In this way, when the next update comes, he can directly become level 51, reaching the Silver Level of power.
Hu Wan nodded.
"Okay, thanks. I'm just one level away... it shouldn't take too long to max out."
"No need to be polite," Yiye Zhiqu smiled lightly and continued, "Didn't we agree back when we teamed up that the one who levels up first would help the others?"
Hu Wan was momentarily stunned, then said with a mix of crying and laughter.
"That was so long ago... you still remember."
"Of course, I do."
Yiye Zhiqu smiled, patting him on the shoulder, and then glanced around.
"We've been online for almost eight hours, let's take a break, grab a bite to eat, take a shower or something... what about you two, Tauren, Pigman?"
The Minotaur Warrior grinned, sticking his shield in the ground.
"We're good with anything! Just follow your lead."
The Pig-headed Knight nodded vigorously.
"That's right! I can even skip a meal!"
Yiye Zhiqu coughed.
"We should still eat..."
The four of them agreed on the next time to log in, then tidied up the battlefield, collecting usable loot and materials, before heading toward an inconspicuous small mark on the map.
It was a temporary base they set up half a month ago— a hidden cave. The entire camp was built according to the terrain, with a rudimentary perimeter of stones and beast bones and even traps using the Blazing Burst magic Yiye Zhiqu just learned.
Entering the cave, a slightly damp air hit them, washing away the blood scent dried by the wind and sand on their bodies.
A pile of makeshift beds and storage stone boxes lay in the corner, and the remains of a barbecue from last night were still near the fire.
Skeletons don't need to eat, but the Lizardman characters do.
In the corner of the cave, there's a very real buried pit made by Brother Pigman as his defense.
Finding a clean spot to sit down, Yiye Zhiqu gave a final word to his teammates.
"See you in a bit."
"Catch you later!"
He nodded, called up the player system interface, and selected the logout button.
With a flash of light and shadow, the weight of the VR headset reappeared on his nose.
Although his body never left his home, there was a feeling of disorientation like traveling back from another time and space.
Taking a deep breath, Yiye Zhiqu removed his VR headset and sat up from the bed.
Beneath him was the soft mattress, and around him was the low hum of the air conditioner, in front of a simply decorated but tidy bedroom.
Light gray walls, beige curtains, a wooden desk with a few half-read magazines and a laptop in standby mode.
He quietly surveyed his surroundings, taking a while to fully escape the oppressive atmosphere of Aus Planet filled with a sense of doom.
The real world brought a delicate sense of disharmony to his body.
He looked at himself in the mirror. Though not frail—he hadn't wasted his gym membership—his physical body felt too fragile compared to his game character, which could hurl Fireballs and jump over ten meters as a Skeleton Mage.
It was like falling from a god to a mortal.
Ye Zhiqiu rubbed his slightly sore shoulders and walked barefoot to the desk, pulling out a chair to sit down.
His fingers tapped the mouse, waking up the screen, and the familiar official website interface immediately appeared—
[Catastrophe OL Official Website].
Sure enough, the forum section was exploding.
Lines of hot threads with little flame icons dominated the homepage.
"Whoa! They're using scripts, right?! I've been grinding non-stop and only made it to level 30, how did they max out?! T.T"
"Kneeling here, what does level 50 even mean? Can one of the experts explain?"
"Can you carry me! Yiye Zhiqu, want to team up?! I can be an accessory! QAQ"
"Seriously suspect it's an inside job..."
Various styles of threads were flooding in—from admiration, envy, jealousy to sour suspicion.
Yiye Zhiqu just smiled, not taking it seriously.
However, with the sentiment of "joy shared is joy doubled," he casually typed up a thread title—
[Level 50 Skeleton Mage's Leveling Experience and Thoughts]
This wasn't to show off, just to share some gaming insights with newcomers—
He continued writing in the main text.
[Thanks for the invite, I'm at level 50, feeling great.
Thanks to all the bros for their support, but Fine Steel Level isn't much; above it lie Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and other higher tiers awaiting everyone... I'm at most just past the novice stage.
Catastrophe OL has many ways to play, not just leveling up. But for players like me who are passionate about combat professions, I hope my experiences can give you some inspiration.
My personal feeling is— for fast leveling, you have to find a way on Kao Planet.
Aus Planet (let's just call it that) is too diverse, better suited for free exploration and immersive adventure experiences, as well as earning Contribution Points. Unlike Kao Planet, where pleasing the gods there only requires battlefield combat.
But correspondingly, Contribution Values and Joss Paper gains are smaller, and materials from monster drops devalue due to oversupply, so it might be more economically taxing.
My only advice to magic players is to prepare a lot of Mana Potions. Compared to the flashy Magic Potions sold in NPC shops, sustaining Magic is the ultimate god, and DPS equals experience!
That's about all for now; leveling has no tricks, it's all about miracles through hard work, and seamless team cooperation and good logistics.
By the way, looking forward to higher levels being unlocked on the official site soon!
