Chapter 764: The Witch Is Actually Lissdia

"I want to see Daddy! I want to see Daddy! I haven't seen Daddy in so long!"

In the Kingdom of Gospel, within the Yisu Imperial Palace, Diya looked at the little witch Liss making a fuss in the mirror. Exchanging glances with the White Queen, Black Butler, Red Death Cultist, and other sisters, she felt quite helpless.

A whole month and a half without logging into the Void Realm; not just Liss, but even Diya and the others were a bit dispirited. Without replenishment of Ash's energy for so long, they lacked the energy to handle state affairs. During the most severe days, they even played with building blocks all day to relieve boredom, but while playing, they would recall the times Ash played with building blocks with her, which only made them more irritable and restless.

Technically speaking, bringing Liss into the Void Realm wasn't out of the question. After all, they had tried it many times before. However, this time was different. Over this month and a half, a lot happened, such as the Sky Gate Technique Spirit eruption, Hanna starting to adjust the boundaries of the Gospel System, and the initial success of the 'Miracle Rebellion'.

Although Diya still couldn't control the Gospel Divine Being at this time, through 'Miracle Rebellion' as a medium, she could already disperse the spiritual influence brought by the Gospel Divine Being to all the people, effectively immune to the negative effects of divine possession.

Simply put, she no longer needed to conceal that the witch was actually Lissdia; she could frankly reveal everything to Ash.

But Diya hesitated.

She kept thinking, is it really necessary to change the currently stable interpersonal relationships and add chips to herself to bring Ash back?

Diya was actually quite satisfied with the current status; everyone was still comrades, still together every day exploring the Void Realm. Unlike the Sword Maiden with so many desires, perhaps because she had already received too much from Ash, or perhaps because she couldn't bear to see Ash sad.

There was also a possibility she was a bit afraid of the Sword Maiden.

Even though by age she was actually a bit older than the Sword Maiden and her social status was undoubtedly higher, every time she saw that touch of red hair, Diya would subconsciously curb herself, obediently admitting the Sword Maiden's absolute status.

And thinking carefully, if she confessed that the witch was Lissdia, then what?

To make Ash return to the Gospel? But even if she didn't say anything, he would come back for Liss anyway.

To make Ash like her more? Honestly, Diya would rather maintain the current somewhat pure level of love, unwilling to mix even a little kinship into the relationship, and this was her biggest concern. If Ash couldn't overcome this psychological hurdle, unable to accept being in love with his daughter's sister, then Diya would truly fear the Sword Maiden for a lifetime—as a stepmother.

Conversely, continuing to conceal can maintain the current relationship, even if she has to confess, it should wait until Ash comes back to the Gospel, by then even if he wants to run, he can't.

This is why Diya found Liss so troublesome: Liss already knew that the 'Miracle Rebellion' had taken effect; if brought into the Void Realm, she might recklessly hug Ash and call out "Daddy", directly turning the Void Realm into an unpredictable stage of fate, and the subsequent development of their relationship would become unpredictable.

As for asking Liss not to expose it, such a request was meaningless. Liss would say 'okay, okay,' but would immediately think about whether to nuzzle Ash's face or bury her head in his chest when she saw him next. After all, she's the little witch created by Diya herself, selfish and willful are her nature. As for giving up her core demands for the sake of her sisters, sorry, she never had that life-inhibiting function from the start.

But not taking Liss inside is not good either, after all, she might not be taken in today, but what about tomorrow, the day after, and future instances? If not brought in and not allowed to see Ash, they would be preparing for Liss' early rebellious phase—her sisters can all go see Daddy, but not her; Liss couldn't stand such differential treatment, she certainly would resent Diya and the others.

So, after mulling over, Diya exchanged a glance with the White Queen and others, earnestly saying, "Liss, I will never take you to the Void Realm to see Ash again."

Liss was stunned, then immediately started bawling, rubbing her eyes.

"However, I will continue to maintain this small form." Diya said, "Ash loves the little girl Liss, not knowing grown Lissdia. When Ash returns to the Gospel, we will let you have the body for a month, letting you act as Liss—you can fully indulge, fully play, fully enjoy your time with Ash."

"After you stay with Ash for a month, we will resume our adult forms, is that alright?"

Liss immediately raised three fingers, "Three years!"

The White Queen went over and punched Liss on the head, "This offer is way too much!"

"One and a half months!"

"One year!"

"One and three-quarters months..."

After a tense negotiation, they finally set Liss' time to three months. If Ash returns to the Kingdom of Gospel, Liss would take over this body, knowing only after three months Diya could activate reverse aging and return to the normal body a year before.

Finally soothing Liss, Diya breathed a sigh of relief, and seeing it almost time, lay on the bed waiting to connect to the Void Realm. At this time, Hanna came in wearing a purple nightgown, humming while applying skincare cream, and then lay on the bed hugging Diya.

"Did something good happen? Why so happy?" Diya asked.

"Banjee called me 'mom' today." Hanna laughed, "Hee hee hee, when he recovers his memory later, I can tease him about this for a long time."

"Eh!?" Diya exclaimed, "Will he call me sister then?"

"He can, but you have to call him sister a few hundred times first." Hanna shrugged, "I don't mind, after all, he took care of me growing up. I can call him mom a few hundred times without psychological pressure—even wanted to call that long ago."

"I also consider Banjee as a sister!" Diya said, "Is that why you're happy all day today?"

"Not just that." Hanna said, "Just that... well, let's just say, I have a friend A, who likes B, but A and B aren't together. Recently A found out B has a C very close by."

"But according to B, C is supposed to be a man, but when A met C, found out C actually is a woman! Not only that, A and C will spend a long time together afterward. Your Majesty, guess what will happen?"

Diya guessed, "An argument?"

Hanna took Diya's small hand, applying hand cream to the back of her hand, saying, "Argument is too light a word, I think 'war' is more appropriate. You should've seen the scene that first night they met, it was spectacular... In short, it was very entertaining."

Diya nodded, somewhat understanding, she thought and asked, "Hanna, I recently read a story in a picture book, about two girls and one boy, their relationship is like this..."

"...do you think the princess should confess or continue hiding?"

"Keep hiding." Hanna said, "Interpersonal relationships are like sawing wood: sometimes it gets better, sometimes worse, there's always disputes and conflicts, as well as warmth and comfort, but overall they develop more profoundly, the longer it's sawn, the closer the relationship gets."

"And confessing there is another identity is like sawing with two saws, it might improve efficiency, but might also conflict, damaging the saw."

"Since the princess can hold the upper hand securely, why complicate matters?"

Diya nodded firmly, "Hanna is right."

"What was the story's ending?" Hanna was a bit curious, "Confession or concealment?"

Diya was about to speak but suddenly felt her soul being drawn and said, "I'll tell you tomorrow, I need to sleep."

Her soul connected to the Void Realm, her consciousness sinking into Ruby Mountain. The witch slowly opened her eyes, the blood-red ruby mounts reflected in her view.

Pop.

Diya turned her head and saw that touch of red hair fly into Ash's arms.

Ash was almost knocked over by the Sword Maiden, hugging her and spinning a few rounds, the two exchanging a look before tightly embracing, as if trying to meld each other into themselves, constantly asking questions that didn't exist.

"I'm ready." Sonia whispered in his ear, "You can come find me in the Dazzling Star anytime."

Ash was startled, asking, "Ready for what?"

"Ready to have you stay with me." Sonia said earnestly, "Or for me to leave with you temporarily."

"But your studies, career, and your—"

"That's why I say, I'm ready." Sonia exhaled, "I will keep preparing until you come, always ready. But we're not leaving forever, once we stand at the mage's summit, we can go wherever we want."

Ash blinked, knowing the significance of Decree No. 51, naturally understood the deep commitment Sword Maiden showed, his heart welled up with sourness and emotion. He pursed his lips, taking a deep breath, saying, "I—"

"Wait, wait."

Diya came over, pushing the two apart, then looked at Ash seriously, saying:

"Ash, I'm actually Lissdia."
