Meteor Fall Master in the 'Starry Abyss'

Chapter 202: Dragon Island (Part 19)

Upon reviewing the messages from his subordinates, there was news regarding the whereabouts of the [Infinite Dragon Demon] set. The White Scarf Strongmen were already searching for it, likely resolving the issue without his intervention.

The main focus, however, was how to determine the fate of the Dragon Race.

Overall, letting the Doomsday Judgment descend and watching the Dragon Race head toward annihilation would not be favorable for the environment of the Starry Abyss. The fall of Dragon Island would mean that the power of the Void directly taints the Border Abyss, igniting the ninth Void Realm War. This would allow the Earthlings and the [Society] to take advantage during the ensuing chaos and profit from the struggle.

But for him, the fall of Dragon Island would provide him with certain benefits, a set of achievements from his past life that were most familiar—complete graduation equipment and countless Guerrilla Stars to push his personal Strength to the extreme.

So, at what cost?

Li Aozi crossed his hands over his chest, and his eyes glimmered with the silver light of Ether.

After advancing to the [Hunter King], he began to truly recognize the advantages of bloodlines. Changing bloodlines would provide different Species advantages and amplifications.

The advantage of Earthlings was their intelligence.

With an Earthling mindset, Li Aozi began to scrutinize Dragon Island from a new perspective.

Dragon Island itself wasn't strong at all, even relatively weak. Its advantage lay merely in its vast economic scale and the lingering prestige of the Dragon Race.

But if the focus shifts beyond Dragon Island... Dragon Island ranks eighth within the Alliance, enjoying generous resource allocations.

[What if Dragon Island were pushed to the first rank, what would happen?]

There's a vast difference between eighth and first. As a Narrative Civilization, a Grand Narrative prioritizes above all. If Dragon Island becomes the first, it basically means it becomes the leader of the narrative.

Typical Starry Abyss people wouldn't think this way. Their mindset is relatively rigid compared to Earth, often leading to a binary choice when faced with such decisions.

[Is it possible to help Dragon Island win the competition?]

Earthling thinking is bold.

They not only dare to envision having it all, but also come up with numerous methods.

[For victory, all means are justified...]

Li Aozi nodded and prepared to leave.

.........

The Chief of Dragon Island, Sodolegoras, was a very peculiar Dragon Race member.

The Superior Dragon Clan usually transformed into Elves, while ancient beings like the [Midnight Lord] transformed into Trolls. These represent the forms of the strongest Species experienced during the golden era of the Longevity Breed.

Yet, the form Sodolegoras assumed was a peculiar existence.

The old Chieftain knelt on both knees before the Shrine, his body porcelain-skinned and jade-boned, clad in black-green Armor, his face shrouded by azure electric light.

This was undoubtedly a member of the Starry Abyss Divine Race, one of the oldest and most numerous Destructive God Races.

As the Golden Dragon Monk Yachi saw the chieftain's appearance, he instantly understood his background.

'A remnant of the War Beyond the Rear Abyss…'

The so-called era of the War Beyond the Rear Abyss referred to the time when the Sovereign Universe was breached, countless Divine Clans and refugees poured into the Starry Abyss, and many [Society] entities pursued them, leading to a tumultuous period of difficult battles for major civilizations and narratives.

For the Divine Clan, narratives, and [Society], that was an unwelcome black history.

The Divine Clan was beaten to the point of losing their Armor and abandoning their helmets. Some couldn't bear the humiliation and committed suicide by jumping into the Nether Abyss. More simply became hermits in the Mass Abyss. Others chose to cooperate with Narrative Civilizations or regional civilizations to continue their Godhood and Will. And some tore off their façades, fully degenerating into Evil Gods, committing arson, murder, and robbery, surviving in hiding.

Narrative Civilizations hadn't encountered [Society] before, and the young civilizations, even ones as unified as the Void across the Starry Abyss, had a piece of them carved away by [Society]. With the refugee and Divine Clan issues, major Narrative Civilizations were marred by scandals.

[Society] doesn't want to recall that era either. They thought they had entered the Starry Abyss like wolves among sheep, ready to slaughter and devour indiscriminately.

However, they did not expect hunters hidden among the sheep. The Narrative Civilization wielded a hunting gun and began the counterattack, leaving [Society] stunned.

In the era of the War Beyond the Abyss, the Divine Clan was undoubtedly the protagonists.

They were the last protagonists, having once hovered above all. But when they truly arrived nearby, they shattered the beautified illusion Narrative Civilizations held about deities.

Divine Clan Warriors were indeed brave and battle-hardened, but after losing, they became locust swarms, evaded by the common folks.

It's said that two Narrative Civilizations in the Nether Abyss weren't originally there; they lived in the Mass Abyss. Unable to endure the influx of defeated Divine Clans, they decided to move to the Nether Abyss, choosing separation rather than coexisting with the Divine Clans.

The second Narrative—"Darkstream Settlement"

Their leader, [Lord Yinliu], Hisman Yinliu, initially sympathized and sheltered the defeated Divine Clans but soon clashed with the heads of the defeated Divine Clans. The Divine Clan hermits took over, driven by anger, brought their people to the Nether Abyss.

The third Narrative—"Immortal Royal Court"

The [Immortal Emperor] Nulahamiya repeatedly clashed with defeated Divine Clans over belief issues. The divine emphasized faith in the Primordial Abyss, only recognizing its dominion. They refused to respect the culture and beliefs of the Immortal Clan. Battles erupted, but they were evenly matched.

Nulahamiya proposed a duel to settle their disputes, and the Divine Clan leader verbally agreed. However, an act of cheating occurred, exploiting Lai Anding's protection, and after being killed, he revived on the spot and launched a countersneak attack, defeating Nulahamiya and banishing the Immortal Clan.

These two Narratives are likely the ones that most resent the Primordial Abyss and the Starry Abyss Divine Race.

But when compared to the lower tiers of the Starry Abyss, or the 2nd and 3rd Narrative Civilizations, firmly in a domineering position, other Narrative Civilizations didn't have as strained a relationship with the Starry Abyss Divine Race.

No need to mention the Layer Abyss, as their curse limits even the strongest Divine Clans to the Kappa Rank (10) of movement. The Divine Clan Warriors could only behave obediently. With Redd Gold's renowned prestige, the Starry Abyss Divine Race gradually integrated into the Layer Abyss, and the temple's ceramic skin comes from here.

Border Abyss was in a better state, their territory large enough, with Divine Clans wandering, leaving behind many offspring and bloodlines.

The situation in the Void was a bit complex, as the [Void Emperor] held one-third of a Chief God's title. He was a significant Attraction, subduing many Divine Clan Warriors to serve under him, while others saw potential in the Path of the Void and chose to convert.

Mass Abyss had to be seen in two facets.

On one hand, within Mass Abyss, the Divine Clan Warriors were unshackled, able to exert all their Martial Force. Consequently, nearly 80% of the Starry Abyss Divine Race ended up hiding in Mass Abyss.

On the other hand, too many Divine Clans arrived, becoming overly complacent. They overlooked an aspect… this place had original inhabitants.

Not only existed, but the natives had developed into a Narrative Civilization, comprising as many as four Narrative Civilizations.
