As Patience walked her way over to her side of the ring while everyone still struggled to digest what Bryson just said. Morrigan was currently ignoring Patience and staring daggers at Bryson as Frans covered his face as he headed to his position with the other two.
"I think you've just got Patience killed." Reynard whispered, though thoroughly entertained.
"Have you ever heard that an angry fighter makes a sloppy fighter?" Bryson replied.
"She's not stupid she'll still try and use her head." Reynard said.
"Not as well." Bryson said before he looked around the place, "Get me the most sugary drinks you can."
"Why?"
"You'll see, hurry." Bryson said as he and Anna walked over to Patience's side. On the way Bryson looked over to a student who looked to be part of the news team and grabbed their pen and notepad.
"Hey!" They complained before shutting up as Bryson gave them a glare.
"You'll get it back later." Bryson grumbled out.
"She really doesn't look happy." Anna murmured.
"She's also not thinking about Pylet yet." Bryson said as he flashed Morrigan a smirk. He then looked over to Patience, "Speaking of which. You don't only have a training sword right?"
"Oh yeah." Patience said smiling, "I have this." She said as she reached under her collar and pulled out a small pendant that was the shape of a simple sword, "Sharpen!" She shouted out.
In a flash the sword grew from barely longer than a finger joint to a full-length sword. It was a beautiful steel sword with the crossguard in the design of feathery wings. Bryson noticed how much magic was brimming from the weapon, as much as the sword that Morrigan had.
"How do you have something that valuable?" Bryson said.
"This? It's a family heirloom. I got it when I came here. I was told to only use this when I'm in a serious situation." She said, "Don't worry, I won't be playing defense the whole time against her."
"What do you need me to do?" Anna asked Bryson.
"Before they engage, throw a few projectiles at Hayes. Stop the moment Patience gets too close, then observe what they do and counter it." Bryson instructed.
"Counter how?"
"You'll figure it out. You think quick on your feet."
"Okay." Anna said with a nod, "What about you?"
"I'll wait for now, Snowfield won't act until I do, he'll try to one-up me." Bryson said as he saw an object thrown his way. Recognizing it to be a soft drink, he caught it and looked to see that Reynard threw it.
"Hope that's useful, I'll be watching from the crowd." Reynard said as he went to find himself a seat.
"What's that for?" Anna asked.

"You'll see soon." Bryson promised.
"Fighters! Are you both ready?" A third-year student who decided to referee the match. The two nodded their heads, "Supporters, are you ready?" He asked and received a nod from them in response.
"Fight!"
Before the word even fully left the third-year's mouth, Morrigan ran full speed at Patience. Anna shot a silver blast towards Morrigan but it was easily avoided. By the time Anna was ready to fire again, Morrigan had already made the distance.
Patience however, never flinched, eyes wide open as she tracked her opponent's movement. The two then clashed into one another and stuck in a bind. Morrigan looked surprised that she was unable to push Patience back.
"So, you grew a pair? You going to go all psychotic on me now?" Morrigan said with a grin.
"No, just going to kick your ass!" Patience said as she broke the bind and began her attack. An overhead swing turned into a strike to the shoulder on the opposite side of Morrigan. As she parried that, Patience sent one at her midsection that she was forced to defend. Three more strikes from Patience later had her feeling confused.
She was moving well, she was moving competently, there was no chaos. This was a lot different from what she last saw of Patience. The only time when Patience was on offence was when she was blindly fighting, yet here she was with all her bearings, yet still hitting hard.
"Huh, what happened in just a couple of days?" Morrigan sneered deciding to press the attack.
"I realized that I like art."
"What does that mean?" Morrigan asked as she began to push Patience back.
"She's fast." Anna murmured looking worried, "At least they aren't doing anything."
"It would be stupid for them right now."
"Shouldn't we try something?"
"You know many enhancement spells?"
"No not really."
"Trust me you can be creative with magic." Bryson said as he watched the two swordswomen fight, "Right now we need to judge how fast Morrigan is. Do you know any geomancy spells?"
"Yeah, a couple."
"Can you cause the earth to jut out?"
"Yeah."
"Alright, once I cast a spell I want you to cause as much of the earth to rise from the ring."
"Is that allowed?"
"There's no rule saying we can't." Bryson pointed out.
"Oh, okay." Anna said nodding her head.
As they planned Patience at this point was losing the duel. Her power was there but Morrigan was just slightly faster and didn't look to be slowing down. Bryson seeing enough called out to them.
"Get back here!" Bryson yelled. In response Patience faked an attack that forced Morrigan to put her guard up as Patience leapt back near Bryson, "Throw a few things at Hayes to slow her down."
"Right." Anna nodded and created a small tornado between the two.
"What the- get back here!" Morrigan shouted through the wind.
"What do I need to do?" Patience said looking for advice, "She's faster than me."
"This." Bryson said as he opened the can of soda and suddenly the contents of it began to bubble and boil, quickly going down to nothing. Bryson then tapped his finger on the can's lid and it flattened itself.
Suddenly Patience's eyes dilated as she felt a surge of energy running through her. She looked around and noticed how things seemed slower now.
"Wowowow. Whatdidyoudo?" Patience asked feeling great.
"I hastened you, now you're faster. It has a limited length and has a severe drawback once it's over so beat her fast." Bryson ordered.
"Supereasycandothankyou." Patience said just as Morrigan sliced the tornado in half.
"Stop hiding, you, holy!" Morrigan yelled out as Patience surged towards her. Unable to dodge she did manage to bring her sword up as Patience came at her with renewed vigor.
"Magic? Seriously?" Morrigan hissed through gritted teeth as she was in full retreat. Desperately trying to defend herself, "Back me up!" Morrigan said as she retreated from Patience now. At the same time she heard the crowd cheer at this sudden turn.
Damn it. Morrigan thought through gritted teeth as her supporting mage team began to fire at Patience. The Atwiks and Westbrook boys attempted to. Or at least they tried to, magic circles began to form only to disappear before they could complete.
Frans looked very annoyed as he shouted straight at Bryson, "Really counterspells? That's such a stupid tactic!" Frans shouted at him.
"Not my fault your spells suck." Bryson said as he flashed the notepad he was filling with arcane writings. With a grin he tapped on it with the pen he took just as Frans shot a bolt of flame at Bryson hoping to incinerate the notepad. Only for it to harmlessly die out when it made contact.
"You think I didn't think you would try that?" Bryson taunted.
"Listen up you-" Frans was never able to complete his thought as the ring exploded.
