Los Angeles Legendary Sleuth

Chapter 128: Arrest (Extra 11/21)_3

The blue-haired man walked into the repair shop and shouted at the owner, Pier, "Hey buddy, I'm here to pick up my bike. I can't wait to see my Harley baby."

"Come with me, buddy, it's already waiting for you in the yard."

Pier led the two into the yard and pointed at the Harley on the east side, "It's been customized just as you requested. It's definitely the brightest Harley in all of Los Angeles.

Wherever you go, it will attract countless gazes."

"Wow... it's beautiful. This is the treasure of my heart, haha. I've been waiting for this day for a long time." The blue-haired man asked the woman in shorts beside him, "Baby, do you like it?"

The woman in shorts, chewing gum, walked over, "Hmm, the bike's not bad. Is this my surprise?"

The blue-haired man whispered, "Remember that stinky cop who bullied you? This is his bike."

"The one that was parked outside the bar?"

"Exactly, I stole it back."

"I remember that bike seemed to be black."

"That's why I had it brought here to be remodeled. Now even if we ride this Harley right past that stinky cop, he won't recognize it, haha." The blue-haired man laughed unrestrainedly.

The woman in shorts laughed, "Did you do this for me?"

"Of course."

"Cool." The woman in shorts tiptoed and gave the blue-haired man a kiss.

"Baby, hop on, I'll take you for a spin." The two got onto the Harley, one in front of the other.

The woman in shorts settled herself comfortably, "It's very comfy, much more so than any motorbike I've ridden before."

"Vroom vroom..." the blue-haired man started the motorcycle, which roared to life, "Cool."

Pier blocked the motorcycle, "Hey, you have to pay before you can ride off."

"Buddy, relax, I'm just test driving it."

Pier shook his head, "It's not personal, but rules are rules."

"OK."

The blue-haired man took out a wad of green bills from his jacket pocket and handed them to Pier.

After counting the money, Pier nodded slightly and said in a deep voice, "It's yours now."

"Haha... two treasures, we're off! Vroom vroom..." The blue-haired man revved the engine again, and the vehicle drove out of the backyard gate.

The blue-haired man suddenly sped up, causing the woman in shorts to scream in surprise.

Just as the motorcycle exited the gate, a police car came and blocked the way.

The blue-haired man hurriedly turned around, ready to escape in another direction.

Suddenly, a Ford Explorer came and blocked the motorcycle's path, trapping them.

"Fuck, are you guys insane?" the blue-haired man cursed aloud.

Four people got out of the vehicle—Luke, Pier, and the rookie patrol officer—and raised their guns, shouting, "LAPD, get off the motorcycle.

"Raise your hands!"

"Don't make any unnecessary movements!"

Commands barked one after the other left the blue-haired man and the woman in shorts dumbfounded.

The woman in shorts said in astonishment, "It's that black-haired stinky cop. Didn't you say he wouldn't recognize the bike? You're such an idiot."

The blue-haired man was equally stunned, having just made the final payment and ridden away on the motorcycle, only to be caught so coincidentally.

"LAPD! I'll say it again, get off the motorcycle, don't damage the motorcycle, and no sudden movements, or I will shoot immediately," Luke's tone was full of threat.

Rookie cop John asked, "Detective Chief Luke, I remember your car is supposed to be black, right?"

"You have a good memory. If you had found it earlier, it should still be black."

John "..."

The black female officer subdued the woman in shorts.

John pressed down on the man with blue hair's shoulder and handcuffed him, "You are suspected of stealing a black Harley. With the stolen goods caught red-handed, I am arresting you now according to the law.

You have the right to remain silent. If you do not remain silent..."

Luke took out his phone and snapped a photo of the blue-haired man's driver's license, "Kid, why did you steal my car?"

The blue-haired man glared, "Because I felt like it."

The woman in shorts said, "He stole the car, it has nothing to do with me."

"Elizabeth, what are you talking about?" the blue-haired man was baffled. "I was doing this to get back at someone for you."

"I don't need you to get back at anyone for me. Who do you think you are? Sneaking around stealing things won't get you anywhere. What kind of man are you? Just admit it, I never respected a man like you."

The blue-haired man snapped, "Fuck! You bitch! I've been so good to you, and this is how you see me?"

The woman in shorts coldly said, "You're just a loser."

"Fuck! I #@&%..." the blue-haired man curse furiously.

The woman in shorts continued with a disdainful look, just repeatedly saying, "Loser, loser..."

The blue-haired man was furious and tried to resist, but John pinned him to the ground until he calmed down, then he was thrown into the car.

The black female officer asked Luke, "Detective Chief, what about this woman?"

Luke eyed the woman in shorts; he recognized her instantly. It was the girl who had been caught making a fake driver's license by him last time.

Unlike their previous encounter, she now sported a pair of large silver earrings.

Was this chick getting her boyfriend to steal his Harley out of revenge on him?

"Detective Chief, I'm really sorry, but I truly had nothing to do with the stealing of the car. Considering we had a nice chat last time, could you let me off this time?

You know, I'm still a minor..."

"I don't care whether you're a minor or not, daring to steal my car, none of you will get away," Luke grabbed Elizabeth's arm and shoved her into the car.

"Ah! My arm is injured, you're hurting me."

"Don't play the pity card with me, I'm not that clueless blue-haired fool." Luke took out handcuffs and locked them on her himself.

The Harley was probably stolen because of this woman; Luke was not going to let her off easily.

He rolled up her sleeve to check and saw that there was indeed a bandage wrapped around her arm.

"I really am injured, you hurt me," Elizabeth said with a pitiful look.

Luke looked at her bandaged arm and the large silver earrings, recalling the buried body case, "How did you get injured?"

"A dog bit me, a stinking dog."

Luke laughed, "I have decided not to arrest you for theft."

"Detective Chief, thank you, you are really a good person." She thought her pretend pain had worked.

"Elizabeth, I am officially notifying you that you are suspected of being involved in a homicide. Please come with me to the station to assist with the investigation."
