After the press conference ended, Chu Mengyao went to the office. Inside were only Ye Fan, Shen Yaqing, and Qiu Wen. Naturally, the task of dealing with reporters to restore the company's image was handed over to Mengyao, while Ye Fan became the man behind the scenes.

"Mengyao, you've worked hard. Have a cup of coffee and take a break." Qiu Wen diligently brewed the coffee.

"It was you who worked hard. I just moved my lips a bit." Mengyao said lightly.

But Qiu Wen didn't think so and said matter-of-factly, "With your eloquence and your CEO status, wherever you stand, all the reporters come flocking. If it were ancient times, you'd be a female general with a million soldiers hidden in your belly. Don't underestimate a few words; without your eloquence, not even a single word would grab anyone's attention if it were us up there."

"Exactly. Being modest is one thing, but you're underestimating yourself too much. There's no one else here, so why be so overly polite?" Ye Fan agreed with Qiu Wen's words.

"Everyone deserves credit, okay?" Mengyao smiled silently.

"In my opinion, Mengyao is the number one woman attracting all the attention, while the master is the big hero standing behind her, shielding her from the wind and rain. Your roles are different, but both equally important." Shen Yaqing stated seriously.

"You're quite famous now." Mengyao chuckled at Shen Yaqing and said, "Who doesn't know I have a top-notch hacker under my wing? Not just the reporters, others are definitely curious about you too."

"Gosh, I said a few words, argued in character as a non-human, and blamed some colleagues, and now I'm famous?" Shen Yaqing exclaimed and chuckled bitterly, "I was taking the blame for the master just now, and that reporter was sucking up magnificently. Boldly defending the hacker in front of everyone is no small feat. This alone shows how afraid they are of this fake hacker."

She continued, "Mengyao, there's nothing wrong with saying you have a top-notch hacker—it makes sense when you put it that way. Didn't you say you have an unmatched hacker in the world under your care?"

As she spoke, she focused her gaze on the master, smiling as she said, "Master, isn't it true? Are you happy being under Mengyao's care?"

"Happy." Ye Fan said softly.

"Show off, are you mocking me?" Mengyao rolled her eyes at Ye Fan and then turned to Shen Yaqing and said, "You're not shouldering any blame; you're basking in mysterious glory and countless honors."

"I'm just basking in the master's glory." Shen Yaqing laughed.

As the few chatted and laughed, the television was also broadcasting a scene in a Chu Group's store, where a thief was returning an item to its owner.

The reporter was explaining, and in the scene, a thief handed the item back to the owner with a sullen face, saying, "Hello, miss, is this what you lost? I'm delivering it; please sign for it."

The female owner confusedly accepted her item, not buying the "delivery" excuse since there was no packaging. Upon checking that nothing was missing, she was overjoyed.

The woman processed the situation and immediately shouted, "Catch the thief! Somebody, catch the thief! It's you, the guy in the black suit! I remember now, you bumped into me when I lost my item. You disappeared for two hours and think I won't recognize you? Don't run, you're coming with me to the police!"

Her shout startled many people, and she started to give chase.

The thief ran off, glancing back, praying, "Miss, I've returned your stuff, can't you just let it go? If you get hurt chasing me, it'll be my fault!"

The thief was naturally frightened, feeling frustrated—he returned the item, so why the persistence?

"Hey, you two lads up ahead, grab that guy, he's a thief." The lady called out for help from two people ahead of the thief.

These two were also thieves, who had already sneakily returned the stolen items to the owners' belongings. Looking sympathetically at their buddy, they whispered, "Brother, run faster. If you get caught, you can't fight back and will just get beaten up. If this lady uses the Ten Finger Face-Touching skill on you, you'll be disfigured, a real trouble."

"Why are you guys fine? If you had good methods, why didn't you tell me?" The thief lamented to his companions as he dashed past them.

"You're just dumb." The two thieves watched their companion run past, then gently blocked the female owner's pursuit.

"Miss, you've found your things, why worry about the thief? Quickly check if anything's missing." The two thieves kindly advised.

"I've already checked, nothing's missing. But let me say something, you're two decent-looking lads, why didn't you help catch the thief? Instead, you're blocking me. What's going on with you? Don't you have a bit of civic courage?" The lady scolded.

"Miss, be careful of ambushes. What if the thief is luring you to a secluded corner to assault you? That loss would be great."

"Exactly, you can't be too careful."

The two thieves said helpfully.

"You two are good fellows, considering my situation, very honorable indeed." The owner praised.

"Miss, you're really fierce." The two thieves thought inwardly.

But the lady's next words made the two thieves feel bitter inside.

"Aren't today's thieves a bit crazy? Stealing things and then returning them, how weird." The female owner muttered in confusion.

"Miss, we have our troubles. It's not like we want to. You think we like it?" The two thieves were nearly in tears.

The scattered thieves had no idea what the female owner was saying, but her earlier shout had shocked them. Those who had returned stolen items were relieved; those who hadn't were horrified.

"Miss, we're here to return items, not thieves. Burglars are thieves, alright? Stop shouting, please, we're begging you!" The thieves collectively prayed.

Another scene showed a thief surrounded by several owners, getting beaten up.

"Huh, my lost item? How did it get back in my bag? What's going on?" The owners cried out in various ways, baffled by the return of their items.

The thieves under Brother Zhu's command found ways to return the items.

They did it silently and without a hitch.

When exposed, they ran.

If they couldn't run, they got beaten.

And so, this trouble reached a dramatic resolution.
