Ray had been chasing for nearly half an hour and finally caught up with the police car convoy on Route 20 in the southern part of Fort Worth. The cash transport heist was a major case. It crashed into a car parked in front of the house, where the police successfully halted it.

The other robbers' vehicle, after turning, switched routes at the intersection and wasn't stopped. The following police cars continued the chase.

Ray didn't continue driving to chase the fleeing vehicle but stopped not far from the halted robbers' car. Several police cars stopped as well, and the robbers, having crashed the car, had already left it with guns in hand and rushed into the nearest house, knowing too well that they couldn't outrun the numerous police cars and officers on foot.

The houses here were single-family homes, not high-rise apartments like in the city, with small front lawns and backyards. Because the police didn't shoot when the robbers got out, they managed to run smoothly into the house. Although the door was locked, the robbers seemed professional, kicking it open with one strike—something Jimmy had to learn several times to achieve in one go.

Shortly after the robbers entered the house, there were screams inside, which then went silent, probably indicating the homeowner had been taken hostage.

The police had surrounded the house from the front, back, and sides; however, because the robbers were armed with rifles and shotguns, the police stayed quite far back, using cover carefully to avoid exposing themselves to the robbers' gunfire.

The number of police on the scene today definitely exceeded the norm, with more than half having chased after the other vehicle. Still, there remained more than twenty officers at the scene, with fewer from the FBI since there was only one vehicle not a police car, namely the one driven by Ray, meaning only Ray and Jimmy were there.

After Ray got out of the car, he took a Bullet-Proof Vest from the trunk, put it on, and carrying an M16, approached the police for a briefing, temporarily taking over command. He arranged for the sergeant to call the Special Police Team for support; before their arrival, they kept the suspects contained.

Jimmy and Ray had already hung their FBI badges around their necks, so despite wearing casual jeans and cowboy hats, no one stopped them.

Drawing his revolver, Jimmy approached the house from the side. The current tactical plan was clearly to contain and wait for the Special Police Team. Scouting in advance was beneficial.

Three robbers had exited the vehicle earlier, and now there were five shadows inside the house—one sitting on the floor, two near a window surveilling, and two more in a room. Soon, the latter two came out, one joining the person on the floor, which indicated those were likely the homeowners.

Jimmy cautiously circled the vicinity, picking spots to observe the people inside, all from blind spots to ensure safety. With the homeowners controlled, the three robbers inside also drew the curtains, covering any view into the house.

After making a round, Jimmy returned to Ray's side.

Jimmy:"Ray, how long until the Special Police Team gets here?"

Ray, looking at the house, told Jimmy, "Fifteen minutes, twenty at most. The Special Police Team's base is on the other side of the city, and this area is too remote."
