The First Mythical Dragon: Harem System

Chapter 207: Ava Blue!

"Wait, you know about demons?!" Max asked, his brows raised in confusion.

"Yes!" the woman shouted, her teeth grinding back and forth while she glared furiously at the men in front of her.

"Wait, what?!" Jim and Max shouted in unison.

'Who is she? How can she know about the demons? Is that even possible?' Max thought, his brows furrowing as he studied the woman standing before him.

"How do you know about the demons?" Jim asked, one brow raised as his glare sharpened. The groans of the injured men behind them filled the room, echoing faintly against the walls.

"And why should I tell you that? What right do you have to question me?" the woman snapped, her fists trembling, nails digging into her palms.

"The fact that we almost fell prey to your shady schemes with the Dark Forces should give me every damn right to question you!" Max clapped back, his voice rising as his fists clenched tighter.

"And right now, it sickens me to the core to hear that despite knowing about demons and demon vessels, you still decided to work with them! Sending people after people to be eaten alive without even putting up a fight? Shame on you! You gave up too easily while hiding in this room and ordering others to die in your place."

"What gives you the right to talk down on me?!" the woman roared, pure fury flashing across her face. Her nails dug even deeper into her palms until faint traces of blood appeared.

Her jaw was tight, her teeth grinding so hard that the sound could almost be heard. "Who even are you to barge into my room, beat up my men, and question me like this? You think you're some kind of hotshot?"

"I knew it was a bad idea for a woman to lead this gang. They always act based on emotions and not logic. Tch!" Jim scoffed as he turned his head away, folding his arms.

"Hey there, bro," Max said sharply, frowning at him. "I get you're annoyed, but no need to be misogynistic here."

"I'm sorry, sire. It was a slip of the tongue," Jim quickly said with a dramatic bow, lowering his head in exaggerated apology.

"And how many times should… you know what? Forget it," Max sighed, dragging his palm across his face. "I'm already getting used to this."

'Huh? It's clear that the misogynist is a hybrid, so why is he bowing and following orders from this other man?' the woman thought, her sharp blue eyes flicking between the two figures before her. 'Could it be that he's a hybrid too? If that's the case, he must be even stronger. This might actually get dangerous.'

"Now, where were we?" Max mumbled before lifting his head again, his sharp gaze locking on the woman. "Oh yeah! I just need one thing from you. We don't need to fight."

"Huh?" the woman muttered, brows furrowing as confusion crossed her face.

"Where is the base of operation of the Dark Forces gang?" Max asked calmly. "I can sense it from here, you're still human. So there's absolutely no reason for me to fight you. My only goal is to rid this world of demonic filth and every vessel they control. That's my job… and I intend to finish it."

"So kindly tell me what I need to know as soon as possible," Max said, his voice calm but firm, his yellow eyes glinting with restrained intensity.

"I have no answers to give. Before you get them, you will have to pry it from my cold corpse," the woman replied, taking a battle stance, muscles coiled and ready for anything.

"You saw his strength," Max muttered, gesturing toward Jim. "What do you think he is? You should know he's strong, and there are actually two of us. How exactly do you plan to handle that while taking a battle pose?"

"I'm sure I can handle two hybrids with no problem," the woman replied with a frown, one leg positioned behind the other. All her weight pressed down on her dominant foot, and her sharp eyes were locked on the men in front of her, calculating every possible move.

"Like I said, we don't have to fight. Let's be civil here," Max muttered, a deep frown crossing his face.

"I might not like them, but I have no choice. I cannot divulge any information to unknown strangers. This is your last chance—leave now and exit this town tonight. If you still insist on pressing forward, you will face my wrath," the woman said, raising her hands in a warning, fingers tensed and pointed toward them.

Sigh!

Max muttered as he shook his head. "Honestly, I'm exhausted speaking with you. Jim, be gentle."

"Oh hell yeah!" Jim yelled excitedly, banging his hands together. His claws glistened in the dim lighting, and his fangs were bare as he grinned at the woman, who still did not flinch.

"Bring it on, and I implore you, don't hold back," the woman muttered with a small, confident grin.

"Screw you!" Jim shouted as he blasted forward like a bullet, appearing before the woman in the blink of an eye, moving so fast that no human should have been able to dodge.

He swung his fist toward her face at half his full speed, but the woman's smirk never wavered. With a swift twist of her leg and a spin to the side, she easily dodged the punch, which caused Max's eyes to widen in surprise.

'Hold on, that's only half of Jim's total speed, but no human should be able to react this fast. That's impossible!'

"Get away!" the woman thundered, grabbing Jim's outstretched arm and, with all her strength, twirling him around and hurling the newly turned dragon two metres away.

"How?!" Max shouted in shock, turning toward Jim, who was rising with a deep frown on his face, as the woman stood upright, radiating poise and power.

"I told you not to hold back, didn't I? You shouldn't have messed with me at all," she snarled, her frown deepening as her eyes glimmered with intensity.

"Who… who are you really?" Max asked, his gaze sharpening as he glared at her, teeth grinding together.

"The one and only," she began, and at that moment, a sharp, crackling sound filled the air. A shimmering light began to radiate around her hands and legs.

In a split second, lightning coiled around her limbs, sparks dancing across her skin. Her eyes twinkled with deadly amusement as she grinned wider at the dragons taking a step back in surprise.

"Ava Blue, the sole survivor of the Lightning Clan," she declared, thrusting her hand into the air with all her might. A blazing ball of lightning shot forward at blistering speed.

Its target? Jim.

BAM!

The ball slammed into the newly turned dragon with unimaginable force. He was lifted off his feet and hurled out of the room, crashing through walls as his body flew at blistering speed. Max stood frozen, mouth wide open, staring at the sheer power of the woman before him.
