Heaven Slaying Blade

Chapter 181: The Furious Hua Shuanniu

"Hua Nan's dad... that old codger!" Chu Mo's face darkened immediately. Despite him throwing countless large rocks, he was not able to kill him, only managing to knock him off the cliff. Unexpectedly, he had climbed back up so quickly. Such obsessive persistence, truly frightening!

"Kid, I reckon you're not his match." The giant rooster looked at Chu Mo with some ill intent, "Do you want...a little help?"

"You'd be so kind?" Chu Mo shot a dubious look at the rooster.

"What are you implying? What kind of stature do I, Lord Rooster, possess? Would I deceive a lowly human like you?" The rooster was immediately indignant, its eyes growing large as it looked at Chu Mo dissatisfied.

"You can't even beat me, can you?" Chu Mo stared at the rooster, laying bare the truth without mercy.

"What Lord Rooster fears is the knife in your hand!" the rooster exclaimed angrily, "You think I'm afraid of you? Naive!"

"Then how are you planning to help me?" Chu Mo sneered.

The rooster stretched out a wing, pointing at the hole in the rock from which it had emerged, "You can crawl in there!"

"That's how you're helping me?" Chu Mo laughed in exasperation, "Let me crawl up there, and then I suppose he won't pursue me from behind, right?"

"Of course he'll pursue!" the rooster glared at Chu Mo, "Don't look at Lord Rooster like that, do you take me for a fool? You crawl up the hole, and then Lord Rooster covers your retreat! Lord Rooster's imposing presence will definitely scare him!"

"And then what?" Chu Mo inquired.

The rooster laughed, "Then when you reach the end, you'll understand! Not to mention that human, even the strongest being in this world wouldn't dare approach!"

"Speak human language!" Chu Mo glared discontentedly at the rooster.

"Lord Rooster isn't human in the first place!" The rooster glared back at Chu Mo, "At the end of the tunnel, there's an enormous dragon lair! An Azure Dragon used to cultivate here, you understand, kiddo? It's an excellent cultivation spot! I'm giving up such a place for you, tell me, how are you going to thank Lord Rooster? How many dragon fish?"

"..." Chu Mo gazed speechlessly at the rooster, "You first explain, why can't others approach the dragon lair? If others can't approach it, how can I?"

"Are you stupid? Can't you be slick for once? You're giving Lord Rooster a headache! The weapon you're holding, what in the world could suppress its aura? Once the weapon's hostile nature is provoked, just emitting a small burst of murderous intent would annihilate anything!" The rooster grumbled, "Do you think everyone else is like you? Others can't approach that place at all! The pressure and power emanating from the dragon's lair is enough to leave them breathless! Forcibly approaching would make their bodies crack apart and scatter to the winds!"

"I won't be affected?" Chu Mo narrowed his eyes, looking at the rooster. He somewhat doubted the rooster would help him out of pure goodwill.

The rooster raged, "Fine, neglect it! You think Lord Rooster really wants to help you? What Lord Rooster values is your possession of a storage space capable of raising fish! If you remain alive, Lord Rooster wouldn't have to go through the trouble when craving snacks!"

"You want to stay by my side? As my pet?" Chu Mo suddenly realized.

"Pet, my eyeball!" The rooster stomped its foot in fury, "Lord Rooster plans to make you a human pet! Scram, scram, scram! Lord Rooster doesn't want to assist you anymore! Go face that human who is infinitely stronger than you!"

Chu Mo chuckled, "Don't be upset, you want to follow me around in the future, right? That's okay! My storage space can indeed raise fish...not only can I raise them, but I can breed them too! The fish here are getting fewer every time you eat, and there are frequently humans coveting them, right? There will always be a few fearless ones dares to compete with you. So, you are quite helpless, aren't you?"

The rooster bore a look of annoyance and turned its head to one side, ignoring Chu Mo.

Boom!

Crash!

The thunderous booming sound was growing nearer.

Clearly, Hua Shuanniu had gone mad. In his quest for vengeance for his son, he had cast aside all caution.

Chu Mo glanced at the rooster and took a deep breath, deciding to believe the bird's words. The hole in the rock, though small, was large enough for him to slip into.

Once inside, Chu Mo crawled forward in the cave at a slow pace. He found the walls of the cave to be incredibly smooth. Chu Mo couldn't help but feel puzzled, as it seemed like the rooster had just come out of this cave.

"Hey, rooster, how did you manage to make this cave?" Chu Mo asked in a low voice.

"What do you mean how?" came the cold voice of the rooster from behind Chu Mo, echoing directly in the deepest reaches of his consciousness.

"Isn't this the cave you just crawled out of? How is it so smooth?" Chu Mo asked in return, using a direct transmission of his voice.

"This? You didn't think the fire on my body was just for show, did you?" the rooster replied arrogantly.

Just then, Chu Mo could hear the rumbling intensify behind him. Following a loud roar, Hua Shuanniu's crazed voice echoed, "You little beast, let's see where you can hide now!"

"Chu Mo? Chu Mo? Come out and meet your death!"

"Where is he? He couldn't have possibly escaped this place! You have nowhere else to go!"

A battered and fiercely angry Hua Shuanniu, stood exactly where Chu Mo had been standing earlier, he looked at the vast cavity of the cave, and roared in fury.

Even if he was trying to climb from the other side of the mountain, it wouldn't be easy. During his climb, Hua Shuanniu had even encountered a sixth-order peak Primordial Beast.

It was a sixth-order grey hawk!

Perhaps Hua Shuanniu's attempt to scale the cliff had led him too close to the hawk's nest, provoking the bird's wrathful attacks.

Although Hua Shuanniu was significantly stronger than the hawk, his perch on the cliffside didn't afford him the same freedom as flat ground. Under the furious assault of the hawk, he faced numerous perils. In the end, he had to resort to expending a vast amount of his primordial force, inflicting a severe blow on the hawk and making it flee.

Even though the hawk had flown away, the depletion of Hua Shuanniu's primordial force was terrifying. His body bore several wounds from the hawk's claws, bleeding profusely.

Upon finally reaching the sheltering cave where Chu Mo had been hiding, he found that the entrance had been blocked by a large boulder. Seething with rage, Hua Shuanniu didn't care whether Chu Mo would notice or not and attacked the blocking boulders directly.

With brute force, he shattered all the boulders and finally opened the tunnel.

However, he found that Chu Mo was not there.

The fury and despair nearly drove Hua Shuanniu mad.

But soon, Hua Shuanniu noticed the small hole above on the rock wall. Grinding his teeth in fury, he growled, "So you want to play the mouse, huh? Let's see how far you can run!"

With that, Hua Shuanniu launched himself into the hole and began to crawl forward furiously.

After crawling for a short while, he suddenly felt a terrifying pressure that sent shivers down his spine. As if a torrent.... was rushing towards him!

Instantly, Hua Shuanniu felt his body go limp, and his eyes widened in boundless horror. (to be continued. If you enjoy this story, please go to qidian.com to cast your recommendation votes. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users can read this at m.qidian.com.)
