The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 86 Mechanical Temple_2

"Damn it! How did he find our trap?!"

"Frost Magic! Damn! This magic-wielding human, he's discovered our weakness!"

"We can't let him advance any further! The territory ahead belongs to the Iron Teeth Tribe! We cannot lose our mines!"

"We must do something!"

"Release the big one!"

"Are you sure?!"

"Sure! Quick!"

"But who will go to release it?!"

"You go!"

"No! You go!!"

"I'll never ride that thing that hasn't been tested!"

A group of Mole People screeched and squabbled, shoving each other... These noisy fellows were only like ratmen when they were scared.

It was hopeless.

Fighting was not their forte, and the fact that the enemy could use magic made it much more difficult than dealing with those clumsy rock golems.

Finally, three Mole People were squeezed out and, with the urging of their tribespeople, crawled toward the depths of the tunnel with faces full of dismay.

Meanwhile, Luo Yan and his companions, after passing through the corridors and archways on the walls, entered a spacious area.

The place resembled both an abandoned industrial warehouse and a steam punk-style temple.

Huge metal gears, like shrines in a temple, were arranged against the walls in some special pattern.

What was even more striking was the mountain of trash piled up in the center of the great hall... Densely packed parts and old pipelines accumulated here, presumably the materials used to create those explosive robots.

Luo Yan scanned his surroundings.

If there was something missing here, all he could think of was probably a statue of Linte Isaac.

"...Such a desecrated temple, clearly not the work of Hell creatures, but indeed monsters that have spread from the nearby mountains."

Just then, Sarah's cat ears on top of her head twitched, and her amber eyes alertly scanned the area as if she had spotted a mouse.

"There's a noise..."

As she spoke, she sniffed lightly, becoming more certain of her discovery.

"The smell of rats—"

Her voice had barely fallen when a deafening roar erupted from behind the colossal mountain of trash!

"You're the rat! Your whole family are rats!!!"

The raucous noise was like a microphone against a fan, the sudden burst of sound so startling that Sarah, who had been fully alert to her surroundings, fluffed up, involuntarily letting out a hiss.

Octo and Bond immediately gripped their weapons tightly, one standing in front of the Demon King and the other in front of Sarah.

It was at the same time that Luo Yan saw what could easily be ranked among the top ten most shocking sights he had encountered since arriving in this world—

"Holy shit!"

A Gundam?!

The thing was obviously not a Gundam—

But it was a magnified version of a "mechanical public enemy."

At the peak of that trash mountain stood a towering trash giant!

It was at least five meters tall—

Might even be six meters!

Since its limbs were all stretched out on the ground, Luo Yan couldn't determine its actual height and had to guess roughly on intuition.

Twisted metal supports along with discarded gears and bearings formed its skeleton, also propping up that inflated armor shell, looking from afar like a discolored pumpkin with vines.

Its limbs were abnormally thick, and none of them were symmetrical.

So much so that Luo Yan was unsure whether to be amazed by how the creature managed to maintain its balance or to marvel at the terrifying inscription technology.

The massive metal construction had no head, or rather, its head was hidden within the most heavily armored part of its belly.

Watching the shape that was either comical or miraculous, Luo Yan managed to keep his dignified expression as he spoke.

"Who are you!"

The clamorous voice echoed once more through the temple, filled with mechanical parts, as the giant atop the mountain of trash let out an unsettled roar.

"You don't need to know! Gabeng, Guangguang, and Zhuangzhuang will smash you into potato pancakes!!! Have you ever seen a potato pancake? You will die! All of you will die!"

Perhaps it was the thought of potato pancakes.

Sarah couldn't help but swallow her saliva.

Gabeng, Guangguang, and Zhuangzhuang... So there were three operators inside the belly of this big guy?

You've just told me that, haven't you?

Looking at the bellowing mechanical giant, Luo Yan felt indescribably speechless.

Although he always felt that the creature before him wasn't very smart, no one could guarantee it wasn't a ploy to deceive the enemy, so he still took up a posture ready for battle.

"Prepare for battle."

As he spoke, a ghostly glow gathered at the tip of his staff, and slowly, white bones began to emerge from the void.

When leveling up, Luo Yan usually practiced fire or water magic, which he wasn't very proficient in, or he would use Dragon Tongue.

But as he couldn't estimate the fighting power of this foe, he decided to use Undead Magic, which he was best at, just to be safe.

Watching the light flicker at the tip of the magic wand, the huge robot let out another irate roar.

"It's magic!"

"Quick! Act now!"

"Turn off the loudspeaker before you speak! Idiot! He heard you!"

Accompanied by a sharp racket, the mechanical giant slowly lifted its arms, planted on the ground, revealing the cannons hidden in its palms.

Luo Yan's pupils contracted slightly, and he quickly changed the rhythm of waving his wand, uttering a spell.

"Wall of Skeletons!"

From the void, bones emerged to form an impenetrable wall in front of everyone!

Almost simultaneously, two explosive booms echoed from the trash mountain.

"Bang bang——!"

The first cannonball whistled past, nearly grazing the bone wall and exploding on the floor, sending countless rock fragments and dust towards the semi-circular bone wall!

The first cannonball was fired in vain, and the second did not fare any better, blasting cleanly through the ceiling.

Initially, Luo Yan thought it might be some kind of strategic move, like maybe the target wasn't him, but something hanging above his head... He even tensed up because of it.

It wasn't until he saw the giant robot, unable to withstand the recoil from firing, lose its balance and tumble directly down from the trash mountain, landing in a sorry heap on the ground, that Luo Yan realized his concerns were a complete waste of emotion...

Watching the "big guy" lying on the ground, unable to get up, the Mole People hiding in the darkness had faces written with despair.

"No!"

"Damn it!!"

"These idiots! That's not how you operate the big guy!"

"..."

Looking at the metallic pumpkin that had rolled off the pumpkin vine, Luo Yan lowered his magic wand and called out expressionlessly,

"Do you want to keep fighting?"

It wasn't long before.

The metal hatch opened outward, raising a white flag.

What followed was a tremulous voice.

"Surrender surrender surrender..."

"We surrender! We surrender!"
