Beside her, Qingluan asked curiously, "Goddess, is there really an Outer Chaos and Inner Chaos?"

Nuwa was accustomed to the glib tongue of her disciple, but seeing him able to bamboozle Zhunti still amused her.

"Hahaha, there is, definitely!"

No matter what, Bodhi Ancestor didn't continue to press the matter. He appeared to continue explaining the Six Divine Abilities to Nezha ordinarily, but inside, Saint Zhunti was already in turmoil.

Is there really an Outer Chaos and Inner Chaos?

He asked Nezha where the Three Pure Ones had gone, but was met with this counter-question. Did that mean they had already found the entrance to another world and started exploring it? He couldn't help but wonder.

While brainstorming, he hastily returned to Lingshan to meet his senior apprentice, Jieyin.

"Senior brother, have you heard of Inner Chaos?"

Jieyin was always deeply focused on cultivation; he hadn't even ventured into Chaos many times, let alone Outer Chaos or Inner Chaos. But his junior wouldn't lie to him.

"Where did you hear of this, junior brother?"

Zhunti was a Saint outside but with Jieyin, they were like good brothers who had gone through hardships together and achieved success. No need for pretense. He vividly described his journey of inquiring and how he obtained the news from Nezha.

Although Jieyin was a recluse, he knew a little about Nezha's reputation. Nezha, by his position, certainly wouldn't lie. However, his words always hovered between reliable and unreliable.

If you say he was fooling people, what he said really seemed to exist. If you say he was reliable, those truly in the know understood the matter had been twisted out of shape by him.

The two brothers discussed the issue for quite a while. In the eyes of Saints, this news had many loopholes, but the discussions always came back to "what if."

What if this is true?

At their level, their own pursuit was nothing but wanting to take another step forward. Thinking about surpassing a Saint! It's exhilarating! This was absolutely impossible in the Primordial world, but might there be a slim chance in the newly emerged Chaos?

Looking at his eager junior, Jieyin eventually said, "Junior brother, there's no need for us to guess. Whether it is true or not, we will know once we ask our teacher."

A slightly restless Zhunti nodded at these words, "Listen to the senior brother."

After speaking, the two of them directly headed beyond Chaos to find the Zixiao Palace. They didn't have much difficulty finding it, which suggested that the Daoist Ancestor was not intending to avoid them.

The Daoist Ancestor's cultivation was immeasurable. Facing the Daoist Ancestor, Saints felt no different than mortals facing a Saint.

The two Saints performed a salute outside the entrance before entering the Zixiao Palace. Within the ordinary Daoist Temple, at the top of the Cloud Platform, an ordinary old Taoist appeared.

"Disciples pay respects to teacher."

The old Taoist nodded.

"What brings you here?"

Representing both, Saint Zhunti respectfully said, "Teacher, we disciples have recently reached a bottleneck in our cultivation. We hope teacher can clear our doubts."

These two were registered disciples of the Daoist Ancestor, which still made them disciples. Casting aside other factors, it's only natural for disciples to ask teachers questions; Hong Jun didn't refuse and nodded to indicate they could ask.

The Mystic Sect emphasizes profoundness upon profundity. When you ask questions, you generally don't get a definite answer like in mathematics, only some enlightenment. Now that Zhunti wanted to ask questions, he dared not directly ask about Outer and Inner Chaos, so he probed with the first question: "Teacher, since we became Saints many years ago, is there any further path beyond?"

The Daoist Ancestor, well aware of the full story behind the matter, wasn't surprised by Zhunti's question and could confidently provide an answer: "Yes, the pursuit of the Way is endless; do not become complacent."

No teacher likes to see their students stagnate.

Zhunti and Jieyin exchanged a glance. Their belief in the existence of Outer Chaos and Inner Chaos increased. Then, Zhunti asked the second question: "Is there a chance for us to advance further in the endless Chaos?"

This question was a bit redundant. There wasn't such opportunity in Primordial Chaos, then certainly it could exist. But Zhunti still wanted to hear the Daoist Ancestor's response.

"Yes."

This was also an honest answer because when Pangu performed the Heavenly Creation, the Chaos Pearl was lost in Chaos—a Spiritual Treasure that parallels beyond Chaos Origin, sure to provide them with tremendous help.

But Zhunti and Jieyin had already misunderstood at this point! They firmly believed in the existence of Outer Chaos and Inner Chaos and were positive that the Three Pure Ones had indeed found the entrance to another world!

The Daoist Ancestor had never been one step below anyone; hence, he didn't quite understand Zhunti and Jieyin's mindset. He was still expecting the two to inquire about Outer and Inner Chaos, but contrary to his expectations, the two simply bowed.

"Thank you, teacher, for dispelling our doubts."

And with that, they took their leave.

Well, that should be okay.

Actually, Zhunti and Jieyin's behavior is easy to understand. There's a saying that goes, things should not be done more than three times. Graduating and going back to ask an academic question of your mentor is something they may kindly entertain; however, persistently pestering them is bound to make them dislike you because, after all, the two are merely registered disciples.

Back at Lingshan, now they couldn't sit still at all. Unlike the Three Pure Ones, they had different circumstances since they achieved Sainthood on borrowed merits. Could they just leave Primordial; what if they left and didn't return?

The best approach is for one to stay as collateral while the other goes to seek their fortune. Both had resolved to leave, Zhunti was the first to speak: "Senior brother, you go, I'll stay."

Jieyin shook his head.

"You and I have been seeking the Way together for many years; without you, I might as well not go."
