Heaven Slaying Blade

Chapter 565: Coffin in the Underground

"If this were taking place outside, this Emperor could obliterate you countless times over with one spiritual thought!" Zhuge Lang, looking frustrated, glared at the gigantic plump gold rabbit and spat out through gritted teeth.

Boom!

The golden rabbit slapped the energy shield activated by Zhuge Lang's protective dharma instrument, causing a violent fluctuation in its energy field.

The shield powered by the top-notch Heavenly Crystal ultimately failed to match the strength of the energy realm emanating from his own Emperor Realm. If this were happening outdoors, without suppressing his capabilities, even without his energy realm, a blow from this golden rabbit would do no harm to Zhuge Lang.

"All that boasting for such pitiful strength," the golden rabbit sneered, speaking human language.

"You…" Zhuge Lang was so exasperated he almost spat blood, for he was belittled by a rabbit.

"What are you going on about? Watch me end you today!" The golden rabbit, who had been silent before, seemed equally provoked by Zhuge Lang's display of powerful instruments.

"If this were taking place outside…"

Slap!

"Stop whining all the time about being outside, we're in here now!" The golden rabbit retorted in an amused tone, slapping Zhuge Lang's face.

Though Zhuge Lang's protective treasure made him immune to the rabbit's attacks, he still felt as if he was being slapped. His face turned ghastly pale and his eyes glowed with extreme anger. He seemed to be contemplating something.

Slap! Slap! Slap!

The golden rabbit exchanged blows, aiming to break Zhuge Lang's shield.

"You're pushing your luck... originally, I intended to use this on the golden Five Elements. But dealing with a plump, high-quality edible rabbit like you, I should use it on you. Then, the emperor himself can prepare a rabbit feast!" Zhuge Lang's voice became disturbingly cold, and his eyes were filled with lethal intent.

As a high-level practitioner in the Emperor Realm, his patience was running thin, being mocked by a mere rabbit.

With that said, Zhuge Lang took out a small golden sword the size of a palm from his body. The sword was intricately engraved with numerous inscriptions that were filled with the aura of the Great Dao. They were so complex that it would remain unreadable even if it were magnified ten thousand times.

This was a premium-grade, Emperor's weapon!

It was Zhuge Lang's personal dharma instrument!

Although Zhuge Lang wasn't able to fully harness this Emperor's weapon without his Emperor's power, the sword was sentient and could act on its own, exerting at least half of its full power for a short period equivalent to the time it takes to burn an incense stick, even now!

The weapon was not a instrument Zhuge Lang intended to use, however, the rabbit irritated him to the point of breaking. Even though there were no third parties aware of his humiliation, he could not bear it himself.

"Go!" Zhuge Lang commanded, throwing the small sword into the air. "Slay that rabbit for me!"

Hum!

The small sword instantly emitted buzzing sounds. It then transformed into a large, terrifying, one-foot-long blade that attacked the golden rabbit at an unthinkable speed.

"Oh my God!" Seeing the sword, all the golden fur on the rabbit stood on end. After muttering under its breath, the rabbit turned and ran without any hesitation!

Whoosh!

Transforming into a golden flash, it ran dozens of miles in the blink of an eye.

Now, it was Zhuge Lang's turn to take the upper hand. His stifled feelings swept away as he yelled degradingly, "Die, rabbit... stand your ground if you dare! Fight me? Aren't you capable?"

"Fight your sister! Why don't you fight with the Supreme weapon? Just because you're a fool doesn't mean the Rabbit Lord is!" The plaump rabbit's voice echoed from afar. He was several hundred miles away by now.

Zhuge Lang gagged in frustration. No matter what, he swore to slaughter the rabbit on that day. As for the gold of the Five Elements, he didn't believe that the earlier intruder could get it before him!

Zhuge Lang at the Innate Realm couldn't catch up to the speedy rabbit and its personal dharma instrument, so with guidance from his senses, he carried on following them.

By now, Chu Mo, whom Zhuge Lang thought wouldn't get the gold of the Five Elements so quickly, had used the "Entering Earth" blood moon from the Firmament Mirror to venture into the heart of the dragon vein!

Deep in the small, unassuming hill!

Chu Mo stood there, too stunned by the sight before him to utter a word.

An ancient stone coffin sat in the place that, according to Chu Mo's calculations, should have contained the golden Five Elements.

This coffin had endured an unknown number of years. Even its corners had eroded, carrying an ancient breath and reeking an earth-shattering aura.

However, before entering the place, neither the Avoiding Disasters talisman nor the predictions made by his Fengshui Divine Art gave any indication of danger.

This was an underground space, not large at all, with nothing but the ancient stone coffin inside.

"Who on earth would bury themselves in the heart of a dragon eye, the place where the golden Five Elements should have been?" Chu Mo grimaced, finding it unfathomable.

He wanted to open the coffin lid to check who was buried in there. But was hesitant. What if the figure buried there was a formidable entity? Wouldn't his actions equate to courting death?

Once again, Chu Mo held the Firmament Mirror. The three blood moons, Wishful, Avoiding Disaster, Entering Earth, were utterly still. Inside the Firmament Mirror, everything was tranquil as always. The fish of Fortunes swam freely around the water.

Chu Mo hadn't found the Pool of Reincarnation in the The Desolation, nor what the legendary rooster referred to as its chance encounter. But such things couldn't be forced. Even the rooster seemed to have completely forgotten about it and hadn't mentioned it to Chu Mo.

Nothing changed.

Once again, Chu Mo deployed his Fengshui Divine Art and continued to speculate the identity and background of the person lying before him.

Every speculation pointed to a truth that Chu Mo was reluctant to believe.

The stone coffin... was empty!

An empty coffin? Chu Mo was dumbfounded, finding it hard to believe.

An empty coffin, why was it placed here? Could it be... suppressing something?

Before he gained the inheritance of the Fengshui Divine Art, Chu Mo wouldn't have thought in this way, but now he understood many things.

But since all Fengshui Divine Art hexagrams indicated that this was an empty coffin, it probably wouldn't be a problem for him to open the lid of the coffin, right?

As Chu Mo pondered, he walked towards the stone coffin.

One step, two steps, three steps.

Just as he was about to take the third step, Chu Mo felt an overwhelming pressure bearing down on him!

The pressure felt as if a mountain had suddenly landed on him.
