The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1904: Equal Contract

Carson Flores was taken aback: "Contract?"

Delarosa smiled and said, "Aren't people who enter the Ghost Tower all seeking the tower's approval, hoping to finally take it for themselves?"

"When we first met, I asked you about your choice regarding the contract, and your answer left quite an impression on me."

Carson chuckled, "Young and reckless, young and reckless..."

Back then, Carson was very young, yet he only accepted a contract where he was the master. Thinking about the power gap, it truly felt like a bold move by someone ignorant of their fears.

After a pause, Carson asked curiously, "Delarosa, why did you suddenly bring this up?"

Delarosa replied, "Now that you have the power of a Golden Immortal, you can barely exert the power of the tower. The enemies you'll face will become stronger and stronger. If you sign the contract, you can accept me as your life-bound magical treasure into your Sea of Consciousness, and I can accelerate your cultivation speed from there."

"Moreover, even though a magical treasure may have an Artifact Spirit, having a master versus not having one are completely different concepts. As you become stronger, you and I can unite as one to unleash greater power."

"The enemies you'll face will continue to strengthen, possibly Heavenly Immortals, treasures containing the Heavenly Dao Rules, like the Leaf of the World, or even those stronger than the Great Land. Once we sign the contract, we'll become one entity, which will greatly benefit us in confronting our enemies. Otherwise, we'll remain two individuals and risk focusing on one to the neglect of the other."

Carson pondered, "Can we sign a friendship contract?"

Delarosa smiled lightly and teased, "You don't want a master-servant contract? If we sign that, I'll have to listen to you and can't disobey your orders. You could command me to do anything, even if I don't want to..."

Carson laughed, "If you don't want to do it, why would I order you to? We'll face our enemies together and share life and death. Isn't that friendship? Without you, I'd have died several times already. A master-servant contract wouldn't be appropriate..."

Delarosa chuckled softly, "Then let's sign an equal partnership contract. I'll remind you though, once signed, it can't be changed, so don't regret it later."

Carson smiled, "I won't regret it. If someday I change, and am no longer the person Delarosa values, feel free to leave without paying me any mind. Better not to be troubled by me."

Delarosa nodded, "Then make sure to keep your true self. The Immortal Path is long, and I've seen many people who no longer recognize themselves at the end."

"I will!"

Seeing no further objections from Carson, Delarosa said directly, "Extend your hand."

Carson extended his hand, and Delarosa raised hers, casually making a slash across his palm, causing fresh blood to flow out immediately.

Carson remained still, watching with anticipation.

He's never made a contract with an Artifact Spirit before and was curious about how it worked.

Delarosa raised her pale, snow-white hand and gently made a slash across her own palm, similarly drawing plenty of fresh blood.

Delarosa placed her bleeding palm on Carson's, their palms facing each other, and held hands. The wounds touched, and their blood mingled, rising and forming a bloody symbol in the air.

"Repeat after me!"

Delarosa smiled, gave Carson a glance, and began the oath, "I, the Artifact Spirit Delarosa of the Heaven and Earth Mystical Yellow Linglong Tower, hereby swear..."

Carson followed Delarosa, reciting the vow, while simultaneously reflecting.

The Ghost Tower's name was originally given by the cultivators of the Barbaric Wilderness Realm, and today he finally learned its true name.

Heaven and Earth Mystical Yellow Linglong Tower!

It sounds quite formidable indeed!

Only, he wondered why it remained hidden in the Barbarian Wilderness, concealed for tens of thousands of years without leaving.

As the vow was spoken, the blood-converged symbol suddenly emitted a great blood light, then quickly retracted, finally condensing into two drops of blood that entered their foreheads.

Immediately, Carson felt an inexplicable connection, sensing that no matter where the other party was, he would be aware. The two could also communicate directly through their Primordial Spirit.

Delarosa withdrew her hand and smiled, "It's done; the contract is established. Neither of us can escape now. As long as we're alive, we can sense each other's location, and with this bond, you can directly command the tower for attacks and defense."

Carson curiously asked, "Just how powerful is this tower? What special abilities does it have?"

Delarosa answered, "This tower is called the Heaven and Earth Mystical Yellow Linglong Tower, an Innate Spiritual Treasure. Its attack means are not particularly strong, but its defensive power is extraordinary. If you encounter a strong enemy and can't defeat them, you can hide in the tower and escape. There aren't many who can block the tower's escape route; at least, none in the Thunder Immortal Realm."

Carson's eyes lit up, "A defensive Innate Spiritual Treasure? That's great! If we can't win, we can at least defend, and escaping is good enough. I've managed by running away countless times with the saying that surviving is victory, right?"

Delarosa covered her mouth and laughed lightly, "Indeed, survival is victory. Immortal Cultivation is really about who lives the longest..."
