"It's Teacher Xia."
Oshen's expression darkened:
"She really has started acting recklessly, she must have found some opportunity! Atreya Nightwind, drive to the base, we must log into the game immediately. She could send us crucial information at any moment, and if necessary, we might have to hide in the game indefinitely."
"Are you crazy?" Yin Shuwen widened his eyes, "At a time like this, you still care about opportunities, she's our companion! Are you going to watch her self-destruct her Divine Country and go to her death?"
"Aren't there enough dead companions already?"
Oshen finally made up his mind and said coldly:
"After losing the War Beyond the Abyss, we've been in decline. Companions who died in war, those who sacrificed themselves for the 'From Star Abyss' plan, which one of them wasn't a true death? Someone has to carry their sacrifices forward!"
"And you're just going to let our teacher do something foolish? If she dies, what happens to the Caramel Snail?"
"Elevent, we're all destined to die."
Oshen spoke:
"If we're already committed to revolution, then don't expect it to be without bloodshed. Self-destruction of the Divine Country is inevitable, we need to seriously accept Teacher Xia's legacy to not let her sacrifice go in vain. You want to save everyone, that's admirable, but have you thought: A fruit gained without sacrifice gives no reason for it to be cherished."
Yin Shuwen pursed his lips, his throat bobbed once, and he spoke in a low voice.
"Then are you going to follow Leoz's path, achieving your goals by any means necessary, even if it requires usurpation?"
At the mention of those words, the already tense Oshen couldn't hold back any longer, he lunged forward, yelling at Yin Shuwen:
"I have no damn choice, Elevent! We have nothing left, the current Primordial Abyss is an outdated civilization, full of untapped potential but with nowhere to apply it. Our spirit is wilted, thousands of years of peace have made you soft!"
"Have you forgotten who we are?"
"We are Samurai with blades ready to strike, not diplomats or philanthropists! If I could, I wouldn't want anyone to die, how could I not know how formidable Xia Yubing's command ability is, how close she is with the Caramel Snail?"
"My lord Morphederia is dead, the only Chief God left in the abyss is Lai Anding, who's trying to turn us all into slaves. We've come to this point, and you still dream of avoiding deaths, peacefully settling things like playing a game?"
"To hell with that!"
"When I was opposing Leoz, you were in the Art Universe building a Mage Tower brick by brick. I have fought openly and in the shadows with Leoz for millions of years, I hate his methods more than anyone, but does that help? Does it make a difference?"
He grabbed Yin Shuwen's collar, gritting his teeth, extremely unwilling and helplessly yelling:
"Leoz—He's wiser than us, his tyranny and dictatorship allowed the Dominating Universe to endure till the end! What can I do? I'm not a leader, I can only mimic him!"
"Source Starry Abyss! I'm simply a person trying to defend the Chief God, a loyal vassal guarding our homeland, never dreamed that a mere henchman like me would become a leader, leading a rebellion against the leader who lifted me up and awakened me! Rebellion against Lai Anding!"
He released Yin Shuwen's collar, collapsing in the carriage, clutching his head in agony, growling lowly:
"I never expected to commit betrayal, if Lai Anding's methods weren't so brutal, I wouldn't even think of rebelling. Do you think I feel good about this?"
"I, Oshen, labeled as an Evil God for a million years! A million years! I endured until returning from the Nether Abyss before clearing my name! Now a heavy boomerang strikes back at me—I actually damn well rebelled!"
"But what choice do I have? Other than Gio Zieou, only I and Leoz remain who understand the Cognition Filter."
"Leoz, you view him as cruel, unwilling to work with him, yet for every little misstep I make, you attack me. If you're so capable, do it yourself!"
"Enough!"
Jiang Zhanguo yelled:
"It's true a scholar's conspiracy falls short, you two are truly something, thousands of years of comfort have dulled your bloodiness indeed!"
"...I have nothing to say. It's my fault for sowing discord within the team."
Yin Shuwen adjusted his clothes, speaking coldly:
"But Oshen, you truly are not fit to be a leader, once we find Gio Zieou, let him lead the team."
"I never intended to lead the team, from the time I was created, I was meant to aid my lord as the second-in-command, the Chief God's blade, clearing obstacles for him."
Oshen's emotions quickly calmed, forcing himself to remain composed, trying hard to mimic Leoz's posture when speaking in the Pantheon of old:
"Atreya Nightwind, drive to the base, we're getting on the game, we can't let Teacher Xia's sacrifice be in vain—Elevent, do you have any objections?"
"No objections."
Yin Shuwen leaned against a pillow, exhaling a turbid breath, speaking indifferently:
"The Primordial God Clan was created for a purpose, let those professional people do professional things, while we, protect this environment where expertise thrives."
"Then who leads the Starry Abyss?" Jiang Zhanguo pressed the accelerator, interjecting, "We can use Gio Zieou as a temporary combat leader because that's his expertise, but who should lead the Starry Abyss?"
"I don't know, but even Gio Zieou can't command unanimous support."
Oshen repeatedly clenched and unclenched his fists, mumbling:
"If only there were another Chief God."
Soon after.
Jiang Zhanguo parked the vehicle in the distance, activated stealth camouflage, and the group walked down with small steps, through the waterway, arriving at the secret base.
Pulling the virtual wedge from the backs of their necks, the dim basement before them instantly transformed into a fortress filled with weaponry and equipment.
Oshen moved forward, his red-black porcelain hand grasping a trident from the weapon rack, casually wielding it a few times before nodding passably:
"Barely usable, although a replica, it should suffice against the deities hunting us down."
"You want the real thing? Who knows where Lai Anding confiscated all our Divine Artifacts."
Atreya Nightwind, a Samurai of the Destructive God Race, clad in armor adorned with cloud patterns, with a helmet resembling a wolf. He brandished one long and one short blade with vigor, releasing his Divine Power to store them within his Divine Country:
"These weapons were crafted with great effort by other awakened Samurai, it's fortunate to have them to use. Looking on the bright side, at least here in the Primordial Abyss, we're not restricted by curses and Strength, hard to catch by Lai Anding's guards."
