Los Angeles Legendary Sleuth

Chapter 473: Case Closed

Luke said, "Marcus' analysis makes some sense, both of Ivony David's girlfriends died under unfortunate circumstances.

However, there's one point that doesn't add up.

Danielle Winters is the killer who ran over Kaya Ray; the current girlfriend killed the former girlfriend. This kind of relationship might be discovered by the police, increasing the chance of exposure.

If I were Ivony David, I would definitely avoid such a connection when choosing a target."

The deputy nodded, grateful there was still someone thinking straight. To avoid another spike in his blood pressure, he dared not let anyone else speculate and started speaking himself.

"Let's put Marcus' analysis aside for a moment; here's what I think.

From this photo, Ivony David and Kaya Ray should have been in a relationship and shared a sweet time, but Kaya Ray's parents disapproved of them being together. Kaya Ray never mentioned Ivony David again, and Kaya Ray's father wasn't very clear about their relationship.

However, judging from Kaya Ray's behavior of hiding the photo in a photo album, she hadn't forgotten Ivony David.

This indicates that there was a foundation of affection between the two.

So when Ivony David learned his girlfriend was killed in a traffic accident, would he seek revenge?

I think it's entirely possible."

Luke pondered for a moment, "If Ivony David and Kaya Ray's child were still together, then why didn't Ivony David go to the scene after Kaya Ray had the accident?

If Ivony David had gone to the scene, he should have seen Danielle Winters, from whom Danielle should have been wary, unwilling to get involved with him."

Matthew moved his gaze from the computer screen, "I can explain that. At the time, Ivony David was serving a sentence in prison for theft; the traffic accident occurred more than a month later, and Ivony David was released after completing his sentence.

He didn't want to go; he just couldn't."

"Well done." The deputy raised a thumb to Matthew, continuing, "This aligns with my speculation. Kaya Ray's accident occurred, and Ivony David couldn't get to the scene due to unavoidable circumstances.

By the time Ivony David was released from jail, he discovered his girlfriend had been killed, which could lead to helplessness and anger pushing someone to lose their sanity.

He decided to avenge his deceased girlfriend. Perhaps this was his real motive for approaching Danielle Winters."

Little Black felt the deputy's analysis wasn't necessarily more insightful than his own and was somewhat indignant, "This is speculation as well; do you have any evidence?"

The deputy said, "Why not just interrogate Ivony David? Wasn't he arrested for stealing Danielle Winters' mother's car?"

Luke said, "Since he showed good attitude in confessing and helped the police find the suspect vehicle.

The police station agreed to his bail request; he left the station an hour ago."

"What are you waiting for? Hurry and find him, track the car, credit cards, mobile phone location...

Use any means, don't let this guy escape."

Luke spread his hands, "Evidence!

We still lack the crucial evidence to convict him.

You weren't here during the meeting; the technical team's verification report came out, confirming Little William Moses strangled Danielle Winters with handcuffs.

Even if Ivony David is a suspect, we can't prove his involvement in Danielle Winters' death."

The deputy frowned, "Can we be sure Little William Moses strangled Danielle Winters? Isn't it too hasty?"

"From the current evidence, it seems so. There were no third-party fingerprints or DNA on the handcuffs. To overturn this conclusion, new evidence must be found."

The deputy thought for a moment, "Does Ivony David have an alibi?"

"No."

The deputy breathed a sigh of relief, "Then let's find evidence he's the mastermind."

Luke nodded, "I'll apply for phone tracking, and once the location is determined, everyone will split up to follow him. It's better to lose track than to be discovered by him, understood?"

"Understood, sir."

Soon, the technical team determined Ivony David's location through phone tracking.

Luke also brought people close to follow him.

Luke arranged three groups of people to take turns tailing, avoiding being discovered by Ivony David.

Group three is now in charge of the follow-up, with Raymond and Jenny.

Jenny stared out the window, opened the walkie-talkie, and said, "Group three calling group one, we spotted Ivony David. He just walked out of a flower shop holding a bunch of pink flowers."

The deputy asked on the walkie-talkie, "What flowers?"

Jenny took out a binocular and observed carefully, "Jasmine."

The deputy spoke confidently, "That's Kaya Ray's favorite flower. Sure enough, he still loves Kaya Ray.

This guy is definitely the killer."

The deputy rubbed his chin, analyzing, "He just bought Kaya Ray's favorite flowers. If I'm not mistaken, he's definitely going to see Kaya Ray."

Luke asked, "Do you know where Kaya Ray's grave is?"

"I don't know, but I chatted with Kaya Ray's father quite a bit; we can go ask him."

...

An hour later.

A taxi stopped at Angel Cemetery.

A white male about 30 years old got out of the car holding a bouquet of jasmine flowers.

This white male is Ivony David.

It's only a half-hour drive from the flower shop to the cemetery, but to avoid being followed, he switched taxis twice and took a detour before arriving at the cemetery.
