The First Mythical Dragon: Harem System

Chapter 181: Feel the power of an S rank!

Just when the demon was about to finish Drey off, someone quickly intervened, sending its body flying away. Panting heavily in front of the S rank was Max, blood dripping down his mouth, arms, and side.

[Adrenaline Rush Activated]

Luckily, he arrived just in time as his skill had come off cooldown. He darted forward to assess the fight only to see the S rank on the ground and the demon towering over him, ready to strike again.

"ARGHHHH!" The demon roared in pure anger as it staggered out of the building it had been smashed into. Its stomach had already healed, but it was too enraged, glaring at Max with blazing fury.

"You this fucking annoying dragon, go away!" The demon shouted as its grip over its sickles tightened. It tugged on its hair as if wanting to pull it out, its eyes radiating pure hatred toward the human.

"Hunter Drey, I will back you up as much as possible. I can't just stand around and let you do all the work alone," Max said, keeping his eyes on the raging demon. The S rank was slowly rising, wiping specks of blood from his cheeks after narrowly avoiding several strikes.

"That is if you can actually help," Drey replied as he gripped his glowless sword tighter, his gaze locked on the demon still ranting like a lunatic.

"Just fucking GO TO HELL!" The demon thundered, its eyes now glowing pitch black. In an astonishing burst of speed, it darted forward like a shadow in the night.

"Ready," the hunter said, holding his sword aloft as it began to glow once more. Without hesitation, he exploded forward to meet the demon, but surprisingly, it pivoted away, evading the strike.

Swiveling just as his weapon struck its shoulders, the demon didn't care, as all its attention shifted to Max, who had already noticed and prepared himself.

[Draconic Force Palm Activated]

CLAP!

KA-BOOOM!

The air shattered as a massive shockwave blasted outward, slamming into the demon with full force. Despite its efforts to resist, the blast pushed it backward, its heels carving deep trenches as it struggled to maintain footing.

And that was just in time. Drey spun around and darted towards the demon, appearing in front of it in a flash. His sword shot forward diagonally, but the demon sidestepped, evading it entirely.

Using all its strength, it slammed a kick right into the S rank, sending him tumbling backward. Then, with deadly precision, it spun around and dashed toward Max.

Leaning forward, claws bulging and gleaming in the night sky, the dragon shot forward as he leaped into the air, meeting the demon mid-flight. The demon's sickles sliced through the air as Max's claws streaked forward with full force.

CLANG!

BANG!

Their weapons collided violently, claws and steel meeting in a deafening crash. The force of the clash sent Max's body spiraling out of the air, blood spraying from his mouth.

The demon wasn't ready to let him go. It quickly kicked off the air and shot toward the falling dragon like an arrow.

"Just DIE!" the demon roared, splitting the night sky with its fury as its claws swung at Max. The dragon crossed his arms, bracing for the strike but the weapons never landed. Instead, a loud bang rang out again.

Looking up, Drey could be seen blocking not only the strike but also landing a punishing blow on the demon's side, causing blood to pool as he landed gracefully. Damian too touched down safely beside him.

"Stop meddling for devil's sake!" the demon thundered, its voice so powerful that nearby glass shattered instantly.

"No, can't do. Now I want you to stand still for me," Drey said, pointing his sword forward, causing it to glow even brighter. "I still need to kill you."

"ARGHHHHHH!" the demon howled, pure rage fueling it as the black around its eyes expanded. With all its might, it bolted toward the human, claws and fury combined, while the hunter himself didn't relent, darting forward to meet it head-on.

[Ruler's Hand Activated]

Max pointed his hand outward, lifting a chunk of rubble from the ground and hurling it toward the demon with all his might. The demon howled as the debris slammed toward it, but sensing it in time, one of its sickles tore through the rubble while the other clashed violently with Drey's sword. Sparks flew as steel met steel, sending shockwaves across the battlefield.

From there, everything became a blur of movements, too fast for Max to track. Drey and the demon moved across the streets like whirling storms, their clash shaking the surrounding area.

Houses shuddered, crumbled, and cracked as the impact of their blows distorted the air. Bangs echoed continuously, and the ground itself split and fractured beneath them.

Finding small openings, Max hurled fireballs intermittently, explosions ripping through the air as rubble ignited. Soon, the battlefield was a chaotic inferno, flames licking across broken structures and debris scattered everywhere. Smoke and heat mixed with the acrid smell of scorched stone and wood, creating a scene of absolute devastation.

Finally, the duo leaped apart, huffing and panting from the intense clash. The demon was covered in wounds that were slowly healing, while Drey bore several light scratches across his body, his clothes torn in places.

"Damn it, I need to find a way to make it stand completely still so I can cleave its head," Drey muttered, teeth gritted in frustration.

"Stand still? I can help," Max replied, causing the hunter to glance at him sharply.

'Well, he is a dragon, and dragons always have tricks up their sleeves,' the S rank thought, then nodded, gripping his sword tighter.

"But you only have ten seconds," Max added, blood seeping from his mouth.

"I will make do," Drey replied. In that instant, a thunderous bang split the air as both he and the demon collided again, meeting dead center, the ground beneath them paying a heavy price. Dust and debris erupted, scattering in all directions.

"Here it goes," Max murmured, focusing.

[Dragon Roar Activated]

In an instant, his belly churned and boiled from the inside. Without holding back, he opened his mouth wide.

ROARRRRRRRR!

The earth-shaking roar split the air, traveling far across the battlefield. A distortion shimmered through the airwaves. The demon, about to attack, froze—not out of fear, but some other force it could not comprehend.

'Huh? Why can't I move? Move, damn it!' the demon thought, struggling violently, yet unable to shift. Meanwhile, Drey landed a metre away, his sword glowing fierce white, red eyes burning brightly. A mark appeared on his back, and his strength and speed surged to their absolute maximum.

"Feel the power of an S rank," Drey coldly said, swinging his sword with all his might. A massive white slash shot forth at incredible speed, illuminating the demon's eyes.

Horror filled its gaze.

'NOOOOO!' It screamed inwardly as finally, it was able to move but it was too late as the slash smashed into it with so much force that half its body was immediately decimated causing blood to spray out while the remainder of the slash crashed into a building splitting it in half and causing it to crumble.

"Ha! You missed, I can rege…"

"Did I miss though?" Drey's cold voice cut through the chaos as he reappeared directly in front of the demon. Using his extra speed, his sword streaked through the air, slicing the demon's neck clean off. The demon's eyes widened in shock and horror as blood gushed from its severed neck.

As the head fell, the remaining body shook violently, teeth grinding in fury.

'Th…the…we made a mistake leaving the humans for so long. They have grown stronger and th…that dragon is now a problem. Avenge me,' the demon thought before its head hit the ground.

Slowly, its body and head shattered into shimmering fragments before disappearing entirely from view.

"We…we did it," Max croaked, collapsing to his knees. Drey coughed up a mouthful of blood, his knees threatening to buckle, but he held his stance, refusing to fall.

Tring!
