Extraordinary Voyage

Chapter 193 Extracting Potion

Then Aiven found a piece of rope and tied it to the mast, holding the other end as he jumped back into the sea to find two tentacles, each over ten meters long, that had been severed by the explosion. He secured them tightly.

He then dragged them onto the ship with Milan, firstly to keep them as evidence, and secondly to improve the crew's meals. Milan didn't want to eat it; however, there were plenty on board who wanted to eat Sea Monster meat.

Turning around to look at the Sea Monster's carcass bobbing on the sea's surface, which no fish dared to approach, even though it was already dead, its residual power still lingered. Aiven silently took out a bottle of potion that looked quite special from his pocket.

A round red seed was suspended in the viscous green liquid.

This was one of the three potion formulas Aiven initially obtained from Leon's pharmacy notes, the "Extraction Potion." But after Aiven modified it with the magic potion knowledge from the "Shadow Library," it was more appropriate to call it the "Extracting Potion."

The original use of the "Extraction Potion" was to convert the blood and flesh essence of ferocious animals or large Sea Beasts into concentrated nutrients that humans can absorb. After adding suitable Extraordinary materials for improvement, the potion's effectiveness was much stronger than the original; one might even call it... tyrannical!

"The first time using this stuff outside the laboratory! Every time it feels like the presence of a Demon King, luckily, no one saw it!"

Whoosh—

Aiven opened the bottle cap and directly threw it onto the largest piece of the "Mirage Sea Star" remains.

Instantly, like a leech that had seen blood, the red seed exposed to the air after leaving the potion had its shell cracked, taking root and sprouting.

Countless tiny translucent red roots spread out like a living thing, wrapping around the piece of flesh, then continuing along the blue blood in the seawater, bit by bit enveloping all remaining limbs of the Sea Monster, not missing even a speck of residue.

Standing at a distance, it was as if one could hear the creepy sound of this bizarre plant rapidly growing, resembling the noise made by a living creature.

Visibly, translucent vein-like roots had crystallized liquid continually flowing, converging on the trunk of what had rapidly grown into a small tree.

Slurp... slurp...

Aiven even heard a strange sucking sound, unsure if it was an illusion. This was something he had never encountered during prior experiments with ordinary animals.

Soon.

With ample supply of "nutrients," a small bud sprouted at the top of the red tree-like trunk, then began rapidly inflating as if being inflated, pulsating like a living thing rather than a plant.

At the same time, the Sea Monster remnants scattered across the sea slowly shriveled, and the seawater became turbid, a result of impurities and wastes discarded by the "Extracting Potion."

This transformation continued for a full half hour, until the remaining limbs of the Sea Monster were thoroughly "digested," and the small bud finally turned into a mature fruit, heavy like a gemstone made into a watermelon.

The translucent skin of the fruit revealed rows of crystal-clear, neatly arranged "Pomegranate Seeds," radiating a magnificent glow in the night like rubies.

The only somewhat discomforting aspect was that each small fruit had a dark spot in the center, resembling the black eyes of the "Mirage Sea Star."

But this was nothing for a Wizard; commonly used in potions were lizard tails, dried spiders... which were far more bizarre.

This was the essence extracted from a whole Sea Monster, thirty meters long, using the "Extraction Potion," named by Aiven as the "Essence Fruit."

Although the process of the "Extraction Potion" appeared horrifying, like some terrifying alien creature consuming and absorbing bone marrow, the final "Essence Fruit" was akin to a divine gift!

So beautiful that one could hardly take their eyes off!

Aiven approached and plucked the "Essence Fruit," the remaining roots and trunk slowly melted, dissolving and eventually disappearing into the seawater.

After a brief inspection, Aiven confirmed that the "fruit" differed little from his previous laboratory experiments, only larger, more beautiful, and more appetizing!

Returning to the ship.

Being a Wizard, Milan's nerves were naturally strong enough and was not scared by the appearance of the "Extracting Potion," instead, his eyes were somewhat glowing seeing the beautiful fruit.

Seeing this, Aiven directly peeled the thin skin of the "Essence Fruit," picked a "Pomegranate Seed" slightly smaller than a grape and handed it to Milan, who was eagerly watching.

"Want a taste?"

"Well... I'll try it then?" Swallowing, Milan took the "Pomegranate Seed" handed by Aiven; at this time, Milan no longer mentioned that he had absolutely refused to eat the Sea Monster earlier.

The fruit, resembling a gemstone and emitting no scent, melted quickly in the mouth, turning into indescribably sweet juice. Milan immediately shut his mouth tight, unwilling to waste even a hint of the fragrant sweetness.

"...So delicious!"

Gulp... gulp...

Taking small sips, the "juice" was extremely easy to digest, and in less than a minute, a warm flow quickly spread throughout the body.

The sensation was warm but not stifling, extremely comforting, with threads of coolness creeping into the head, bringing an indescribable sense of refreshment to the mind.

Beside him, Aiven, who like Milan had also consumed a "Pomegranate Seed," felt the effects even more vividly.

Previously, his main body attributes were: Constitution 2.3, Strength 2.1, Agility 2.5, Spirit 0.55. Despite formally becoming an Extraordinary less than a year ago after undergoing the Extraordinary Transformation, these figures were already quite impressive.

However, at this moment, in his "Data Visualization" view, virtual "+" signs continuously appeared, not just enhancing one attribute but all attributes, including Spirit, were visibly increasing due to this warm flow.

Finally, when the warm flow completely settled, Aiven was pleasantly surprised to find that every attribute had shown varying degrees of change in the decimal places.

It was foreseeable that, after a few days of adaptive training and solidification, allowing the body to fully absorb the power, his Constitution, and Strength would both increase by about 0.05, Agility Attribute by 0.04, and even the most difficult-to-enhance Spirit would increase by a strong 0.02.

According to this growth rate, if all these remaining "Pomegranate Seeds" were consumed, his journey of physical ferocity along the knight's path could be halfway complete, certainly reaching the advanced level.

Moreover, perhaps due to the inherent attributes of the "Mirage Sea Star," the extracted essence included components conducive to Spirit growth.

This made the "Essence Fruit" all the more precious! This was something Aiven had never encountered in previous experiments with various subjects.

However, upon reconsideration, Aiven realized he was overthinking the matter.

Even though the "Extracting Potion" was improved, its essence remained unchanged; it simply extracted the essence and nutritional components from the Sea Monster, equivalent to a super-concentrated nutrient pack.

While pairing it with the consistently used "Whale Potion" could undoubtedly accelerate growth, solely relying on "fruit" consumption for rapid growth was unrealistic.

He must also keep up with subsequent training and cultivation, taking at least a month to slowly consume the remaining fruit while engaging in high-intensity training and cultivation to maximize the fruit's effects. Even so, how many attributes could ultimately be increased remained uncertain.

If this were not the case, the descendants of Great Nobles with undoubtedly superior resource allocation would have achieved invincibility long ago, with limitless resources stacked up.

At least the resources Milan had used since childhood were surely better than his, yet in Aiven's eyes, this guy, except for the miraculous "Divination Ability," was still a downright... weakling.

Furthermore, as his physical quality continued to improve, perhaps the essence extracted from "Small Species" Sea Monsters might weaken, and by then, only "Large Species" or even "Giant Species" would suffice.

Despite this, the "fruit" was already precious enough, capable of significantly reducing his original growth cycle, aiming swiftly to catch up with his sister, who had seemingly advanced to a Tier 3 Great Knight for unknown reasons.

When they truly reunite in the future, Aiven didn't want to be in a position of receiving strong protection from Anita as during his childhood.

Moreover, Aiven always felt a sense of urgency; since joining the army, the seas had grown increasingly restless.

From the unusual frequent sightings of Sea Monsters near shore as if searching for something, to encountering the battle between the "Rose Sword Saint" and the Deep Sea Brotherhood's vice president, Shepherd of Tide "Sea God's Son" Tien Kute, and now the "White Whale Port Massacre" initiated by the Pirates.

Just within the "Tulip Alliance," a series of events had occurred, making him feel as though invisible hands were manipulating everything from behind, with the events far from finishing.

The oppressive feeling of the impending storm continued to deepen! It was uncertain how vast the storm's range would be.

But, as a small pawn adrift in this tide, enhancing his power to avoid being overwhelmed in the storm was already an urgent necessity!
