RISE OF THE MARTIAL GOD

Chapter 74: NOT NORMAL

"Stop right there. Do you think it's possible to safeguard the formula with your own strength? Being too greedy and stubborn will only lead you to ruin. If not for your sake, think about your family. Think about your sister. What effect would your reckless decision have on her?" Howard said firmly, trying to prevent him from leaving.

The moment he mentioned 'sister', Kaiser's eyes turned glacial and the temperature around him dropped to an alarming rate, faster than the speed of light. He clenched and unclenched his fists, trying to control his anger. After a few seconds his emotions returned to normal and he turned around.

"Oh, we have finally gotten to the main point of this bullshit. It has now deteriorated to threats. Wow. Amazing. However, I also have a surprise for you all." He replied, smirking at them.

"Being stubborn about this matter will only make it more ugly. Just hand over the formulas. You should learn to appreciate favors when they come. You might feel angry now, but you will come to understand that we're doing you a favor by taking away this burden from you. Hand it over right now and rest easy. Youths should not be too hot headed if they want to live long." The grand elder chipped in.

Kaiser chuckled and nodded.

"Indeed, being too stubborn about this matter would only make it more ugly. I was going to let this outrageous request slide. But at this point, there's no need."

"Kaiser, be reasonable. If you're too greedy while eating, you will choke. If you want to live comfortably, hand over the formula. We are all family here, let's not make this difficult." Howard insisted, not waiting for Kaiser to finish.

Kaiser pretended not to hear him, smirking coldly.

"Threatening me with my sister's life. How dare you? I will say it one more time, none of you has any right to whatever my brother and I own. And since it has come to the point of threats, I might as well say this. Everything that was said here has been recorded and is in the process of being sent to news streaming platforms. Including you all threatening me with my sister's life. In five minutes, the whole world will know more about the dragon clan and how greedy you all are. And the faces of all of you urging me were also captured. So consider your next words carefully."

The people around were immediately horrified.

"Have you gone crazy? Everything discussed in the elders council conference room is meant to be confidential, how dare you live stream it?" One of the elders shouted in anger.

"Are you just realizing it? I'm crazy, a mad beast on the loose. You're already getting angry, I still have more things to say to you all." Kaiser said, smiling broadly at them.

"When did you start recording?" The grand elder asked coldly, summoning his sword.

"From the first time you asked for the drugs. Do you think I don't know what you guys were upto? It's too bad that you all do not have any shares in the pharmaceutical company, it's a private property. Even if I give in to you all, and hand over the formulas, which is absolutely impossible. How do you intend to convince the rest of the world that it wasn't stolen from me? The rest of the world will know that the elders council of the dragon clan are a group of despicable bastards who think they can rob someone by throwing their weights around."

"Kaiser Meyers. You have lost your mind." The grand elder growled in fury and summoned his sword.

Kaiser chuckled and looked at him derisively. No, you guys have lost your minds. And I'm helping you all retrieve them." He said and turned to leave.

The grand elder sneak attacked him with a slash of his purple sword at full blast. Kaiser immediately bent sideways and caught the blade between his two fingers. Time seemed to stop as everyone wondered if their eyes were deceiving them. Did Kaiser just stop the grand elder's fully charged attack? With mere fingers nonetheless? He didn't even summon a weapon! But at this moment, everyone doubted the reason for not bothering with a weapon. It should be because he didn't have the time to summon one. But it seemed more as if he couldn't be bothered to draw his sword because he looked down on the grand elder's skills.

Before the rest could recover from the shock, he drew the sword closer to himself while still trapping the sword tip between his forefinger and middle finger, and suddenly pushed it back. The grand elder staggered back and coughed up blood.

"What a joke! Showing off your might before me, you must be delusional. Do not force me to retaliate mercilessly." Kaiser whispered in a voice that seemed to come from the pits of hell.

"Don't think about stepping out of this place without handing over the video recordings you took. And it's even more impossible for you to leave without dropping the formulas. Since you won't accept the toast, get ready to drink the forfeit."

Kaiser smiled and touched his nose as if trying to hide an emotion.

"Keeping me here, do you even have that ability?" He asked, not hiding the mockery in his tone. "Since you're shameless enough to do something so disgusting, I see no problem with letting the rest of the world know what's going on. If you dare to do something, you should also dare to admit it."

The grand elder chuckled and gestured to the other elders, and they immediately stood up, walking towards Kaiser in a formation.

"Ah ha! You think trapping me in a formation would turn me to a sheep on a chopping block, is that it? But I, Kaiser, I'm never helpless." He said and summoned a weapon. The weapon looked like a long golden nail, with the tip very sharp.

"I wonder how painful this hell's claw pin would be if it pierces a greedy heart. The blood splashing around would be a beautiful sight to behold." Kaiser said with a smirk, caressing the area his fingers were encircling.

"Cut the crap. Elders, remember no pain no gain. Every risk is worth taking as long as the reason is justifiable, and the rewards rich enough. Besides, no matter how powerful he is, can he defeat all the powerful elders here alone? Especially when the elders are in a formation." Brent said, his eyes filled with hate towards Kaiser, the thorn in his side.

Kaiser smiled and kept quiet, twirling the weapon in his hand leisurely as he waited for them to finish their incantation. Brent was at the center of the formation, making Kaiser guess that the formation required lots of vitality to execute.

Without warning, a full blast of attack from all thirty people present in the council meeting came crashing down on him like a wave of angry waves.

"Wow. The formation is packed tight with killing intent. So it's not merely to hurt me as a warning, it's to kill me and eliminate this bone lodged at your throat once and for all. Hahaha. Amazing." Kaiser muttered coldly, and immediately aimed his nail at the feet of one of the more powerful elders, while simultaneously summoning a tornado to protect him. The tornado absorbed all the attacks hurled at him. And he hurled the attacks back at them, same time the formation got broken.

The point he hurled the hell's claw pin was the heart of the formation, not Brent. But they didn't expect him to see through the secret formation they have been practicing for a long time at a glance.

Every one of them immediately lost their balance, spiralling out of control. More than half of them fell to the floor, others clutched their chests while the rest vomited blood from the effects of the backlash.

They looked up at Kaiser in fear and saw him smirking at them, his eyes filled with disdain. The mockery in his eyes were visible for all to see and know he only thought of them as a clown.

"What a joke. You want to hurt me with this much strength. None of you can beat me in my real form, I was just going easy on you. I told you I'm no longer human. Competing with a beast is the greatest mistake you can make. Meanwhile, Brent, did you love the surprise you got?"

"This bastard." Brent muttered under his breath.

"I heard that. And one more thing, if my sister encounters any kind of accident, I will let Leo experience whatever she encounters. Stay in your lane and stop acting like clowns." Kaiser completed and left without turning back, while the rest looked at his receding back in horror.

Leo stood at the balcony of his room, watching the finger that bore the scar of Rona's blade. Although he immediately re-attached the finger using surgery, and also healed it using internal energy and special elixirs, the scars remained.

Memories of her happy laughter conflicted with her hate filled gaze in his mind, making his heart twist in pain. He had spent all his life with Rona. Saying he felt nothing for her was a lie. They had done lots of things together, and she was a comforting presence in his weary life. But unfortunately, they were from the dragon clan, where loyalty was non-existent, only benefits.

"Rona, how much do you hate me now?"
