Chapter 784: Ash Under the Covers (Part 2)

Ash and the others need to hide, but Felix doesn't, so where did he go?

There are three bedrooms on the second floor. Sonia opened the first guest room, and it was empty; Demi opened the second guest room, and it was empty too.

When Demi headed towards the master bedroom, Sonia took the lead, grasping the doorknob, pressing it down, and pushing the master bedroom door open to look inside.

The master bedroom was naturally the room with the best view in the villa. The ceiling had a slanted skylight, and outside there seemed to be a refraction device, allowing the starlit sky to flood every inch of the master bedroom's space. The cabinets, floor, and bed, every tangible thing was draped in starlight gossamer, as though existing amidst a starry sky.

In this serene and dreamy scene, the blonde girl sitting on the bed was undoubtedly the sole crowned protagonist under the starlight. Her long golden hair draped over her shoulders, her cherry lips were enticingly fresh, her legs were covered by a quilt, and her upper body in a sheer, transparent nightgown which clung exaggeratedly around her full, heavy chest, fashioning a dramatic curve. Her slender waist was gentle enough for an embrace, her hands were donned in long white silk gloves, much like a sleeping princess in a starry sky.

As the door was pushed open, she opened her eyes, seemingly not yet reacting as if she had just returned from the Void Realm.

But in the next moment, her face changed drastically, and she grabbed a pillow from beside her and threw it over!

"Ah—"

The glass windows seemed almost to shatter at the sound that broke through the starry sky. Demi hurriedly explained from outside the door, "We're here to search for the Legendary—"

Felix's angry voice reverberated through the entire villa: "You—just—get out!"

Demi retreated as he spoke, "Felix, could it truly be you—"

"Get out! I don't want to see you! And if you dare speak a word, I'll, I'll..."

"We will not reveal anything at all!" Demi suddenly became earnest, "I promise you in the name of a brother!"

"Go die, go die, go die!"

As Sonia and Demi returned to the first floor, Aisha and Yadas also came over. Aisha was thrilled, "I heard a woman's voice, did you catch Felix fooling around!? Did you take pictures?"

Sonia glanced at Demi and shook her head, "We caught Felix, but she wasn't fooling around."

Aisha: "(‧_‧?)"

Demi: "Let's just leave for now."

The group left the villa. Demi turned to the others, speaking seriously, "Though I don't know why Felix wants to hide her gender, nor do I understand my father's reasoning, but please pardon this rude request from Demi, please do not let this leak out."

"This is unrelated to noble reputation; it is a brother's request."

Demi bowed deeply to the trio.

The three exchanged glances with each other. Yadas was the first to express, "I have no interest in discussing the chaotic private lives of nobles."

"Even though I usually have no filter..." Aisha made a zipper motion over her lips, "I won't casually speak about privacy that affects another's reputation."

"Felix is my friend, and also my junior—now my junior sister." Sonia smiled, "Of course I won't expose her secret."

"However, it seems you're not on good terms with her. Once she's calmed down tomorrow, I can help you talk to her."

Demi bowed again, "Thank you very much for your understanding."

"Let's go, let's go." Aisha chuckled, "Although we didn't catch Felix fooling around, this discovery is as explosive as if Demi was fooling around—pity we can't talk about it."

Sonia pressed the communicator in her ear to report, "Holy Domain Team Five has completed the specified area search, no findings."

Soon, a response echoed in their minds, "Please return to the temporary command center for further instructions."

They didn't unfold the Void Wings, instead choosing to walk back normally to avoid interfering with other Holy Domain teams' searches.

Aisha noticed Sonia kept looking back toward Felix's villa and moved closer, discussing in low tones, "Did you suspect Felix was a girl before today?"

"No," Sonia replied, "after all, she has rumors of many girlfriends… Ah, no wonder she never accepted senior Celia, that explains it…"

"How does she look?" Aisha curiously asked, "Though if she looks so pretty in male clothing, her original appearance must not be bad."

"A very pretty blonde girl with a great figure. My roommate has an identical sheer nightgown, but couldn't make it look as seductive as she did. I really don't know how she usually binds her chest…" Sonia recounted while reminiscing, "And…"

The Sword Maiden looked back at the second-floor window of the distant villa, her ruby eyes glowing with a peculiar blood light:

"Felix has really long legs."

...

...

It's covered up!

In the master bedroom of the villa, Felix lurked by the window, secretly observing. Seeing the Holy Domain team vanish around the corner, she let out a long sigh of relief, unable to resist her legs growing weak and collapsing onto the carpet.

She truly got through this!

Felix couldn't believe she actually managed to hide these three wanted criminals during the encirclement operation!

Tonight, for her, was also a heart-pounding adventure.

First, those two bastards Ash and Igula repaid kindness with betrayal, wearing her clothes, using her skincare products, and in the end, causing her to fall into a deep sleep. But they didn't know, believers of the Dazzling Star's Four Pillars have high resistance to all kinds of mental domination, even able to resist the will shackles of the Stars Blessing.

A gentle Spirit Miracle like the one Igula used, which doesn't damage the brain, took Felix only a few dozen seconds to return to a semi-conscious state. But she didn't dare to fully wake up, obediently letting Ash carry her to the bed. Once they were in the first-floor living room, she regained full consciousness and used the surveillance system to eavesdrop on Ash and their conversations.

Indeed, there were two surveillance systems in the villa; they had already dismantled one upon entering, but the second one remained hidden within the furniture, completely undiscovered by them! Of course, this system could still be influenced by Wonders like 'Serenity,' so Felix didn't learn much information when Ash and the others discussed important topics, as they'd activate the silence barrier.

However, perhaps confident that Felix was asleep, Ash and the others did not activate the silence barrier this time, revealing explosive information.

Ash dressed so nicely to go on a date with someone!

Igula and Harvey actually advanced to the Holy Domain through external means!

Moreover, Ash used a Wonder that allowed them to continue ascending Ruby Mountain!

Ash is already a Legendary Mage!

Ash actually has a way to allow the three of them to enter Ruby Mountain together!

Just as Felix was preparing to witness the birth of a Spirit Legend and a Necromancy Legend, she realized the three wanted criminals hadn't returned after entering Ruby Mountain for a long time. Around six o'clock, her second Miracle Bracelet delivered a notification—Dazzling Star convened the Legendary Holy Domain to encircle the legendary invader in the Lonely Diamond District!

Initially, this news had nothing to do with Felix, but she did have three wanted criminals here, one of whom was truly a Legendary Mage!

In panic, she could only dial a secret number to consult on how to handle the situation. After understanding the situation, the touch seat instructed her to stash Igula and Harvey into coffins, as they were merely Holy Sanctuary Mages and not the targets of this operation. By hiding them in coffins and then the basement, given Felix Vosloda's name, no one would scrutinize them too much.

The biggest problem was Ash; he was already a Legendary Mage, likely exhibiting an iridescent reaction, and couldn't pass any inspections.

The seat offered a way to hide Ash, but Felix had to make a sacrifice—she was to hide Ash in her room and then reveal her secret of being female, encouraging the search teams to retreat voluntary.

"Will the search teams truly retreat for this reason?" Felix doubted, "What if they don't know I'm Felix, or—"

"They will," the seat assured her, "You'll understand when the time comes."

Now Felix did understand, though the outcome was one she wished to evade most—she least wanted the Vosloda people to know her true gender!

But with things as they were, Felix had no other option, willing herself to feel at least somewhat useful. Yet, she sat by the bed, still downcast, and couldn't help but punch the shape in the quilt.

Suddenly, Felix remembered something. She walked back to the window, looked out again, and only relaxed after confirming no one's return.

Earlier, she hid Ash by first covering him with a blanket, then laying her legs over him, hoping to deceive successfully.

From the result, indeed no one suspected someone was hidden in the quilt.

However…

Felix wondered if she was mistaken because, when she opened her eyes, she seemed to see Sonia, who entered first, shining a colored light on the quilt.

It must've been a mistake; otherwise, why would she cover for me? Felix thought.
