SSR Waifu Summoner

Chapter 92: Pull! Pull! Pull! (Part 1)

The isolated corner Nero had found was perfect for what he was about to do.

Hidden behind a cluster of stone formations that had erupted during the world's transformation, far enough from the celebration that nobody would wander by accidentally.

Because what he was planning would definitely attract attention if anyone saw it.

'Alright, let's do this.'

He pulled up the gacha interface with the kind of reverence usually reserved for religious ceremonies.

The colorful display materialized before him in all its premium glory, showing the various banners available for pulling.

His fingers itched with anticipation.

42 Premium Waifu Tickets sat in his inventory like promises of destiny.

52 Premium Relic Tickets waited for their turn.

But first things first.

'I need to be strategic about this.'

Despite every fiber of his gacha-addicted soul screaming to just spam pulls and pray to RNGesus, his more rational side knew better, especially after all the shit they went through.

He'd learned the hard way that thoughtless pulling led to regret and empty wallets.

Or in this case, wasted tickets on waifus he didn't actually need.

'Let me think about team composition.'

His analytical mind kicked in as he mentally reviewed their current roster.

Two vanguard swordsmen with him and Aurelia handling frontline combat.

One support specialist in Celis who could heal, resurrect, and provide buffs.

'We're missing ranged damage dealers.'

The realization hit him immediately.

Any good fantasy team or RPG team must at least contain a mage for an explosive power when things come clutch or wiping out mass mobs.

'No mage, no archer, nobody who can hit enemies from a distance or provide area control.'

It was a glaring weakness in their formation.

Sure, Aurelia could throw out Divine Slash at range, and he had his own techniques.

But a proper magic user would add versatility and more than enough firepower they desperately needed.

A glass cannon or someone who can cast broken magic that can nuke their enemies would've made things 1000x easier if only he had more waifu units.

"..."

There's a mixed feeling of regret and relief, thinking about how he saved his Waifu Tickets all these times.

He was regretting it considering that all casualties could've been prevented if he had pulled for more waifus for support before the battle.

But now, he was relieved that he actually saved it and he did not pull hastily.

'Considering my "great" gacha luck and the fact that the Waifu Summoner System was actually restrained and replaced by an imposter system of the Earth…'

Well, it wouldn't be unexpected if he didn't just get R-tier waifus, but actually C-tier ones or even none at all…

It was a good save.

Nero felt like he dodged a close bullet as he went back to the topic,

'Aria, can you help me narrow down the options?'

[Of course, Master! Aria lives to assist with optimization!]

Her enthusiastic voice practically vibrated with excitement.

[Based on Master's current team composition and tactical needs, Aria has the perfect recommendation!]

*Whoosh!*

The gacha interface shifted, dozens of spotlights dimming until only one remained brilliantly lit.

The figure revealed made Nero's jaw drop slightly.

She was petite, probably barely reaching his shoulder in height.

Pointed ears marked her as an elf, though the high cheekbones and elegant features suggested high elf specifically.

Her short pink hair fell in perfect waves past her waist, and her heterochromic eyes of light pink and baby blue held an intelligence that seemed to pierce through the holographic display.

But it was her outfit that really caught his attention.

Scholar's fantasy robes in deep navy blue, form-fitting enough to reveal a slender figure despite the modest cut.

Intricate magical symbols were embroidered along the hem and sleeves, glowing faintly with power.

She held an ornate wooden staff imbued with colorful gems that looked more like a work of natural art than a weapon, topped with a crystal in center that pulsed with contained magical energy.

The showcase animation displayed her casting various spells with fluid precision.

Each gesture was decisive and complex, wasting no movement as multiple layered magical circles materialized in the air.

Fire bloomed at her fingertips.

Ice crystallized into deadly projectiles.

Lightning danced between her hands.

Wind formed protective barriers.

The variety and control on display was absolutely mesmerizing.

===

'Holy shit.'

Nero read the description three times to make sure he wasn't hallucinating.

'She literally changed how magic works across all worlds?'

The implications were staggering.

This wasn't just some talented mage.

This was someone who'd advanced the entire field of magical study to revolutionary heights.

'And she's gorgeous too.'

His degenerate side couldn't help but appreciate the aesthetic package.

That mesmerizing young beauty combined with those intelligent eyes that promised both power and grace.

The petite frame that somehow exuded confidence and authority despite her small stature.

The chest was premium medium along with her butt.

If Aurelia is the textbook definition of "perfect", and Celis is the definition of "stacked mommy", then he found the "legal loli" of his harem that basically screams cuteness…

[Aria made sure to factor in Master's preferences when selecting recommendations!]

The system assistant sounded incredibly proud of herself.

[Master has shown appreciation for both intellectual capability and physical beauty, so Aria optimized accordingly!]

'You're telling me you picked her specifically because she fits one of my types?'

[Exactly! Aria's recommendation algorithm takes everything into account!]

"..."

He couldn't even be mad about that.

Because she was absolutely right.

Luna hit every checkbox he had for an ideal waifu.

Smart, powerful, beautiful, and with achievements that proved she was leagues above ordinary individuals.

'Alright, I'm convinced. She's definitely who I want.'

… In both comp team and harem that is.

All is well, but then,

"..."

Reality crashed back in as he remembered how gacha games actually worked.

'Wait, is there a pity system?'

The question was crucial.

In most gacha games, you were guaranteed to get the featured character after a certain number of pulls without success.

50 pulls, 90 pulls, something that prevented you from being completely fucked over by bad luck.

[Yes, Master! The Waifu System has a 50/50 pity mechanism!]

Relief flooded through him.

[After 50 pulls without obtaining an SSR-tier summon, Master is guaranteed to receive one! However, it's a 50% chance of getting the featured selected banner character versus a random SSR from the general pool!]

'So it's the standard gacha rules then.'

He could work with that.

But to be honest?

Considering it has 50 pulls as the triggering limit for a guaranteed SSR waifu is actually very generous.

'But if I lose the 50/50, the next SSR is guaranteed to be the selected one, right?'

[Correct! Losing the 50/50 activates the guarantee for the next pity!]

'Okay, so in the worst case scenario, I need 100 pulls to guarantee Luna.'

Nero thanked the new system for adding the character selection feature even in just the standard Premium Waifu Banner, not just the Time-Limited.

But then, he looked at his 42 tickets with renewed worry.

Despite saving since the start of the apocalypse, the old system was never generous with him when it comes to waifu tickets.

Other than the 10 tickets that he got, there's nothing more he earned other than the monster loot drops and skills…

Even with him saving, he only gathered less than 50 to trigger a guaranteed SSR.

'I'm not even halfway there.'

His historically cursed gacha luck echoed in his mind.

All those mobile games where he'd gone to hard pity multiple times.

The pain of losing 50/50s to characters he didn't want.

The agony of banner after banner giving him nothing but minimum rarity garbage.

'Please, RNGesus, just this once, be kind to me.'

[Master shouldn't worry too much! The rates are quite generous! And with the old system not restraining the Waifu Summoner System anymore, Master's "bad luck" should've been gone too!]

Aria sounded her encouragement as if there's really nothing to worry about.

… And then she reminded,

[R-tier is 97.949%, SR-tier is 2.000%, SSR-tier is 0.050%, and UR-tier is 0.001%!]

'Let alone SSR-tier, at this point won't I even have a hard time pulling for an SR-tier waifus?'

97.949% means it's pretty much guaranteed for the R-tier waifus to fill his card inventory for each pull.

2.000% for SR-tier waifus… That's a 1 in 50 chance. He'll probably pull one of these days if he can hoard more tickets.

0.050% for SSR meant he had a 1 in 2000 chance per individual pull… He could pull for days and still not get one.

And as for UR-tier…

That's about 1 in 100,000 chance… he's more likely to get struck by lightning and win the lottery at the same time.

So, let's not talk about that.

"..."

Nero looked at the amount of tickets that he has so far.

Even with all 42 Premium Waifu Tickets, his odds weren't great.

He was adamant on pulling, but at the same time, he knew it's time to build a very reliable and apocalyptic-proof waifus of his own.

He doesn't want to experience the hardcore difficulty that he experienced when facing Vincent and Vex'ahlia anymore…

'... You know what? Fuck it. Let's just pull and see what happens.'

He'd learned long ago that overthinking gacha only made the disappointment worse.

Better to just rip off the bandaid and deal with whatever results came.

It's time to gamble!

'Let's do the first 10-pull.'

The interface offered multi-pull options that increased the chances of getting SR-tier waifus and higher.

Too bad it isn't at least a guaranteed SR waifus for each 10 pulls…

Oh well, it's a much better odds than single pulls.

He selected the 10x option, watching as 10 of his precious tickets vanished from his inventory. Making it 42 to 32 in an instant.

*Whoosh!*

The screen exploded with light and color.

Magical circles materialized in the air before him, spinning and rotating as reality bent around the summoning process.

This was way more elaborate than the simple blue boxes his old system had used.

This was a full goddamn lightshow.

*Flash! Flash! Flash!*

Ten cards materialized in sequence, each one flipping to reveal its contents.

The 1st seven were standard bronze borders.

R-tier.

Common waifus with foundational abilities and standard designs.

'Of course.'

But then,

*Shing!*

One card stood from the bronze color.

The 8th card had a silver border.

SR-tier!

A cat-eared beast woman with twin daggers appeared, her stats showing superior agility and stealth capabilities.

'Hmmm… not bad, not bad.'

The 9th card was also bronze.

More R-tier disappointment.

And the 10th...

Bronze again.

'Mhm. As expected of my luck.'

Well.. one SR out of 10 pulls was technically above average at this point, considering the pull rates.

But still… It felt like a slap in the face, sarcastically half-blaming his cursed gacha luck.

But Nero will still plow through.

'Again.'

He initiated another 10-pull, watching his ticket count drop to 22.

*Whoosh! Flash! Flash! Flash!*

The same elaborate lightshow played out.

Seven bronze borders appeared in sequence.

The 8th was a shiny silver once more.

SR-tier, a dryad with nature affinity in a maid outfit.

9th bronze.

10th bronze.

No matter how veteran you are in gacha games, the thought of max pulling in a hard pity…

'Is still painful as ever.'

But he still needs to proceed.

'Again!'

12 tickets remaining.

*Whoosh! Flash! Flash! Flash!*

8th bronze.

Another silver…

10th bronze.

'AGAIN!'

2 tickets left.

*Whoosh! Flash! Flash! Flash!*

His heart was pounding now as each card revealed itself.

Bronze, bronze, bronze…

And then,

Wait!

*FLAAASH!*

The 5th card exploded with golden light so brilliant he had to shield his eyes.

'No way…'

The border wasn't bronze or silver.

It was GOLD.

GOLD!

SSR-tier!

'Holy shi–'

And then the card flipped dramatically, revealing…

"Ah."
