. However, before the black orb reached them, Kazue appeared directly in front of the two men. Moving strangely in the air, her arm stretched out, momentarily contorted by the spatial distortion the sphere caused, and yet she managed to touch it.
Without losing her smile, the girl used her skill [Advance Soul Share] again, laughing loudly.
"That tickles!"
Kazue exclaimed, delighting in the sensation, and to everyone's utter astonishment, the black sphere stopped, ceased contorting the reality around it, and began to change its shape, quickly developing massive teeth and two big and cartoonish eyes. The girl laughed, her arm stretching unnaturally like a rope before snapping back to normal, a surreal sight. But the crucial element was the new creature now circling the girl. Kazue, still laughing excitedly, gave it a name.
"I think I will call you Blacky! Welcome to the family!"
The feat astounded not only Kazue's teammates but especially alter Adam, whose eyes glowed fiercely because he recognized the spectacular nature of Kazue's Personal Skill… It had to be his; a reality manipulation skill, even if limited, was unthinkable and certainly represented a critical danger if the user ever achieved full control.
He could not move, however, because the distraction had been sufficient for Abbess and the Cursed Emperor to force their way through the diminished gravity and reach his position, grabbing him by the arms.
"Huh?"
Alter Adam muttered, only now realizing the tactical blunder. The pause was sufficient for Adam to signal Drake, an instruction the blond understood immediately.
The 'Ancient Ethernomicon' executed its skill [Let's make a death wish Lv10] once more, affecting alter Adam and inducing the sharp pain in his chest again, freezing him for the necessary second so the two summons could hold him tightly without being repelled immediately.
Finally, using this unique moment, both users crossed their arms over each other's chests, forming a perfect symbol of Yin and Yang as Adam's cursed energy and Drake's Imperial Ki merged. The energy of the combined skill [Heaven and Hell's Unison Fist] was unleashed in a horizontal torrent that reached alter Adam and enveloped him completely, while Abbess and the Cursed Emperor managed to release their grip and separate at the last possible second.
The horizontal blast of energy continued advancing like a powerful beam of destructive light that seemed to have no end… Now maybe it had been enough.
