Human civilization continued to grow uncontested. More and more independent tribes were brought into the fold as Gongsun Xuanyuan's vision manifested into total control over the Eastern Shensheng continent and the Southern Sanbu continent. In this instance, local demon races lived undisturbed for the most part alongside their human neigbours.
Though the human race's imperial court governed the land, leaving little room for them to argue. Their own Demon Heavenly court was forever entangled in their own conflict with the Earthly Divinities. Thus, the Yellow Emperor filled the hole of a top authority figure.
Growing up under their father's watch, the many children of the ruler of humanity, born from his many consorts spread out across numerous prefectures. Hundreds of years passed and their own territories sprung up, all overseen by the Yellow Emperor.
Xuanyuan watched with pride. His ambition of a greater human race grew. That vision which was once the hopes and dreams of a foolish boy became a reality. His cultivation, solidified alongside the destiny of humanity, becoming something independent experts feared.
Some had even complained to the most available saints around. The Heavenly Lord of the Numinous Treasure denied direct interference. The head of the Western Dao sect Jieyin also shook his head. The Western Niuhe continent was settled by many humans who worshipped his sect too. Some speculated this was the reason they didn't act against Xuanyuan's expansion.
"And so and so…blah blah blah," Jiaren tossed the newest edition of human history aside with a chuckle. "Xuanyuan has a brain. At least he knows how to use propaganda unlike that stupid autistic whore."
"Uh boss, is it really appropriate to use his majesty's personal name so casually?" one of his hechmen, smart people who recognized his prowess and followed him for his charisma. Not kindness, never kindness, those were for cringe idiots who don't know how the world works.
In truth, they weren't smart people, merely those he didn't kill without thinking and immediately sucked up to him. In the near one thousand years since he'd transmigrated to the prehistoric world, he'd built a magnificent legacy for himself that the local idiots would never conceive.
Hu Jiaren, celebrated hero and demon slayer. Someone much better then the many useless sons of Xuanyuan. At a young age, he'd already leveled up to a True Immortal, then a Golden Golden Immortal. He had no bottlenecks, and every battle was so easy for him.

Hu Jiaren ignored the system notification and slapped his underling instead. "STUPID, I call him whatever I want."
"Besides, that Yellow whatever is too useless. If I were him, I'd singlehandedly kill all the demons, cut off all the saints, and toss that useless retarded daughter to the waste bin. Or make pill out of her, at least that way she'll benefit someone."

His gang praised him as usual, so he saw no need to teach them a lesson. He took a step back to process the points he received for exchanges. In this regard, the system was less annoying. The amount of top tier manuals he'd obtained was enough to make the entirety of the Three Realms cry.
"Hey you," he called to one of his kowtowing henchmen that he still can't remember the name of. "I'm leaving for the capital. Let my wives know."
The Yellow Emperor was again, hosting another social event for all of humanity's champions. Somewhat smart of him if you ask Hu Jiaren, and a good place for him to make some amazement points.
He won't bring his women, however. As fun as it was to show them off, it'll be too bothersome to keep an eye on them all the time. Plus, those old men and young heroes at the capital must be eunuchs, considering how little they react to women.
'Calculate the strongest person in the human race,' he told the system again. It was routine ever since he discovered this function. He'd tried it on all sorts of experts. He could even assign a numerical value on the Yellow Emperor.
75,333,361 Heavenly Dao points to find out. Each point is worth a hundred trillion amazement points. But some people, he just couldn't assign points to. Like that Zhang Youren, some loser cuck who was drinking by himself everytime he visited the capital. No doubt eyeing his gorgeous women and amazing cultivation.
Yeah he knew the name Zhang Youren, some useless nobody who got gifted the seat of Jade Emperor after the investiture of the gods event. Just some weak mortal in the crumbling Shang dynasty who got thrown the position cause nobody liked Haotian, the overly ambitious but ultimately useless weakling he was.
He dismissed this Zhang Youren when he saw no number. He was likely too weak to even be detected. How else would you explain why he displays no techniques, nor brings wives, nor even dress in anything spectacular. It was illogical to him, hence stupid.
[ERROR]
He frowned, that happened every time he tried to calculate the strongest. He shrugged thinking it was natural. The human race had Xuandu after all. A personal disciple of the saint Laozi would definitely be in the Saint to Be realm. And he was definitely stronger than the Yellow Emperor.
How did he know? Well he read all the novels in his past life so he knew that Xuanyuan was actually very useless. He wasn't like Shennong or Fuxi, he was a weak man who was talentless in cultivation and needed smarter people for his innovations. Unlike the former two, he developed bureaucracy and had many advisors, which tells you all you need to know about his strength.
"Hmph, I want to see how much stronger those useless princes and princesses have gotten. I'll beat them all the same. Besides, the era after Xuanyuan doesn't follow his direct line anyway. When the time comes, I'll kill Shaohao and take the mantle of Human Emperor…emp…emp…co…emperor."
He tilted his head, noticing something strange about what he'd just said. He quickly dismissed it, however. He never noticed a mark on his back activating immediately afterward, sending information elsewhere.
…
'Damn, signal was still too weak.'
"If I were to translate 75,333,361,000,000,000,000 amazement points as Xuanyuan. Using his maximum strength as a baseline in comparison to Liu Er, then that system likely cannot comprehend beyond a billion Heavenly Dao points."
Haotian mused to himself, secluded in a courtyard watching the latest update on the so called, 'curse'. The image in the vast heaven mirror didn't depict a significant powerjump from the last entry. But his slip of the tongue did get a rise out of him. He entangled his fingers beneath his chin, this was what he'd been hoping to see.
Liu Er's Dao in the modern era was very enigmatic. Xuanyuan hadn't payed close attention to it beyond sponsoring Hu Jiaren. But Haotian understood that Nuwa went missing investigating it. Even the other saints were cagey about its details.
"Uncle Zhang, what are you look…loo…looking at," a feminine voice belonging to Gongsun Heng'e asked from nearby. "Is that? Oh."
She hadn't quite gotten rid of the stutter from her birth despite her cultivation. Being assigned to the border of human territories far to the west of the Eastern Shensheng continent gave her the opportunity to blossom.
"Your old friend," Haotian replied. "Is plunging his territory into debt."
Heng'e frowned. "His la…la…ack of care is known to ma…me. Bu…bu…t it's small and inconsequential to my plans. My brother Shaohao is kee…eee…p….ping our demon friends away from him."

"Emperor father favours him…im…im for some reason. Hurtful, but I can see his re…reasoning."
"Xuanyuan is still panicked over human's lack of experts." Personally, Haotian had been studying Hu Jiaren for the past thousand years.
For someone who stayed in his own territory, and only fought opponents he knew he could one shot, he'd grown tremendously thanks to his system. Yet that same system was the key to tracking down Liu Er's Dao. Every breakthrough sent a small signal, and the higher it went the stronger it was.
Haotian knew that if he could extinguish the curse permanently, he could bring back Nuwa thus alleviating Xuanyuan's more radical tactics as well as garnering favour with all other cosmic powers.
Heng'e and Shaohao, these siblings were a good pair among Xuanyuan's many children. Ever since they departed the capital, they had befriended members of the Demon race and Divinities race respectively. Haotian knew that they reported to their father with goals of bringing true peace in the three races.
In doing so, it'll lessen the chances of another disaster. Conflicts will still arise, as was with people with power. But the chances of another anti-devil war would be gone. Perhaps it made Haotian naive, but he clung on to an optimistic hope about his friend's future.
A talisman in his pouch vibrated. "Well I have to go," Haotian told her. "Say hello to Shaohao, Zhuanxu, and your father for me."
Teleporting away, he made his way to Mt Kunlun. There, he sat on a cloud not bothering to hide his identity. He didn't care wether the Twelve Golden Immortals, or any of their disciples recognized him as Haotian or Zhang Youren.
Mt Kunlun has changed greatly. Now it was a sparsely populated celestial mountain range with several hubs of activity centered around one giant temple complex with the words, 'Yuxu,' embedded. What's more, the entire area was laced with the spiritual presence of Yuanshi, no sign of Tongtian or Taishang remained.
"Hello there fellow daoist." Two saint to be, and one peak Unity Golden Immortal level experts approached Haotian with some caution. Haotian recognized one of them as Guang Chengzi, the other was a lean man with a squarish face. The weakest of the group was dressed in a turquoise daoist robe.
"Your master is expecting me."
"Indeed I am," Yuanshi's voice echoed throughout the sky. Haotian noticed the disciples below bowing down as the omnipotent saint appeared, as did the three who greeted him. In politeness, Haotian bowed respectfully.
Yuanshi appeared the same as when they'd last met. He was accompanied by a shorter elderly man with a bulbous forehead and carried a large wooden staff. "There is no need for a commotion. Nanji, take your juniors back to the sect."
"Yes master," the bulbous old man said. "Come along Guang Chengzi, Daoist Taiyi(Supreme Unity). Insightful Boundless Ways Celestial, don't you have articles to write?"
"They are important historical records," the squarish faced man grumbled.
"Fun bunch," Haotian mused.
"Among my best and brightest. Now let's go, we have a meeting to get to."
Yuanshi opened a gate and golden threads appeared. A purple gas emitted from his sleeth, merging with these golden threats to form a gate. On the other side was a confusing mess of energies, the Chaos Sea.
'The Chaos Sea just next to this Chaos World.' Haotian stepped through alongside Yuanshi. Outside the Three Realms, but still inside the Heavenly Dao's sphere of influence.
Below him, was the totality of the Three Realms and all its associated innards, the glittering Starry Skies, the realm of dragons, the trichiliocosm, and a small spec of black Haotian almost missed. Outside, a gargantuan ovoid dome encompassed the Chaos Sea. Its depths outside said dome was undetectable.
"I'm mixed about this place," Yuanshi said. "Too convoluted for me. My brother Taishang suits it more than me."
He then pointed at a location which Haotian recognized as Zixiao Palace. Once, it was attached to Mt Yujing and served as the heart of the East Continent. Now, the six saints used it for their meetings away from the prying eyes of the Heavenly Dao.
They reached it in seconds, having been unbothered by the chaotic air of the Chaos Sea. Haotian looked to his left, seeing at how Yuanshi's presence dramatically lowered compared to his saintly self. Not seemingly omnipotent anymore, merely astronomically powerful. Sensing his gaze, Yuanshi explained.
"The power of a saint is reserved for inside the Three Realms. I can display it in this outer area should the need arise, but that's for emergencies only. The Heavenly Dao dislikes saintly power being used in general, and especially for recreational use. Doubly so if its done outside its direct purview."
"You can hide if its not paying direct attention inside the Three Realms. Outside of it where your connection is weaker, you can hide even more easily. No wonder it doesn't like you guys."
"It is merely because having someone watching over your shoulder gets tiring." Haotian turned at the voice, seeing two others approach them. Tongtian and Taishang appeared equal to Yuanshi.
Taishang was an elderly man holding a horsetail whisk riding atop of a green ox while, Tongtian was an attractive woman carrying a sheathed sword riding atop a single legged cow. "Brother and…hm? I was not aware Haotian assisted you?"
'Tongtian really does resemble Wangshu,' Haotian mused in his mind. "It was said this meeting of saints would discuss heavy topics, I wanted to listen."
Tongtian frowned in agitation. "Indeed, your endeavors in the secular world has brought about a headache for me. Your, 'friend,' hasn't exactly made himself many friends."
"I have to agree with her, objectively speaking of course," Yuanshi said. "If the Heavenly Dao hadn't become invested in him, I doubt she would've stood idly by."
The four entered the great hall that was Haotian's childhood home and was immediately met with a series of tables and mats. One in the middle back, three on each side. Sitting in the most central location spot was his junior sister, Yaochi.
To him, she appeared middle aged. She wore a phoenix crown and deep purple robes in the same vein as Hongjun did. In addition, she appeared extremely calm and queenly. The type whose mere glance terrified you. "Senior brother," she gasped in surprise. Then it turned to a look of anger before that was suppressed.
"Benefactors," Jieyin said from the middle left side. The Three Pure Ones each took a seat on the right side.
"I assume where you're sitting would ordinarily belong to master?" Haotian asked Yaochi. She nodded and motioned for a stool that was just manifested in a corner. "Only saints were supposed to attend.
Haotian shrugged, "Yuanshi invited me."
"Of course he did," Yaochi almost sneered. "In any case, because our master is busy, I shall act as host."
"Just use Nuwa's seat, she's not gonna be here," Yuanshi told him. "We are all brothers and sisters of the same generation and we all fought a war together. Some of us here even worked to end it for good."
"My brother is right," Taishang added. "What use is there to denote hierarchy? Come good friend Haotian, sit with us."
Yaochi relented from the pressure of the Three Pure Ones. "Then let's get focused, we all know Gongsun Xuanyuan, the Yellow Emperor has descended to the world. Our connection to the Heavenly Dao tells us he is third of the Three Sovereigns and ancestor to the Five Emperors. My agents tells me that he's just rejected his senior's protection?"
"Your information is behind junior sister," Jieyin said with a shake of his weathered head. "The Yellow Emperor dominates much of the Heavenly realm while the demons and the divinities fight amongs each other."
"Well excuse me for being busy protecting our master's stronghold."
Haotian glanced at Yuanshi. 'In modern cultivation, divination without the Heavenly Dao is hard to begin with. Especially if you're both outside and trying to divine a person of interest to Heavenly Dao,' he heard in his mind.
"I know him the best out of anyone here. For all his faults, Xuanyuan has brought about stability and order to society," Haotian said in defence. "He does good for the Three Realms."
It wasn't a statement the others could deny at first. But as he uttered his following phrase, Tongtian scoffed. "I think we all know that brat seeks human supremacy. Some here may not care, but as patron to all races no matter their origin, Xuanyuan's methods to cull the other races are deplorable."
"Order and stability is good for peaceful living," Jieyin chimed in. "But the Yellow Emperor's elitism resembles the devils of old."
"That's an absurd comparison," Haotian replied heatedly. "Luohu cared for nothing except his own cultivation. The entire Devilish Dao was just an extension of him."
"I'll admit to being hasty to judge. But I am weary all the same."
"Technically, it's an extension of Heart Devil now."
"Who?"
"Heart Devil," Yuanshi elaborated. "Hundun did not perish at the end of that war. As we've come to find out, his will is seeded in all life, only manifesting in the potential for doubt. Most times he's of little concern, bit a cultivator fallen to the whispers of the Devilish Dao is liable to open the door to the Abyss."
"I forgot, you were secluded for a long time," Tongtian sighed. "Though I'm surprised you didn't notice my brother's disciple Xuandu heading out to fight devils in the abyss a while back."
"Abyss? Let me guess, where all remaining devils retreated," Haotian chuckled and his knuckle his grasped his sword tightly. He did remember observing a dark spot perpetually in the corner of his eye when he exited the Three Relams not too long ago. "I'm surprised you all didn't eradicate them all," he spat.
"The Heavenly Dao doesn't discriminate against any type of life. We had no right to act," Jieyin said with some shame..
"Enough, we are getting off topic. Gongsun Xuanyuan, the other news I received was that you are part of his court and helped in cultivate." Yaochi narrowed her gaze accusatory at Haotian. "Why would you impart master's teachings just like…"
"I didn't, all I did was help him combine the three flowers and break out of the river of time," Haotian defended himself. Inwardly, he was surprised how little his junior sister knew despite being a saint level figure. Perhaps Zixiao Palace was a tad too secluded.
"It does beg the question, he is trained in the way of heavens. Yet why does his cultivation exhibit the old ways?" Tongtian asked. "Brother, you know better then to ignore the master's decree regarding cultivation."
"I am also curious," Yuanshi said startling her. "My grandsciple studied exactly as anyone in my sect would. He was a True Immortal when he left and would've become a Golden Immortal of the heavens, and technically he still is."
"Though the Reincarnation Disc is beyond my authority," Jieyin added. "I have observed his karmic lines. His true soul ultimately lies within the river of time like all Golden Immortals of the modern age. He is a Saint to Be cultivator that produced his own Dao like a Chaos Immortal of old."
"Interesting."
"You all," Haotian gritted his teeth at how much they're scrutinising Xuanyuan. "Yuanshi told me the Heavenly Dao favours him from that night when he declared himself Human Emperor, so what does it matter?"
"Besides, I didn't know he had the seed of a Dao inside him. Even the most talented individuals from the Godfiend era didn't develop those until they became Great Unity Golden Immortals."
"A Saint to Be who developed his own Dao rather then using the preexisting Dao Laws to ascend. His body also being too inexperienced to bear it, thus his mind became a little." The Grand Pure One mused while twirling his finger circularly next to his noggin. "Reminds you of someone doesn't it Haotian?"
"Speaking of, 'him,' his Dao has incarnated under the Yellow Emperor's protection," Tongtian said angrily.
"Xuanyuan and I know the dangers. We've been dealing with it."
Yuanshi coughed from the side. A sound that sounded suspiciously like, "you mean you".
"Whatever the case, the Heavenly Dao actively favours his, and by extension the human race's rise to cosmic prominence. While it was expected, I don't like Xuanyuan being in charge," Tongtian said. "Brother, can Xuandu forcibly evict him?"
"Oh no no, my disciple would sooner self destruct," Taishang quickly denied. "I don't think we need to be too concerned." A small smirk emerged as he looked directly at Haotian.
"Xuanyuan isn't…he's not that far gone as you think Tongtian," he said. Gazing down, he seemingly found his table very fascinating. "His children Shaohao has great relation with the demons through the Yin-Yang Panda clan and their associated vassals. His daughter Heng'e is married to Houyi, a half human half divinity marksmen."
"The one who based his archery off of Xihe's technique?" Jieyin gasped. "I have heard of this divinity, he is a descendant of from Houtu's, and Zhurrong's lineage."
"You've been manipulating them into mending bridges, very wise." The Three Pure Ones appeared appreciative.
While Yaochi still had a look of anger, she hid an approving smile. 'As expected of my senior brother.'
